oh, it needs to stay a little nice for a bit longer, just a few more outdoor things we need to do to the house. Small but important.
We're still waiting to get our roof replaced!

I actually don't remember! If not, I'll put some up and tag you
around here it's been flooding - the whole nearest town of any size has lots of flooded basements, which I guess is unusual according to the owners.
Thankfully it didn't break into the house! We've already have over 1/2" of rain, and at this time of year in Calif, that is rare!
for a change we got lucky and haven't had to run the pump.
Bummer! We don't have basements here.
Clues are up
I really only have a rather tall crawl space, and it frequently takes on water when it rains a lot. It did this last spring. But not this weekend.
I suspect it may have to do with some excavation uphill from us, town had to dig up the sewer line for another residence, and the large trench kept a lot of it from racing down here like it usually does.
maybe we need a moat, haha
That's fortunate. Seems each area of the country has specific issues. I've only lived thru two small hurricanes in So Calif, but the nightmares of the folks who really got hit...oh my!
Our major flooding besides rain is our neighbor who is a bit uphill - if she springs a leak, we get a flood!
A leaking in her watering systems, that is, lol!
We're all on 1+ acre lots.
We usually get water coming down two different slopes, down the driveway (a block or so long) and converging around (and under) the house. Not this time, yay!
and we're the lowest spot around, so it's hard to get it away from us. But hey, enough about our weather, haha
Yay! Our other neighbor had her garage flooded the first year she was here...the sellers didn't disclose the flooding problem. Living in the hills is nice, but when you're downhill from everyone, it's not much fun. We do have twice the lawn we planned, however!
oh,that's a good thing. (the lawn). I thought sellers were required by law to disclose such things? Sneaky devils.

lol, kam. even the cardiac units over here see the benefits of red wine , in moderation of course, for their cardiac patients.
Oh, you're in the heaven I dream about! I'm glad it's that time again for you. You get so much relief. All I get is assholes telling me I can't have my pain meds for any reason they can dream up. Takes about two days to call them out - even after doctor says to give me the med. Then they refuse because they can't call him on weekends, damn it!

I don't mean I envy your health problems - I'm just jealous you get good treatment for them! I've been in bed for so long...hubby drove me to last appointment because I couldn't drive - I felt too awful and not due to meds either, just to clear things up for everyone else. I'm NOT well!
Pain treatment in the US has become a nightmare. Even my doc said the pharmacies are pulling new rules out of their asses - direct quote.
of course you're not well kam. even a blind man and his seeing-eye dog can see that.
Hubby just said American's aren't welcome in Australia, after I said I want to move there!
well we are pretty particular... i would have thought you two would fit the bill nicely. if not, practice being really cold and surviving on little oxygen. i'll smuggle the pair of you out in my suitcase.
I'm sorry, I'm just in pain, and I'm tired of it. I'm exhausted! I can't get my own self anywhere I need to be for treatment, and hubby has Parkinson's. His driving scares the oomph out of me. My blood pressure is higher after I ride with him than when I drive! I simply have to go get a passport!

poor darling. i know it's trite. but i do really wish i could have you both here.i just don't understand. people are in pain. human beings are in pain. give them whatever it takes. to give them some sort of life back.
Our gov't took what little lives we had away with their new "guidelines." They've tried to back off, but too little, too late.
I'm sorry to everyone who sees this - but having your pain meds taken away when you're in pain 24/7 is not right! We are the .2% - it's the people who abuse meds that cost legit patients proper care.
OK, enough bitching! I hope you feel wonderful when you get done with your treatment!
