Une, I made a peach/pecan pie today. We are loving the summer peaches.
one slice of that pie would kill me.. but it sounds good

the peaches here have only been good.. i've had one good batch... the plums have been really good this year
It is a good combination. It would be good without the nuts as well. Something about crust, fresh peaches, brown sugar and cinnamon is really good.

No trees for me, I live in a condominium.
We have orchards around here though and the grocery store had fresh from the farm peaches today.

Now I want to go to the orchard farm stand and buy peaches nd blueberries
I got a peach tree last summer. It's in a container on my deck. Only one made it to almost ripe and a squirrel got it before we could pick it. This spring there were like 50 baby peaches and they caught a fungus so I had to take them all off. The squirrels were already getting them though. Hopefully next year.
i'm going to have to net my tree i think we have a few active squirrels here too
either that or rent-a-hawk
we have a hawk around but it apparently needs to work a little harder on the squirrels
my squirrel would be easy pickings.. he's not a bright one
I have aa compost pile in the back. Animals have been carrying off the canteloupe rins
just had a pluot... a cross between a plum and an apricot....... yum.
we have a million squirrels. I'm not sure netting would keep those suckers out.
squirrels are opportunistic eaters.. if it's too hard they tend to move on
last summer we tried growing watermelons & cantaloupes down by the pool and something kept taking them. I put a trail cam out there and it was a possum.
