hello all
Bonjour!
lt's beautiful and Sunny, but still below freezing at night.
sonic
sorry
25F here right now, but the sun's not up yet
Yeah, we are in the low 30's. It's time for some warm, Spring air.
Hello Molly
should be mid-40s today
It's nice that it's time for all the celebrations of Spring. Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Purim, Ostara.
ostara?
Pagan celebration of Spring. Most people think of it as the Vernal Equinox.
aah, my fact for today
I am not loving this grid
I will go a step further, this grid is a pain in the ass.
not going to disagree with that
l haven't even found half
I'm at 38 found
well yay, hit 40
l think all of the spring holidays go hack to the pagan célébrations of re-birth
weird grid -- no t's
Many Spring celebrations do go back to the Pagan celebrations of re-birth. The whole Pagan wheel of the year is based on the different stages of life. And how Mother Earth provides for us in each season.
see you later -- tim" or a nap
time for*
It's a tough one today!
amen

hi Trif
Hey, you.

tertiare sent me a cute text yesterday - it was finally 34 degrees where she is, in new hampshire, for college, and all the kids were walking around in tee shirts and shorts, because it felt so warm to them
Living in a college town, I've seen lip flops in the snow
ugh! that seems extreme.
doesn't it
well, after the college formal we all jumped in a fountain, so I guess I had my college hijinks too.....
mine didn't result in any loss of toes, though, so there's THAT
young people dont seem to feel the cold.Whatever the temperature the gisls seem to be in low cut crop tops and mini skirts.
Their circulation works better than ours
they do run hot, that is for sure
speaking of which - beloved and I went to see Captain Marvel this weekend. It has been getting such raves! Tbh, I appreciated the effects and all, but it wasn't such a hoopty as all people have been making out. But maybe I've just gotten too old
those kind of movies aren't for me either
is it me or is this a toughie (the grid)
Uh oh if ruru finds it tough... I should give up
i'm only 2/3's of the way and stuck already.. not a good sign
and i have almost all the fours.. not a good sign there either
So many babblets that when I "monkeyed" one it took me a minute to realize it was an actual word one uses
i'm guessing the 8 is un.. but i haven't found it yet
The 8 is not un
oh.. ugh.. thanks
woot found the 8

hi all
Hey (((Zooz))). I spent the weekend in the UK. Attending a Baby Shower for the Soodle-Babe!! Only 7 weeks to go, and this Grandma is on tenterhooks!!!!
Hello, BDG
Hey Gwen :-)
Hello, Soodle..Not long now!
So much easier when someone else is preggers! :)
lol
Has a name been chosen yet?
I know!!! Mom to be looks well. Dad to be is still bitterly complaining that nobody is asking after him. I gave him a couple of clouts around the ear to bring him back to reality!!!
LOL good for yoy, Soodle!
Well they'll both have that complaint soon...it's all about the baby!
You*
The hot favourites at the moment are Harry for a boy & Lucy for a girl. Alternatives are Milly & PJ.
Nice names :-)
Great choices.
Son of Soodle was keen on the name George. He reckons George Dickinson sounds like a future Prime Minister. That was vetoed by everybody!!
George is not a bad name.
corners done woot
Hey Zooz - how are you feeling? You were a bit low the last time we chatted....
(George Bernard Shaw hated the name George)
Nice, Gwen!
I am okay thanks, Soodle.Just plodding along.
I can’t think of the name George without thinking of a large St Bernard dog..
me of the random awkward fact!
I like that Son of Soodle is thinking of the name of future leaders. That's how you name a child!
<—- Loves random facts, awkward or otherwise!
Ah, Champ.... the optimism of youth!!
Despite people saying leaded pencils...No pencils has ever contained any lead.
And Zooz, plodding along can be good. Don’t knock it. (Said the Wise Woman of Babble).
Agreed, Soodle :-)
se 6/27 is a stupid, stupid word!
Japanese poetry.
bottom row done, woot
98% of my life is plodding along. With the occasional (2%) pirouette!!!
I checked it, still annoys me.
Doing great, Gwen!
<---Does not pirouettes
Does not do*
Gwen is pirouetting through this grid. I am plodding. :-/
Ha!
weeeee! LOL
Right I am off. Time to read my book. Happy babbling everyone!
thank you! Have a lovely!
i flew from Dublin to Gatwick very early last Saturday. I had to get up @ 2.00am, which I did. I showered, did my hair, applied minimal make-up & left home. At Dublin Airport, I discovered I had left my suitcase at home. No time to turn back & get it.... because it was St Patricks weekend, alternative flights would have cost an arm & a leg... My son would have
My son would have mollafoostered me if I missed the Baby Shower, so I had to head off - bereft of make-up,toothbrush,underwear... everything!!! It was very stressful!!!!
Oh for goodness sake! The things we do for our children, (and grands!)!
FW finally! Some goofy words today.
And I survived, Champ!!! My DIL took me to a mall where I picked up the essentials. But, seriously - forgetting my suitcase is only the latest in a series of Senior Moments. Sheesh
Too numerous to count here, Soodle. Pretty sure The Menopause has sucked my brain right out~!

Hi all

Fi7?
se 6/27 - Japanese poetry if that helps - Starts with beginning of older people, then finishes with the name of a punning babbler with the sometime vowel inserted!
If you can work that out from my clue, you're amazing!
