what, are we just all typing words in here today? ;-)
it would be helpful to me if we were...
Yes, it's a new strategy. Babble Giveaway. : D
wouldn't be so bad, but with such a small grid, it took care of nearly 6% of the words *lol*
I'm wondering if newer, small devices to play on are making it less obvious to people when they type words in the chat box.
I'm not saying I've never done it myself, but I have to physically put the cursor into the chat box first. Not sure how it happens when you haven't even chatted yet. Maybe it is different on different devices.
there is one player who adds a ton of words into the chat on a regular basis - must have the chat window closed, because i have no clue how they can't see what they're doing
yes, I have said before I thought they were trolling us because they never even acknowledge that they did it
<-- is guilty of entering words into chat, too. i have a cursor with a wild hair :D
You would think someone would notice that all those words are not going into their MY WORD LIST but I guess not.
I try to type slower so that I catch myself before hitting enter, but sometimes one still slips through.
and yes, Molly, you would think
i once copied my word list for lickety and accidentally pasted it into chat...
LOL
mortified
did you go sit in the corner? :D
Really TO? I knew jmc did that. I thought she was the only one. : D
no, i headed for the liquor cabinet.
:D
Good call, bravo!
and have almost done it again several times. it is awful playing on phone, i had to finish up last 13 yesterday that way.
I have played on iPad mini while on vacation, but I hate it. Much prefer my laptop.
I looked at Babble on my phone once and said NFW. It is just too tiny for me.
agreed, I don't really like to do anything on my phone browser
lollygagging this AM. so far behind on work.guests coming tomorrow.
I have reached the age where I need readers for everything but never have them on me.
i play on the phone whilst on the train friday morninng and afternoon.
well, I have passed halfway but that's about it. no 7s or 8s. guess I will look back through the chat.
wow just realized one 8 and no 7s i try not to view stats in the beginning, just type.
ooh, just found my favorite word for boredom.
TO, I'm the same, just start typing. If I don't type words when I see them, I'll forget or think I put them in when I haven't actually.
it's a challenge today. challenge is good. though i may not be saying that if i'm still hunting late tonight.
then, when they disappear, you will have to type them again.
Phantom fiction
q words are generally easy to find, but one is hiding today.
yeah, I've only found 3 q's
4!

Yes, and it's weird, like most of the words in this one.
yes
this grid is not fu6 than most
i keep seeing even and ever
ditto
The Enable list is full of words, that when you look up the definition, the first word in the definition is "obsolete".

watching GMA all week they've had instapot recipes.
good work mixi, I have 40 left!
time to get moving. happy babbling.
I work with someone who says instapot people are like a cult. : D
are they worse than crockpot crackpots? ;D
I do love my instapot, but haven't really used it since we got our blackstone griddle.
they did pulle dpork today, apple crisp yesterday.
i have two male friends who swear by their pressure cookers. we never used them at home.
my mom used a pressure cooker my whole life. I got one as a wedding present but only ever made chicken in it. so much easier with the instapot and recipes are much more available.
I have an innate fear of exploding pressure cookers that I will probably never get over.
I think a lot of people have that fear. I overheard some people in Target once talking about it. I guess growing up with one in use all the time helped me.
Good morning, all.
Mother had two? Pressure cookers. I hated having to remove the thing on the top. W9nt get one.
morning, judi
I remember my mom running scared to the pot with a cap. When it was over, we'd all breathe a sigh of relief
*Won't
I wonder if anyone has actually made the instapot explode. seems pretty easy to not, just let the pressure out. I think it locks and won't even open when pressured.
Call me low tech. I only have a crock pot. That rarely gets used.
Google says yes they have. There is a law firm representing over 100 victims.
of course there is
I stick with my low tech crockpot too, Judi. I use it a lot in the summer when it's too hot to heat up the oven.
Alas. I only ever use it for making chili. I have tried a few other things and was just never happy with the results. Either stuff turned to mush or it was way overcooked.
well, I went to the list and still have 8 left (50% a's), so I am taking breakfast break. TTFN!
12 left. Time for a break.
hello
hi all.
hi mkg
I hate this grid
not too thrilled with it either. just started and not a good one. too many vowels

any clues for the A word column 2? ty.
not from me
I gtg will be back .
mlfan no i have no words second column.
Hi all. Good afternoon (here it is at least). I have slow cookers, pressure cookers and an Instant Pot. I love them all and use them for different things. My only complaint about the instant pot is that it is somewhat small for my needs. Nothing beats it in making a meal in a hurry. I recently bought a sous vide as well. I am loving it!!!

Small appliances for the kitchen. If this keeps up, we are all going to need a second home, just to store all the small kitchen appliances. : D
yeah, they're kind of out of control in my kitchen. bread machine, 2 toaster ovens, instant pot, coffee maker, stand mixer, soda stream, george foreman grill, cuisinart griddler
I have a crock pot but I think it's on the camper
I have a crockpot too. Couldn't do without it.
I'm a long time crackpot
I just use my instant pot for slow cooking at home.
I received a horrible burn from my instant pot and am now very reluctant to use it. A shame, because it is a great appliance.
microwave. My unit was renovated last year, all new major appliances. Turned out the new stove (electric, ugh!) is unusable -- At 4'10", I can't reach the controls by the wall or if I do, I will set my arm on fire. Negotiating with management for a tough toaster oven and a hotplate.
does anyone have a clue for the fi7?
well, it's not fiction, but I keep seeing that
yes, relating to wrinting that is not true

Hope you are having a good Hump Day, Molly.

molly, i have visited england a couple of times. but it's mostly just that i've always preferred british authors, and i'm a big re-reader. so i've read so many times, pg wodehouse, agatha christie, dorothy sayers, jane austen, dickens, trollope, george eliot, and i also subscribe to streaming services now from britain and former colonies - britbox and acorn, so now i get to watch more of those things - used to be i just saw things that were on PBS
i really want to visit ireland too though.
I'm glad you have gotten to see at least one of the countries that you love. It is nice that we don't have to only rely on PBS for some of the shows they used to have exclusively.
I really want to go to Scotland and Ireland some day.
Fw!!
well done!

I have ci x2 and fi7; can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
an7
Thank you Molly!
?
the other 7 I have is one of the ci7s
help with any of the others pls
hi all
There are 4 sevens. Samantha Joy mentioned ci 7 x 2 and fi 7. I mentioned an 7
I saw the posts just cant find the words
got the other ci7
well, an7 is like a baby one of the verb an5
fi7 is an adjective meaning made up, as a story
something that is not fact
Or to get rid of a marriage, in baby form
and if anyone else out there wants to know, the ci7s are anagrams, only require one small rearrangement
ty Molly for an7
Hi ((( Peri))). Happy to read you are on the mend. And Hurshy - if you ever make it to this corner of the world, you & me will bond. For sure.
Soodle!
Achieved fireworks earlier, so free clues available on request.
Oh my goodness. Ruby. How are you doing? Did you get onto that clothing website?
Yes, I actually did
HOORAY!!!! Happy it worked out for you, ma amie.
I was able to kit myself out for a cold winter
It's been crazy here, people in and out all day -- nurses, doctors, housekeepers, etc
and now it's sleepy time for me
Ruby - I’m going over to the UK to take care of this grandson of mine tomorrow. Son of Soodle has arranged for him, me & the kid to take the Channel Tunnel to France on Saturday.
Good night
We will be briefly in the same country 😑
Apologies for hijacking the chatlog. I’ll withdraw now.
