i do love how my elderly neighbour comes in and tells me how much she is loving church and our activities. she says she prays every night. and she loves the thought that she can talk to God and our LOrd whenever she wants.

I suspect that it’s been a tough year for coz & he saw a good deal & may not have been thinking about that at the time. My kids have done the same thing.
check with your vet for local sitters. our neighbor does that - goes around to care for dogs while people are on vacation - walks them, etc.
