hiya Christine! The cast came off and the healing is well underway, but the surgeon wanted me back in a soft cast for 2 more weeks, and I am to have another surgery to have one of the screws removed. Alas. So two more weeks of very limited mobility and then it should come off and stay off.
It's best to be sure (old lady speaking, here). I'm glad, for you, that everything is healing.
the screw must be taken out because it will break when I'd put weight on it. So it is for the best. Just sorry I will not be really mobile yet when Rose and Don are here. But grateful things are healing so well :) How are you doing today?
Look up couch potato, and there's a photo of me ... the laziest woman in the world. Except for the days I volunteer, at the library, every day is spent reading, and eating apples. I've found my true calling.

I had big plans, for retirement -- volunteer at the AIDS Hospice, some mornings- help with the math and English programs at the library - go to the museums there was never time for - then the hospice moved, the library program was discontinued, and my knees quit, so I can't walk for long periods. Nevertheless - I can still read, so I'm happy.

I can't believe how lucky I am to have found her though after 20 years of an awful marriage and, come September 21st, it'll be 10 years since we got together. Ten years - they've literally flown by too, but she is still as beautiful and radiant as the day I first saw her

These tulips are a surprise. Unfortunately, l think they dug up and disposed of the purple alium that used to be in that spot.
I planted some clematis yesterday. It seems like a timid little plant, I hope it thrives.
