no need to be shy when playing NTPN :D
well,,,, didn't want to spoil it for someone else
games are not won with such attitudes
not a problem
but in life, it is a good way to be :D
I play this word game for myself,,,, not a competition
well, that is how babble works
we all help each other
but in NTPN, if nobody said the answer, then, it wouldn't even be a game, lol
sure,,,,
you said it,,, don't be shy,,,, I'm not so much shy as I am an introvert
i think most of us are introverts, hence the spending our time online :D
What is NTPN?
i'm an introvert too
NTPN = Name That Proper Noun!
I'm a social introvert
hahaha ru

a baby babble with a k... ouch ;) Morning all
cooee my darling. XOXOXOXOXOX
*hugs rose* Hallo my bestie, how are you doing today?
okay. stayed home when himself went out today. it was the Toyrun today when motorcyclists all over everywhere donate toys to the Salvation Army for distribution to poorer families.
i didn't feel safe enough to be in the car with him for such a long drive.
ah that is a nice thing to do.
no, a wise decision.
i sent a large bag of feminine sanitary products. i found out that the homeless have resorted to using old socks at that time. it made my heart break.
can you imagine? Good thinking, honey.
ks killed
so how are you coping? are you able to rest a little more honey?
things are still too crazy. And Rob and I had another fight about the house design and now he is moping. So that does not help much either. But all in all I am good. Peace in my heart, which is a very good base for everything else ;)
awww my heart goes out to both of you. deciding what your future home is to be like is hard work.
write to me and tell all.
Rob does not realise or see how much HE decides everything, and how he throws aside my wishes at every turn. It is not that he does not care, it is that he does not realise he is doing it. So that is a hard bargain. Noud told me to be very clear to Rob that this behaviour is damaging me. So I did, and now he is moping because I should know that he does not want to damage me. I told him, of COURSE I know that. Doesn't mean you don't, so we have to talk it out and solve it.
will do, soon, I am a bit stretched for time atm. I wrote back to you yesterday though, about what you told me.
thanx honey i have read it. and will reread it and allow it to filter through.
let me know if you want me to be frank about the afterthought as well
oh yes.please do so.
okay, right away
okay, done!
thanx sweetie.
figures... new word to me is a coin that does not even exist anymore, lol
or rather the plural of it
watcha doing? you've gone quiet. are you okay?
yeah am fine, I thought you were reading :D
fireflies
have done so a couple of times. now thinking... yeah i know. an unaccustomed thing to do...loll
*giggles*
I simply HATE the distance right now. I want to be there with you.
i can feel you here sweetie. it's okay.
:) and you guys are in my prayers too, so the Big Guy has His marching orders from me as well ;)
thanx honey
must be off, alas, meeting to attend soon. Love you, honey. *hugs*
hope your day is kind to you. go find that stubborn dutchman and give him a big hug and kiss from me. and here's one for you...

There should be a Babble Gift Set that contains copies of all of the foreign currency we have had to learn to play this game. : D
Of course most of it is ancient and would be hard to find.
was almost up at the flip last night. glad I went to bed instead.

