today one of my students was reading a graphic novel instead of doing his work, and he was putting it inside the book he was meant to be working with. that very thing happened in anne of green gables - she was reading ben hur in class. when miss stacey caught her she pointed out that not only was it a misuse of her time, but that it was also a deception. so, i told my student the very same thing. he felt so guilty that he ended up crying. which come to think of it, i believe anne did too...
my students do the same but with tabs on internet
they dont know i can see everything they do :P
well, i have a student who does that, but he's just a sneaky manipulative prat, and he doesn't feel guilty, he only doesn't want to be caught.
