We are going to do barbecued chicken and roasted potatoes and vegetables tonight.
I made egg bites in the IP yesterday. Intended to have them for breakfast toay and put some in the freezer.
They fell apart when I took the out of the mold. They were too watery.
We will have scramble egss this morning. =)
I do those with crust in the regular old oven. They are good.
I'm doing waffles with apple pecan topping for breakfast. Lots of good smells in here.

I go through times when I'm sick of eggs. We eat them a lot because they are an inexpensive form of protein.
We got a carton of liquid eggs in a food box. I thought the egg bites would be a nice way to use them up. I will make them again and cook them a bit longer.
What else comes in the food boxes?
It depends on what the food banks have a large quantity of.
This one had a couple large onions, some apples, a butternut squash, a "personal" watermelon, a gallon of milk, a large container of yougurt and a package of precooked dark meat chicken.
It was a lot of food.
There was three pounds of cheese too.
Wow, that is a lot of food.
I imagine that if you get creative with recipes, it can go a long way.
It was. What I knew we would eat, I gave to a neighbor that feeds five kids.

Another neighbor was the one that got the box for us. I knew nothing about the give away.
I can't even imagine the money it takes to feed five. Although I did it at one time. But groceries were less expensive then.