i always thought it was spelled with two "o"s.
You have found the tr7/36, there are two ways to spell how that word sounds.
got it haz.
Spelled with the U is is someone in a dance or acting croup.
group
I can not type today.
Haha. I frequently diagnose young kids with croup.
But do you still call it croup? Or does it have a fancier modern name?
Medical name = acute viral laryngo-tracheo-bronchitis. Sore throat, hoarse voice, noisy inspiration, and barky cough.
Croup for short.
Older kids and adults have wider airways so we don't get the noisy breathing and barky cough.
Do you see much quinsy any more? It used to feature in old fashioned books.
We call it peritonsillitis and I see a few kids every year with this.
hello Scrabs. I have a question for you if you don't mind. If I remember correctly you have said you see colors when you listen to music. I have friend who says she sees colors when she is in pain. Have you ever heard of that before?
I presume a course of antibiotics sorts them out.
LWG, how cool. Synesthesia = the connection between 2 senses. I see shapes when I listen to music. I just emailed a synesthesia expert a few days ago.
Haz, if there is an abscess then an ENT MD pokes a needle in there and sucks out 5-15 ml of pus.
Oh that's what it's called. Thanks for the information. I will pass it on to my friend. She's also in the medical field.
And Haz and I have ticker tape synesthesia.
tr 7, pls
morning
http://www.daysyn.com/
what is ticker tape synsthesia?
There are two tr7's bichon
It's when you 'see' words spelt out when you or other people are speaking. It's like having a transcript running in your head all the time.
I see words scroll in front of me, in my mind, as I hear them, even me talking to myself. I cannot NOT do this. So if I hear more than one person my brain is unhappy.
is the tr7/36 a variant of the 7/32?
Ditto, my inner transcriber gets mixed up. Crowds are awful.
One is tr7/36 and sounds like a highway patrolman
That would be very distracting. I have a difficult enough time tuning out background noise and multiple conversations without having the visuals to contend with as well
That is a good description, Haz, an inner transcriber.
The tr7/32 is way up high
Thanks for the link. I'll read it and pass it on to my friend too
When I watch TV or movies I must use the closed caption for optimal viewing.
That's how I discovered it was unusual. I talked about my inner transcriber to my sister and she looked at me as if I had gone mad.
ty Bea
yw
Yes, I mentioned my scrolling ticker tape to a friend and she was puzzled.
i'll list for clues. happy babbling
I know what you mean Haz, I have little quirks I've lived with my whole live and I thought were "normal" until realizing other people don't have them
I also see timelines and calendars in my mind, so I have a storage of dates.
I just assumed it was entirely normal. It seems not.
I have OCD. So ddid my mom
Scrabs, I see calendars in my mind
how does your OCD manifest if you don't me asking, bich?
Cool.
I have to say the same word over and over. For example. Since I've been taking it's much better
*Prozac
glad to hear it's improved. I'm dealing with some issues myself and told I could be OCD
I am off now to carry on with Christmas decorations. Enjoy the grid!
40 left for me so I am done.
does seeing calendars in your mind leave you in a days
would someone please clue the pr6/24?
from earlier - pr+a vowel + a small child

Scatology!!
I've never understood the adult usage of potty. Except for my mother-in-law who taught pre-school for years.
"We have you now, for well we ****, Your mortal career's cut short!"
The pirates sang that to the incompetent constabulary in The Pirates of Penzance.
I thought it was "we triumph now"
tr 6/24, pls
Molly it's We triumph now , for well we tr4
monkey was that a clue for me?
No bichon, I don't have that tr6. Those lyrics are a clue for tr4,8.

where are all these 4 letter words we've never had before coming from? - has some exceedingly bad speller been adding words to enable?
The creators of the Enable word list are the most freakish word nerds ever.
yes -- they even have words that have no defininition :D
*!*~*!* have a good evening, Molly -- we are off to a wassail party.
* with my deteriorating voice I will probably to more wassailing than singing!
Clue for pe6 please
NM found it
FINALLY found pr6. Kind of embarrassed as I'm fluent in Hebrew. It's a word that's still used in conversation meaning "small change"
It's my last word and I still don't get it! pr6?
Oh my. I get it.
*Not fluent in Hebrew* Not embarrassed that I needed a clue for that word*

four hours east of me. I'll be in Yellowstone next week but not Old Faithful. This time of year you need to arrange a snow coach to get there
be nice and cold there next week I imagine
although not much different from where you're at
I'm afraid to check....
couple years back I considered going up there around this time of year...but the temperatures were not favorable
We're pretty calm here in Hamilton but had a blizzard 20 miles north today on our way to Missoula
hi all!
I like missoula
is the tr 7 related to the 6?
yeah
well one of the tr 6s
the other tr 6 is not related other that they're all from other languages
speaking of cookie baking, am just recovering from baking about 50 dozen cookies in past 2 days... still more to go, but lion's share done!
holy macaroons
I haven't baked 50 cookies in my life, let alone 50 dozen
to make it more fun, I have a 100-year-old oven that can only handle 2 trays at a time, and the cookies I make can only be baked 12-to-a-tray. And it cooks unevenly, so I have to spin every tray 2/3 of the way through. It's a comical production!
why make it easy, that would ruin the fun
Exactly!
someone catch me i'm gonna faint. DH has decided to make the Christmas pud today and not when he usually does it. .... Christmas Eve...loll
cooee moolingwa. how're you going mate?
Fw!!
hi all.
any clues for the tr 7? stuck with that one.
nm got it
what's in your pudding,granny?
2 x tr7 mkg. do you have both?
jane, heaps of dried fruit including candied peel for a touch of zing. brandy, brown sugar and natural butter. mixed spice plus nutmeg and cinnamin. it's a very old recipe and i think it's time for DH to scan it and put it into the computer for safe keeping. the book is nearly falling apart.
oh, and threepences. we have a bag of the pure silver ones still. of course they must be returned each year as we may begin to run out of them.
i remember years ago at my grandparents home for Christmas dinner. Grandpa made a big pretense of choking and appeared to pull a 10 shilling note out of his mouth. us kids were bug-eyed.
hysterical!
