Yes, windy here. Much like KS wind today.
So, we camped at a drive-in movie campground in Guymon, OK, and it was fine when we got there, but the next morning the wind was insane. It was right next to a windmill farm too, so I guess we should've seen that coming.
We used to say that KS was so windy because OK sucks and NE blows! =)

same thing happened to us in NE. I think it was Waco, NE. We got there, set up, enjoyed a beautiful day, and then the next morning woke up to crazy wind.
the worst wind we had on the trip, though, was at Great Sand Dunes in CO. We were there for prob 5 days and it never calmed. I guess that's how the dunes formed. :D We actually broke part of our motorhome putting the slide out because of the wind.

Yes, still teaching -- challenging day for third graders (Halloween), but I have a strict policy of keeping them learning (but making it fun when I know they cannot keep our normal routines).

Both sons are no longer living at home, though we do have an ex-girlfriend of one of them. :-) And a lizard from a different ex-girlfriend... and things in the storage locker from several young adults who have passed through our home.

No, I didn't do anything with a pumpkin theme, but I did actually read a holiday-adjacent story called "Creepy Carrots" that allowed them to talk about scary things and the dark and such. ;-) I don't do holidays in my classroom as a rule, but I am not a complete monster...
When I drove home today I loved seeing all the little ones on main street (I teach in a VERY small town) with their families going from store to store for treats. The whole town decorates for every holiday, and the kids just love it.
