bad day today, everything hurts
May I have stats for the Y please?
yo5/18 - it's not a word that you're likely to be familiar with. The default dictionary doesn't have it, and even Google wasn't very enlightening.
Looking.....
That...is an odd word
I'm not convinced that it really is a word that should be in Enable, but whatever...
It's apparently a Jewish holiday or festival
It's a plural
Only in combination with "tobim" or "tovim".
Indeed
Plural for day in Hebrew

hi all, a baby grid today
It is. Good morning!
your pup is adorable, Champ !
ditto, champ!!
She is, but she's a lot of work! I knew better, but fell in love. She's taking a nap at the moment, thank goodness!
lol - sounds like having a baby or a toddler around
EXACTLY. Take your eye off of her for a minute, and she's doing something she shouldn't. Also, falls asleep at the drop of a hat.
aww ...
ca6, please?
You put coffee in it to keep it warm
ty Champ!
good morning friends. In Oceanography class right now - students are doing a lab. I wonder if Platyhelminthes will be appearing in a grid soon?

does the yo5 head up or down?

Only the big volumes (also excellent reading) are in print, and on Amazon. Cheaper from me--half price. But if you buy, buy from a site, please make it the U of Wis Press. One of my stories, called I think "Work" was used in national testing--maybe McGraw Hill. For a number of years, a while back. Illustrated by my daughter, if anyone needs a superb web site. She used to be on Babble, now only Rastapopolous is, who lurks but knows all the hard words, and once in a while gives qa clue.
I'm out...Any clues needed?
bzzz...
My Northwestern editor thinks my "Facts of Life" is he best (and funniest) he's ever read on the subject.
congrats Bea!
I am a good writer but a bad promoter. Sigh.
bbs, bagel time
i just started the silliest instagram account, sort of as a joke, but isn't that how all truly wonderful stories start? It's called "curlylizzieb" if you want to follow. I post a picture of my hair when I wake up each day. Its STUPENDOUS. My daughters and I are just SURE it's the key to success - free products, hair endorsements, a spot on Ellen....it's aLL gonna happen! lololololol
got the y, yummy yummy
I'll get daughter #4 to look it up--also rasta ( SHE'S #3)--I can hardly manage the basics on this computer. One of them will help me find instagram. If they are patient with me--or, they can enjoy it themselves!

Hi Welki
we're getting our share of freezing weather now - wind chill is nearly -40C
Brr, welki.

brutal for the homeless
Phone call...
A homeless guy, a well-known man that people have cared for 25+ years froze to death last week in the blizzard last week. My parents used to buy him meals and give him money.
TY for the clue, aloy, my monkey found it.
That's terrible scrabs
a good part of my client base is homeless - i'd look out for them between appearances, resource those who wanted help, arranged for the front line agencies to keep an eye out for them. definitely not in job description, but i felt obligated to help
He was offered a room at a hotel Thursday but turned it down.
so many are so ill, scrabs - not uncommon for them to stay away from shelters and offers of housing.
so sad
People--his family and the police--have tried for years to help, but he wanted his independence. Storeowners and others did provide boots, clothes, and food.
can't force help on those who don't want it - often to their peril :(
He slept in a wooded area and walked through the village every day.
we need to have the freedom to die if we wish.
He was so beloved.
I passed halfway. Off to shop for my mother. Enjoy the day.

He's like the Barry Manilow of Folk Music
Yeah, now that you know what mascara is : P
LOL
Weezer's cover is SO not John Denver's version.
Useless fact of the day. John Denver's uncle was my junior high principal.
lol. Name dropper!
did he know how to fly planes too ?
His rewal last name was Deutschendorf. LOL
Cool magmom!
hi. Count for lower right lone r please?
ra5/12 trif
No ru, but he always rode his bike to work.
yeah I can see John Deutschendorf doesn't just roll off the tongue for a stage name
Yes magmom, now that you mention that, I remember. Denver suited him much better.
thanks ru, looking
and got it. It always astounds me how helpful the count is.
yes, the count is wonderful in many ways

looked for definition of yo word-apparently unknown! Don't you hate it when that happens!
Hebrew plural of day 1 yom, 2 or more yomim.
yom kippur -- day (of) atonement, for example.
LOL firewords with the mob, despite having the adj.
yo5,14 and am5,14 no definition but love the clues.
Good Day! This grid today seems to be just a jumble of letters with not many words. I was about to give up on it & then found about 10 common words! It's kind of funny how that works, isn't it?
The yo5 word is a transliteration of a Hebrew word meaning days. Why it is acceptable in this grid is a total mystery/misery to me!
I agree, Naches. It boggles my mind at times what is accepted & what isn't
hi all. 60 degrees here today!!!
Lucky You! We're at 11 degrees & heading back to sub-zero temps again this week. :-/
I am thrilled. windows are open, sun is out. not sure why the landlady has the heat on tho
it' is gorgeous out today where i am, too. :)
supposed to be nice all week
Okay; I'm jealous. ;-)
wish my neighbor was here to enjoy the nice weather. he died last month :(
sorry I would love to send you some sunshine, Nef
Hey, DC; since she mentioned it; my brother with ALS died last week. He was diagnosed just 2 years before died
That's okay, peri; you do know weather is a topic that we all love (either to brag or gripe about)
I am so sorry about your brother, Nef. May he RIP
coir
whoops, sorry!
Thanks, peri. I was glad to be with him when he passed and for the 9 days before that. he communicated through a spelling board; and we had some serious long "talks" over that time. all of his family was able to be with him and "chat" with him over that time.
Thanks, gum punk, appreciate the "clue!" ;-)
that is good Nef. glad you were all able to be with him
fw happy babbling
YAY, peri!!! WTG!!!
New, deep condolences an your brother's passing. 24-36 months is the normal course for ALS in my family also.
warm, but we're expecting rain her Wed/Thur.
Thanks, dc. Do you have other family members with it? I'm highly suspicious that there may have been an environmental exposure that may have increased or caused my brother's disease. (There is no one in our relations that has had it)
(he worked on the tracks for the railroad; I'm suspicious because of the way the railroad disability insurance separates out ALS; plus (according to his wife) there were several of his co-workers who also had ALS)
My father, his sister, their mother, and her brother all died of it.
Huh. US Secret Service found my father's early onset (38 at at diagnosis, 41 at death) work-related, and my mother still gets survivor benefits with healthcare.
Oh, MY! I'm so sorry, DC! What about in your generation? Has it shown up in your generation at all?
(I bet it makes you wonder what he worked with that it was classified as work related; huh?)
6 left, all c words
a ca6 of wine would be nice, as might so salmon(s)
a free ticket or three

THanks, dc. I had 1 left; and you clued the trees! FW!! Thank you very much!

I have 3 cy words, is that it?
yes, lil* monkey, there are *only* 3
OK thank you!
And there is a real fish in those c words too!
Yes I got the salmon word
I tried every other combo of those last 3 letters Except the c!
Anyone need any clues? If not, I'm going to go fix some tea
enjoy your tea, Nef, and well done on finishng.
Thanks, dc. Enjoy your weather (while you can!)
