Well, a lazy morning, anyway. =)

Urinal and the fruit that smells like raw sewage

6:41 am

Did you have a fun Halloween, Molly?

6:45 am

That is true, and a nice, positive spin. I still feel bad for kids that so many things they like and enjoy have been taken away from them.

6:52 am

Not to mention all the families who are suffering due to job loss.

6:56 am

and around here a lot of people lost everything to floods from dams breaching in the spring. all kinds of plans had to change for a lot of things.

7:47 am

I think we will have sausage biscuits.

Wheeeee I finished the Bs

We are not having french toast

or sausage biscuits

I think mr. homie has already had a cupcake.

Yum that sounds good

What kind of cupdake

7:49 am

I had a chocolate chip cookie.

yes, I was thinking about doing it myself. just white cupcakes (doctored GF white cake mix) with almond buttercream.

7:49 am

pumpernickle toast/hummus here.. good morning, Happy Nov. to all

YUM hokie

7:50 am

Hi, aloy

7:51 am

hi aloy

I messed up the buttercream though. couldn't soften the butter at room temp and put in microwave for 30 sec because our microwave stinks, but that was too long so it was somewhat melty. anyhoo, still tastes good.

7:51 am

we have store bought chocolate chip cookies

hi aloy, et al

Melty runny frosting is good, I think. I'd rather have that than stiff frosting.

7:52 am

third column bottom t stats pls?

7:52 am

next time, rest the bowl in another filled with ice water and the butter will firm up again (she said, after doing that exact thing while making raspberry tarts last week)

YUM raspberry tarts

ah, thx!

7:52 am

To soften butter in the microwave, put a cold stick in and then 5 seconds, turn it, five more seconds, turn it, five more seconds. Check for softness then make five more on the last side. It works great.

7:52 am

mlf, college fee

7:52 am

The oatmeal is ready for everyone.

7:53 am

thanks bzz

another good tip, thx

Scrabs, I just tried steel cut oats for the first time yesterday, it's a game changer.

7:53 am

I do mine on defrost in the microwave

7:53 am

hi Scrabbler.. I'll pass. I like oatmeal cookies, but not oatmeal in the morning.

7:53 am

I'm holding out for the sausage biscuits, and hoping there is sausage gravy with them.

7:53 am

Oh, yes, nutty and chewy.

7:53 am

fond

7:54 am

Yes, I am fond of steel-cut oats.

I bought the Red Mill brand. So much better than Quaker Oats which reminds me of cardboard.

I was just like what is she fond of?

7:54 am

Bob's oats are good too.

7:54 am

All you people who are fo4 of things can hit the PB

I have to sweeten oatmeal before I can eat it

I think that's what I bought, Bea. Is it Bob's Red Mill? It was only $2 at the Big Lots store.

7:55 am

I add a bit of jam.

7:55 am

Yes, Bob's Red Mill.

7:55 am

Me too Carla. I use brown sugar and maple syrup.

I put about 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup. Also put Hemp milk. Well it was incredible.

and of course I have to buy gluten free oats, so a little limited in brand selection. yes, oats are naturally gluten free but they get cross-contaminated in the fields.

7:56 am

Ooo, hemp milk. Nothing like getting stoned for breakfast. : D

I wish!

There are no effects.

cannot do maple syrup because the smell makes me want to barf, but I do add brown sugar

7:57 am

I was waiting for the maple syrup makes me gag comment.

I knew I had mentioned it before

7:58 am

PSA - There is a tm word today.

ok, but what's the length?

what is a "tm" word

7:58 am

Has anyone announced the fly yet? That always seems to get announced.

7:58 am

A word that starts with tm, if you can dig that.

Yes someone did earlier, but I didn't notice who.

7:59 am

ooh, found a 9

this grid could use the letter n

8:10 am

oh, the ti6 is a word meaning a small amount

8:12 am

it's the british spelling, not the us spelling

8:12 am

I always say it is a ti6 nipply out when it is cold...

8:13 am

Off to fix breakfast...

8:16 am

8:43 am

good morning all. help with de9 or mo9 please

de9 is poor

don't have mo9

8:44 am

since I am not going to the gym I am using you tube videos and I may walk outside today

8:44 am

tyty carla

8:44 am

mo 9.....superlative ending with adj meaning not boastful.....

8:44 am

is your name Carl irl

8:45 am

dumb word...

I realize how much I don't need the gym when I take hilly walks through Tufts campus like I used to do over 20 years ago before I joined the gym.

8:46 am

I am not getting the correct spelling of the mo9. does it build off of the mo6/24?

Except when it's raining- but I can go when I like and listen to the music I like and not get bored. And work up a sweat.

8:46 am

It does, peri.

8:47 am

nm I was trying to put an extra vowel in there ty

8:47 am

Use the suffix for most at the end

8:47 am

i have 4 of the 8 that I found at the flip

8:47 am

good to get exercise, Kaplan....

8:48 am

8s even

8:48 am

I need to keep my bones strong

Hiya. Does anyone have stats they can lend me for the bottom, middle T - the lone T next to the F? please?

8:48 am

It is drizzly and dreary here.

8:49 am

tu7/32

8:49 am

That T is college fees.

Thank you!

wow, that mo9 is just stupid, who would say that in actual conversation?

8:50 am

it is stupid

It's actually awkward to say out loud

I know!

8:51 am

There were a lot of big words that I thought were stupid.

8:51 am

another time when my eighth grade English teacher (nun) is rolling over in her grave....

