Good night all :)
i am ready for clues when it is time for them.
nm going to sleep.
Spent a lot of the last 45 min giving very detailed answers to English speakers learning Spanish on usage, but vocab and grammar. That was fun.
Hello. l just got up, did they findmore bombs?
Hello, DC :-) You are a better person than me then. i can just about manage to get by in my own language haha!
((zzoozz))
Hello, Ruby :-) Not that I am aware of.
did tyey find any more bombs?
No just the ones already sent.
mienmiens
sorry
I'll take that as I have only just started :-)
How are you Ruby?
watching the news last night was sickening!
sender
l can't chat and play
Yes lots of bad things happening all around the world. We humans sure know how to mess things up alright.
No worries, Ruby. Just chat when you want to.
l'm rattled by these new events in NY
I thought ' innie' was a word. For belly buttons I have heard people saying weather they have an innie or an outie.
Whether*
There are plenty of idiots out there, Ruby. If they do not have it their own way they will do really stupid dangerous things. I remember when it was anthrax being posted to people they did not like.
But Trump is the Reason the right-wingnuts feel emboldened and he never takes responsibility

Would of been good if it was there. That would save me looking for the 9 still :-)
126 and see yiu later
hope you have a great day, Ruby. Listen to some music that you like to take your mind off the bad things in NY.
Well found the 9! Was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.
I just found it too = my talent must be growing
:-)
Okay first run through and I have 66 words left to find. Will come back later to see if I can find any more words. Happy babbling everyone!
ga9, pl of gaquat
huh?
Ha ha Ruby. Especially since you are a ga8 : D
you think?
Not your word, but the one in the grid
Any more news, Molly? This is making me sick! l knew which one you meant.
Any more news, Molly? This is making me sick! l knew which one you meant.
I try to steer clear of the news. None of it is any good.
Did you ever see the film Saving Grace? Perhaps, with my green thumb; l should do the same thing>.>>
You would be the most popular woman in the village : )
My housekeeper just walked the dogs and when they crossed paths with a border collie, unleshed who was cavorting in the road with his mistress. My dogs did Nothing but the collie froze and tried to make himself invisible by squshing himself into the wall at the side of the road. Too funny.

Does anybody have a tip for a nail which splits vertically?
I run a line of superglue along mine and file it off a little bit , lasts a few days
Keep the nail very short until the split/weakness grows out. I have tried Malvala strengthening products but nothing really worked
hello friends - this chat is bringing back memories of Car and I, in our teenage years, drinking Knox gelatin every night, in order to grow our nails....
we heard a rumor that if we sent them a nail an inch long, they would pay $50 for it, an unheard of sum!
that sounds disgusting - drinking gelatin that is
as I remember, it kind of was.....at least it was orange flavored? sort of like sludgy Tang....yeah, upon reflection-- pretty damn gross.
didn't work either.
ugh - we did that, too. once.
i remember that.
night everyone

no matter how many times I type it, scenic is not in today's grid.
... neither is irenic
that's ironic. ;-)
.... that's not there either
heh.
i would love a clue for the right side i
... so would I ... but everytime I try an i-word it shows up on the top
me too
well, with 111, i must head to work. Have a splendid day, all!
... you too
lt is beautiful and Sunny, but with a cool undercurrent. l was still able to have my lunch outside.
... sun is trying to come out ... but it's far too cold for a lunch outside ... it's about 2 Celsius with a north wind
Fall has been perfect -- warm afternoons, cool night. But Lake Annecy is disappearing. Maybe it's in Google.
And local small rivers are dry
... happening in a lot of places ... in 2006 I saw it west of the Mississippi ... I think it was the Arkansas was the first time I saw a river getting smaller as it went downstream
lt's so dramatic that tourists are coming here to see it.
My son, who lives in Austin where there were floods not so long ago, is now having to boil water to wash vegetables.

Hi Judi
... well we will raise the temperature of the planet and melt the glaciers which means there's nothing left of the old glacial lakes
... I don't know how much longer Lake Louise in Alberta will last ... the glacier is about a third of what it was when I was a kid ...
l just checked google; there are photos of the lake which is 60cm lower than normal
l'm afraid to Watch the news.
Have they found any more bombs?
... not that I've noticed ... but I haven't had the radio on ....
hello
... good morning
Seems like the FBI is in full-blown search mode on a lot of post offices. One in our area (near Joe Biden) is being searched right now.
good morning dose
dose, Lake Louise is so beautiful. The entire area is gorgeous
... it certainly is ... but without the glacier to feed it each spring ... I don't think that the lake survives ... ... then what will they do with the big hotel?
i love spending time up in the mountains - if you go off the beaten trail, there are lakes that can take your breath away
Use it for movies. Is't that where they fimedThe Shining?
Yes, as is Glacier NP in Montana. We have ruined the planet
last column first e?
takes me less than 1.5 hr to get to banff, about 3.5 to get to the edge of glacier park
I think the blame for pollution rests squarely on the shoulders of China and India. They far out-rank the US in emissions of every sort. At least the US has taken measures (and is taking even more) to curb emissions. China and India however... nada.
Never got to Jasper though
And those statistics can be found in the latest issue of National Geographic, if anyone is interested in fact checking.

