good morning babblers
and good morning to you too my darling sprite.xoxox
*hugs rose& Hello my dearest friend, thanks for your email :) I miss you too. Things have been slightly too busy of late, lol.
i guessed that....i imagine a lot of low level flying going on. or are you on roller skates??
I wish :D Yeah, new OA sponsor with lots of homework, which is a good thing. Back to full strength on the telephone job, and ofc once a week the other volunteer job. Last weekend was OA retreat in Germany. Rob and I had our wedding anniversary on the 13th, which was a friday so extra special. And lots of stuff for the tiny house.
Just had a memory post come up on FB with naked firemen in it from our dear departed Jillibus.x
wow!! so much happening. are you coping okay? or should i say is the ol' body coping okay?
hiya Jac :) *hug* *sends Jilli a hug over the boundaries of death*
Hiya Sprite.x
hello jac. unfortunately i wasn't in FB back then.
yeah that is the right distinction lol. I am managing, and even enjoying most of it. The ole body is less happy. The long trips to and from germany were a bit muchish and made my resistance go way down... so now my whole mouth is covered in cold sores. Ugh.
Hi grannyrose - it was just a reminder of Jilli's humour.x
of which she had spades, Jac :) Very fond memories of the days when we had icon themes.
30 words left here, so I will dive in and try to find them.
*which she had in spades
have fun :D
awww poor sprite. cold sores are the pits. i know there are many wonderful treatments out there,i hope you have at least one of them. perhaps build up your immune system with one of several herbs etc treatments.
goo jac.
loved jilli's humour. she was so dry....
my immune system is trying to tell me to slow down a little, I guess. I am not impressed with any of the cold sore treatments on the market here. Best of the lot are the patches you stick on and which should stay on until it heals... ofc they never do because you do have to eat and drink...
tea-tree oil??
but hey, it is just cold sores, not a biggie. Hm, don't think I ever tried teatree for cold sores.
brilliant antiseptic. knocks cold sores for six.
awesome, will give it a try
almost hospital day for you, rose... counting down, I bet.
just dilute it will a little other oil, i.e. olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil
will do. Should help with the smell as well, lol... very unpleasant smell, tea tree oil.
Well, that didn't take long. FIREWORKS! *~*~*~*
wtg Jac!!!!!!!!!!!!
abso-bloody-lutely. june has very kindly offered to shift her day out so that i don't have two days of activities on top of each other. allows me to rest up in between.
WTG JACULA!!
very good, honey. Great decision.
Wish I still had my sense of smell. Most of it went ater I got some cold type virus 2 years ago, on top of already having chronic allergic rhinitis due to cat saliva and house dust.
thanks Sprite.
oh Jac :( That is nasty. So sorry... must ruin your enjoyment of most food and drinks.
the other thing you could try is betadine paint/liquid. i know it is mostly for bacterial infections but cold sores have a propensity to develop low-grade secondary infections which delays their healing.
Yes, it does and it suppresses my appetite. But I love my three cats and the fact that living in a dusty area plus having them isn't going to make me part with them.
very true. Thanks rose :)
ugh jac. how awful. that would take a lot of enjoyment out food and drinks, and also warning smells?? can you smell smoke for instance?
Sorry to hear about your cold sores, Sprite.
I totally understand, Jac. I wouldn't part with Terra for all the health in the world.
thanks Jac. No biggie, just stupid sores, grin
I can now smell most nasty smells, or elements of, and burning smells. I guess that is the body protecting itself. But nice smells like flowers, perfume, cooking, earth after rain are still gone to me.:(
Terra is so gorgeous. i could have kissed him all over, dear little dog that he is.
he loved you too. I was so touched when he remembered you from last time. And I seem to remember his developing a deep and sudden infatuation with your arm...
safety first, I guess, Jac... but I hope the rest will come back to you as well
I have to be off now. Got damson jam to make + a beef stew. Happy babbling! xxx
have a great day, Jac *hugs*
lolll... yes he did...wasn't that hysterical? i think i laughed until i cried that day.
bye jac. xoxox.
we sure did. Most days, even. Darn we had a good time!
oh yeah.... we did too.
guess what?? don is already talking about another tripin 2 years or so.
*trip in *
for real? Oh wowwwww that is something. Honey, I hope and pray it will be possible for you two to do so.
that is quite something, isn't it, Don initiating it?
the major drawback was don's reaction to the A/C on the plane. we now know how to deal with that. so all the cards are back on the table.
as long as your health will be up to it, sweetie. I need you to stay alive for at least another 40 years, so be careful, okay?
we know how to travel with my health issues now. i will have an action plan for if my heart failure plays up again. and so long as i can time it between denervations on my knee and lower back, and the treatments for the FM, then all is good.we may have to tiptoe through the minefield of me carrying cannabis drops with me. we can face that when it happens.
at least that is something we might be able to solve here relatively easily, lol.
don really wants to stay at Lake Como in Italy for a week. really get the feel of the area. it is so pretty too. and a week in barcelona wouldn't go astray either. i am sure i can persuade him to stay at least a week in the Netherlands. that leaves one week unaccounted for. either rural france or in another italian town.
not Rome, not Venice. maybe outside of Milan or Florence? we didn't see Florence last time.
wow, two great places to visit! So beautiful.
fireflies
WTG SPRITE !!!
sounds very good, rose. I am sure you will love it there. And yayyy for visiting us again too :D
gosh, i have to be so careful. i nearly typed your real name. that is how comfy i am feeling chatting with you. i forget where we are...
:) no worries, honey. If it happens, it happens.
is today going to be quiet for you?
relatively, yes. Telephone shift, and tonight rob and I are going out. But in between time to rest up.
which reminds me, I need to get the telephone charging or it won't be ready in time. *hugs* honey. Lovely to have seen you!
nice that you two are going out.where to?
sleep well, hugs for Don and extra hugs for you alone.
Gerard van de Maasakker, a belgian singer/songwriter. Rob adores him.
xoxox and hugs for Rob. wow! sounds wonderful. will google him....loll
found some you tube clips going to watch them. xoxox

