I wonder what the end game is. Are we wearing masks from now on? Does the mask wearing stop when there is a vaccine? When the number go down significantly?
I have noticed that while the mask wearing continues, many people have stopped wearing latex gloves.
Pretty sure once there is a vaccine we can stop wearing masks.
I'm not wearing gloves anymore. But I do carry clorox wipes in my hand while I'm grocery shopping.
Medical people have been wearing masks for years and do not get sick because of it. When we wear mask we probably wear them for an hour at the very most, they wear them for hours on end.
I think the mask wearing end would depend on where you live and the number of cases in that area.
Now mask are becoming another fashion statement :)

I do have a chuckle at persons driving their car wearing gloves & a mask,and now the celebs with their designer masks from the italian designers for seroius amount of wedge.
In my case, if I drove, I would have to put my mask on in my apartment, on the way to the car would touch some surfaces and would not want to touch my mask if I did not have access to any sanitizer.
But everyone says gloves are a no no.
And i though you guys in Canada were facing up to it, in Vancouver the bars are open i don`t see anyone drinking beer through a mask...Yet.!!

gloves are easily over-used. Unless you have lots of disposable ones, and you actually dispose of them between tasks, you're not actually doing much protecting
Anyway, I am not going to any bars or restaurants in the next couple of weeks or months.

I have a reusable mask. I also have two currently in the mail.
But lately I get my groceries delivered, I get food delivered, I get prescriptions delivered. I really don't even have to go out.
I do miss going to the gym and talking to the guys there and having coffee after with other friends. It is attached to a senior's home so I doubt it will be open any time soon.
People are not using masks or gloves correctly. You are not supposed to re-use latex gloves, but people are. You are not supposed to reuse disposable masks, but people are. This lessens the effectiveness of germ transmission.
They just don't pay attention to what the medical people are saying. What gets me is people who don't cover their nose with their mask. I saw a picture of a woman who cut a hole in the mask so she could breathe...
Anyway, much more pleasant here today. Humidity was up to 92% last night. The heatwave is done for now. Now it will be 3C overnight :)
The strangest thing I have seen is people in the grocery store, with little kids. The adults are wearing masks. The kids are not.
I can imagine it would be hard to ensure they don't touch them and pull them off. Best to not take the kids shopping :)
They do say kids under 3 don't need to wear them.

I have never gotten over my fear of pressure cooking, so canning has never been an option for me. I have done a lot of freezing of fresh fruits and vegetables though.

my husband has used the pressure cooker but not much. It makes me nervous
I grew up with my mom using her pressure cooker all the time, so even though she didn't really teach me to cook, I guess it made me comfortable around them.
doesn't bother me at all. I have an electric one (the instant pot) but she's always used a stove top one.
It is why I never bought into Instapot. The whole pressure cooking thing.
I think pressure cookers have been supplanted by sous-vides

if you want to hear about a kitchen explosion not involving pressure cookers...one time at Easter dinner at my aunt's she had a stove eye (you may call it burner) on and didn't know and put a 9"x13" pyrex on it when setting up the buffet. after a while it exploded and tiny cubes of glass few everywhere. no one was hurt though.

my girl has an acrylic shield in place and she bought something to suck in the dust when filing.
our estheticians have always worn masks and gloves while doing nails, but now they are only allowed to have every 2nd chair open in order to preserve social distancing. Clients must also wear masks.

well, I haven't seen the movie, have only seen a few of the SCTV skits but I feel like they were in tv commercials (beer maybe?) too. the ads are probably what I am most familiar with as I watched a lot of TV as a kid.
The movie was god awful. Might have a cult following in Canada, might not.