Hi, how are you busy woman?
taking a day "off" Help son with some construction and now going to answer some Election Protection voice mails from home. :)
Good for you! Glad you sort of took time off.
I am coming to Houston Nov 1 thru Nov 7. Rice Homecoming and campaigning and then nonpartisan helping at ta poll.
I have been pretty good about taking Thurs off. I have seen burnout and it is not pretty.
Hi all. Dropping in for a few words between my jobs.
hi mom
How's the grid today?
I found the 9 almost immediately
it at least seems to be a quick start. . . we will see
steady
Glad to hear it...will try to come in and say hi while you're here. Off now to get ready for the Texan game. Traffic is going to be a mess. Good luck, all!
have fun
enjoy, champ
I can usually get about half before it slows to a trickle
vowell words frequently stimy me.
stymy?
struggling w ad7/8
sometimes I think: if I could spell I would be really good at this game. . . but then I misspell something and it turns out to be a different word. . .
sometimes I think if I had a memory I'd be good at this game!!!
hehe
It's the words I don't use on a daily basis, and forget after I found them
I don't know until I played babble I never thought about nene and er terns ternes
Like em4
ack I was going to clean that up!!!!!
*heads to penalty box*
*starts to dust* wow has this place been neglected!
haha, I don't go there much bc I don't chat as much.
oh to me chatting is 90% of the fun. . . I have made great friends over the years
yes, have made many wonderful friends here through the years. :)
I'm trying to jump in more lately.
and DC comes to my bbq every summer! haha
a lovely time always, thank you for having me :)
Not sure I know if any babblers live close by
not sure where vancouver is in relation to Olympia
I'm in Vancouver, WA. My sister lives in CA. She turned me onto the game years ago - bc she knows how I love word games/puzzles.
Olympia is just a few hours away
there are several babblers in SF and SD
Stidmama is in Olympia I believe
my hubby was an Evergreener
It would be great to add a map to the facebook Babble page that pins our (general) location
what a good idea. But a little beyond me at this point.
I can come up w the idea, just not the process, haha
When I was traveling a lot for my job I always came on and asked if any babbler lived near where I was going. . .
DC is that something you can do that people could add to?
I have enough computer tech involvment w my business
champ and I have met up in Houston where she lives and DC where I now live. DC and thumper and several others have had meet ups here.
re 7/32, the first one, pls
I will have to try that. I'm a little cautious on social media to 'friend' people I don't actually know. Safety first.
well babbleland did have a long term . . . not a troll but catfish???
but I figure I meet people first in a public place and odds are good that it will go well
several babblers are related
I saw some of that in the chog, but didn't chime in. Happens too often.
And I have met the parents of a few
well he
well he's long gone and when trolls come if you ignore them they get bored pretty fast. . .
I hear about it a lot from my older clients being scammed, esp w computer related issues
Me. . .I like to poke the trolls . . .
As a tax lawyer I have found that if you don't give money to people you don't know you won't get scammed.
My hubby does good at messing w scam callers
Interestingly enough the number one group that got caught by the most recent "IRS" scam were educated people who were so worried about getting awrong foot with the service they just read their credit card info to a total stranger on the phone.
My mentally challenge client was smart enough to say no. Send me a letter.
stats for the bottom right S please
re 7/32, the first one, pls
I got an email from a ".gov" asking to take a census for my business. It asked for lots of detail info. I'm sure if I did it, there would be a credit card request at the end for something. Didn't fall for it. Kept getting threats that I was "out of compliance".
sorry bichon I do not have it
Don't have re7 either
the government doesn't do census by email.
dont understand people getting caught on phone. Thereis no way I would give anyone any details. I even refused to speak to y own bank once because II didnt believe who they were!!
se 7/36, pls
Re7/32 mails again
We had a spateof calls here on our answerphones saying it was Inland Revenue and unless we returned the call prosecution would begin. Obviously it was one of those phone numbers that charge a million pounds a minute. I just swore and hung up!!
I am with you deeha. It does baffle me too. I was amazed that people thought the IRS would call out of the blue and tell they owe thousands of dollars of which they were unware and threaten to se** the local police. Like the IRS can control the local police!
hi une!
But people are so unreasonably terrified of the tax collector they just paid up with their credit card!
I get a lot of "you won a free vaca" from Marriott. Since my husband travels (every week) and uses that hotel, it doesn't seem out of place, but I still request to be removed from their list. I still get calls about twice a week from them. It's also a scam.
Wouldnt happen to me but only because I earn so little I'm not even up to the tax threshold!!!
haha well like I said the most of the people who got caught by that scam were educated professional people.
mom look up nomorobo
it works fairly well for my landline
We now have 'privacy' laws so they cant phone you technically. If they do you are supposed to say (angrily!!) How did you get this number! So most 'cold calls' are automated so theres no piint in telling them to er puh off!!
push not puh
I am familiar with that. However, the callers are using piggy-back systems - using local numbers. And, I get a lot of unknown callers due to my business. I think I will need to separate out my business cell from my personal sooner or later.
wonder if there is nomorobo for GB. It has been against the law for sometime here but technology helps
nomorobo doesn't do it by the number calling but it will ring your phone once and if it is a robocall it doesn't ring again. Still get politcal calls etc.
I actually get quite a bit of business from auto-call systems. It would affect my income not to get those calls. Usually the scam calls just hang up when they get a business answering.
okay I am stuck so will wander off for a while. . .
I need the first re 7/32
I understand the problem mom. . . I always have to answer my cell. . . :)
sorry bichon

sorry....keyboard problems...
the older i get, the less patient i am with bad food or bad service...
