Well, I have 3 different machines that do different things. I just started clothes about a year ago. I feel I can do anything with instructions. But I do spend a lot of time ripping seams.
(and can crochet, needlepoint and knit - go figure)

I have a fancy machine, a serger (or overlocker if you’re elsewhere in the world) for constructing seams, and a coverstitch for hemming things (if you’re wearing a t-shirt, look down at the double lines on the bottom)