Babble Lite - Nothing You Can Sink Your Teeth Into
lol, good way to put it
It's like the 20 Minute Workout. You get some exercise, but don't really feel like you've had to work for it.
Just the right size for all I have going on today.
won't take you long, Bea. Enjoy! Poof
*Waves to Busy Bea
*Waves back
Babble has been so hit and run lately. People are going to salivate when a big grid finally lands.
Before I could even say hi, I say bye. See you all tomorrow with fingers crossed for a larger grid.
if nu4/6 is a synonym for ne 4/5, and ne 4/5 can become an adjective, why can't nu4/6?
I wondered the same thing, owl.
Enable. frustrating babblers for over 15 years.
Until next time, folks!
I don't think nu is a synonym for ne
The definition here says it is
hunh, I thought it meant something else. Like 'a glob of'
I guess I was thinking of what it is when you pule LE at the end: a very small pellet of plastic which serves as raw material in the manufacture of plastic products.
again?
nu4/6 is a synonym for ne4/5. I thought it was the same thing as nu**le, which does mean a pellet or glob.
Good morning, Babblers! Hey, Molls - the cast is off and I can limp with scissors now!
Yay for Judi!!
Don't worry Judi, you will be running with scissors sooner than you think.

i'm going to my 30th HS re7 this weekend.
i haven't been to any of mine for HS or uni
i helped organize our 25th.
aw, no needle case today.
you graduated in '89? my husband is that year. I was '91. I helped organize the only 2 re7's we've had. I think 10 and 20, but maybe 10 and 15. I probably won't go to any more.
i did, carla
we've gathered every 5 years since graduation.
set up our first online email list in 1996.
we bonded hard our freshman year.
I know, it's so much easier now with everyone on FB than it was for our 10th back in '01. I set ours up then and put people still in town on the job of locating people. small town living in the mountains - most everyone still lives there.
fireworks
well done
yay cherylq
well, i need to go pack. TTYL Happy babbling!
have fun!
We still do grammar school reunions - so many things to bind us - Kennedy shot, March on Washington, hippies, Kennedy shot, MLK shot, man lands on the moon, and of course, the Vietnam War & the moon mission that almost didn't make it back . . . 150 kids in the class, over 3/4 show up.

ah, RAIN!
ah, I see, a homonym
stopped already! we need rain!
I thought that stuff ta7 was in energy drinks. Had no idea it was in cat food. We haven't had rain in a long time either.
just paid to get the lawn reseeded. have been watering a minimum. water bill will be frightening.
It takes a lot of water to water a lawn. That is why it is one of the things that is banned when water restrictions go in place. Good luck with your bill.
as long as the lawn takes. preparing for possible move next year.
if i were staying i would eliminate most of the lawn.
no rain for over a week and the next 10 days look dry.
hi all. help with ar5 pls
