Hello all - has Sprite stopped playing ? Havent seen her for ages
sprite very busy. doing two volunteer jobs. one is on night shifts.
oh ok - good she is well
keep praying and/or sending good vibes. she is shaky after all the fireworks on new years eve. takes her a while to settle again.
The fireworks here are outrageous - we keep getting told big bangs are banned and yet these bombs are freely available and freely used even in residential areas - people and animals are so traumatised - really infuriating :(
good morning
gien
oops
need a clue for te7?
Starts with a cuppa and I think what everyone calls a gerund end
the drink + gerund, Ishult
Can anybody clue the lone I in the top row? Please
ig 6/39 ... to be of, or show, importance, without the first letter.
Or I could d(ig6) that with a response.
What a funny little puzzle today's has been.
once again 'no definition' for the un6!! Who makes these words up?
I think it means like unknown
like a really outdated form of it
it’s scottish
all scottissh words that havent been used in Scotland for the last 100 years should be removed!!
I don’t know if it’s used or not, but the base verb is still used AFAIK, and that’s just a past tense
ah ok that makes sense!
morning all!
Good morning, dan.
could I have stats for the left column N?
ne 4/5
oh duh. my diagonal monkeys not awake yet I guess
... it's a sleepy kind of day
yeas

just tried a stupid word for my last p at the top and it worked
ea 6/24, pls
gerund bichon
ends with the gerund, bichon
I'm just ea6 into this puzzle this morning while drinking my coffee
ty montreal
np bichon ☺
Your last p must have been the 6
yep, stupid word, am I right?
last column completed!
Yes...Unless you wash Mr. Bea's clothes.
:D
bbl for last 18 - enjoy bichon, carla and Bea - poof
why do I keep trying d's when I have the d's
1st column done!
ea6, please?
3 clues at 8:18
gerund ending
Just clued at 8:18 Marc
got it thanks
yvw
ooh, my stats are now a nice pattern - a plus in the middle.
Bea, how are you feeling today?
I'm good, Molly. Back to 100%. Thanks for asking.
well, I am stuck with 19 left. going to the list.
FW...gi4/10 was my last. don't think I've ever heard it before.
me either
maybe with an o on the end
Oh what a surprise (not) It's a Scot word
Oh wait, that's the 4/6
The 4/10 means a foolosh person.
I just have sa6 left. the 18 I got from the list were mostly not common words but easy to figure out with the list.
That sa6 was interesting.
well, I've tried sanify several times and it's not that :D
It is a formal Muslim address
I have seen that sa as a 5 but never a 6
lol, of course
Yes, I've seen it as the 5 as well.
got it. heard that as a muslim name but never seen the extra letter either.
Last one sa6, please?
I'm going to get busy today. Two sewing projects on deadline...
sa6 is the one we were just taling about, Marc.
Talking
I'm getting busy too. TTFN!
Thanks the double letter got me stuck
free clue for 2nd su 6/33 sounds like the answer to: What did the iceberg do to the Titanic?
thx luv
ty luv
*puts on celine album*
yw :-)
ig 6/39 please?
phantom: pfft
if you added a d on the front it would be a common word to d7 that statement
thanks ruru, thinking...
You could also add an s to make si7
thanks, I got it from the 2 clues
ty for the ig
fw
*Ears bleed and head throbs while Celine blares
could have been worse.. it could have been abba
Or *shudder* Celine singing ABBA
with bagpipes
lOL
*mops up coffee all over desk
A crusty, old Dead-head friend of mine just discovered ABBA. I bought him the movie Mama Mia for Christmas and he loves it.
I forebade him from playing it around me :D
good!
if you ever give me an abba movie i will cease to be friends with you :D
there is even an ABBA museum in wherever they're from
Ha! I wouldn't dream of it.
I can't stop laughing at the idea of an ABBA museum
if you did you'd also have to buy me a rope and a stool
:D
ori to the chat: remember when i bought ru an abba movie..i didn't know it would really have pushed him over the edge
... I see him now when he is allowed visitors
good morning everyone
good morning, nan
hi nan!
he's got PTSD with bad elevator music and only takes the stairs
I hear Ru has a nice roommate at the home. Guy with a pretend wife and son.
ABBA PTSD is a new diagnosis.
!!!!!!
It is! It's in the DSM-5
knowing my luck molly the byzantine would be my roommate
I really should have read further back in the chat for context. I was trying to figure out what ABBA stood for medically and in relation to the DSM and PTSD. Ha. Now I understand. (facepalm)
not seeing that ig 6 -- not seeing a dig 7
there is no dig7 - it was just a hint for the ig6 to say one could not dig---- answering a stupid question perhaps
still not seeing it
Got it. Thanks ursh.
I did realize there was no di 7 nor an si 7, but I stll need different clue for the ig 6 please
The ig6 is I will not di7 that with a response, minus the first letter
nan - "I will not d+ig6 that with an answer."
ok nan what if we put an S in front of it - a whistle blow would s****** the end of the match+
ty molly
no def, of course, think it means to make something look like a rock?
nan, to form into fire
sounds questionable -- probably made up my the same person that coined utilize
* by the same person
Hi all. Can anyone tell me the stats for the 7s, please?
have a pu 7 that is a plural
monkeyed it - lol
Thanks Nan - I see what you did there!
I think the ig word is Latin. The prefix is the Latin word for fire. We are more familiar with the nite ending with that prefix.
whenever i see a word like that it reminds me of Norm Crosby
sa 6 please?
no suey on the menu
not seeing anything - giving up on this one
Oh too bad, I would have loved Nan's reaction to the sa6
Will you clue it for me, Molly, please?
like the name of the murderer(?) on the podcast Serial
I don't know that podcast....
Ahhh, thanks Magpie!
May I have a non-podcast clue, please :)
speak + 1st 3 of hebrew language
hi Matty , to verbalise + shortening of the Jewish language
Thank you! Got there in the end. Odd word.
makes me think of the character from the show Lost
it's a title for members of middle eastern aristocracy
I thought of LOST too, Eva
Other 7 is te7
te7: poking fun at
finding te7 also gave me ea6
only 26 words to go... but i have NBT, NBS, halfway through the grid, halfway through each tile, and halfway through each stat. that may be the extent of my accomplishments for today.
Hebrew IS the Jewish language. Ha. Well, the original. ;) But I know what you mean, and thank you for the clues. :)
19 left. Taking a break. Later skaters.
hello all! Anyone have stats for the I in the far right column?
if 4/12
it's a questionable word

I wouldn't di***** that question with an answer. remove the d
odd word....ty....
it is an obsolete word meaning to form into fire. You'd think they'd ditch the obsolete words and put in some words that are now common usage lol
yes, but that would assume that the Enable dictionary would ever be updated...
that's true
well, time for the comfy chair, the knitting and the audio book. TTFN
sounds good...bye...
i am also taking a break....bbl to find my last 19....