8:52 am

this current english teacher thinks it's stupid

8:52 am

80 bbl

8:52 am

because it is stupid....

it is wrong. It needs to be "most"

"she's the mo9 person I know" NOPE

In the only dance That Gene Kelly ever danced with Fred Astaire in That's Entertainment III you will ind the br7 word.

8:59 am

i love Fred Astaire.....actually have his autograph... :oD

8:59 am

That is very cool Pen

8:59 am

a friend gave it to me long ago....

9:00 am

what a good friend!

9:00 am

yes, unfortunately he passed away at a very young age....

9:01 am

Nice for him to give you one of his treasures.

9:01 am

yes....he had an amazing collection.....gave my brother a Jimmy Stewart autograph, too....

Cool/I have Clark Gable's. My dad used to collect opera singers and composers and conductors. Mostly in secret, an valuable collection. I did sell them all for 30K but wish I had saved Paul Robeson.

Dad was a collector. It was his only vice.

9:02 am

wow.....very cool!

An original phrase from Mendelsohn.

And of course a stamp collection which brought a pretty penny and would have been more if they had not sat in is second wife's garage for 15 years.

Widowers should watch their step, is all I'm saying.

9:05 am

that's too bad...

I have a lot of collections, but nothing I collected is worth anything. LOL

9:06 am

same here....

9:07 am

My mom has a collection of over 2000 postcards.

He uprooted himself and went to live in her home, and she never gave him any space...also made very clear to me when I was 30 that she was not to be considered a stepmother, not that I wanted one. It's a sad story. Dad should have stayed in NYC

My husband collects junk

9:07 am

wow.....i have a box of them somewhere that my grandmother gave me eons ago....

biggest one space-wise is Barbies and I'd love to get rid of them. sold a few at a yard sale last year. will probably start putting on ebay this winter.

9:08 am

have you sold much on ebay?

no, I have bought things but never sold anything. I know it's going to be a pain.

I have a lot of family archives, like my grandparents and great grandparents' documents and my dad's WWII letters to my mom, and all of his photos from the Persian Gulf Command, which not reside at Harvard.

going to start with some jewelry and purses and see how that goes.

9:09 am

i would think that there is a learning curve for selling...

yes. I think so.

I buy from eBay but never sell. It was a pandemic amusement. Now I have too many clothes I haven't worn anywhere.

I've been saving my blingy jeans instead of giving to goodwill with my other clothes. of course now they are kinda out of style.

9:12 am

the only clothes i have bought during the pandemic have been of the stay-at-home variety.....like sweats....

I have to wear something a little bit nice each day to stave off time disorientation. No sweats for me.

I live in sweats and leggings

9:13 am

same here....except when I have to go out for something....

9:14 am

I wear a lot of jeggins and leggings.

I wore jeans to the dentist last week. wasn't sure I would even have any that fit. :D

9:14 am

i will admit, with great embarrassment, that very little of my professional clothing fit very well after shutdown.

9:15 am

i can relate....

9:15 am

How is school going for you, Trif?

9:15 am

in my 20s it was so easy to lose weight - now? NO

My professional clothing has to do with sweaters and shoes

yep, so easy to gain, so hard to lose

9:16 am

I absolutely LOVE teaching where I do!!!! we are holding on to being open by the skin of our teeth, but so far so good

9:18 am

My daughter's school in KS has gone back to remote because so many of the teachers are in quarentine.

9:21 am

There is another stupid word for today. Fr7/48

slightly stuck at 55 left. guess I will feed the dog and stuff.

9:42 am

Palm lives matter bea

wondered if it was related to that. not finding the stupid version though.

oh, there's a pt of a noun, I guess that's it

9:47 am

I guess I will get busy. Don't want my extra hour to go to waste. See you all tomorow...

9:47 am

so far an easy grid

9:47 am

good morning -- everyone is up bright and early :)

9:47 am

yeah.. that's all we need is an extra hour of 2020

almost 11am here

9:50 am

I liked the idea of staying on DST all the time -- that way our kids wouldn't be walking home from school in the dusk or dark.

I'd rather be DST year round as well

9:53 am

well i am taking a break.....bbl to find my last 60....

bye pen.

9:54 am

bye pen

9:54 am

10:30 am

10:31 am

of8 = frequently

11:26 am

11:31 am

phantom: embroider

11:31 am

and embitter

11:32 am

not seeing how to extend the of 6 meaning most frequent to of 8 meaning frequently

11:32 am

the 8 is more of a compound word, nan

11:32 am

11:39 am

i need 5 B, 4 F, 3 M, 2 O, 1 each S and E

well that was easy

11:41 am

lol

11:41 am

ty for those

11:42 am

utter poverty mkg

2:10 pm

ty. great clue. got it in two seconds.

2:11 pm

got a 9 and 11 from it.

2:11 pm

great

2:36 pm

The phrase "Christmas masks" depresses me.

2:41 pm

I have avoided wearing any kind of mask that makes it look like I'm celebrating having to wear one.

4:00 pm

I've never looked at anybody wearing a mask and thought "that person is celebrating wearing a mask"

4:00 pm

mostly I'm just grateful if they manage to wear it correctly

4:16 pm

Just a personal feeling Dan, nothing I attribute to anyone else.

4:28 pm

hi all. not happy about it being dark outside. but I will adjust

4:28 pm

back to find my last 27

4:40 pm

I agree Peri. I am not a fan of this time of year.

4:50 pm

de9 and 11 related?

4:59 pm

yes mlf - penniless

5:27 pm

there is a movement in new england to keep DST going the whole year

5:27 pm

but then we'll be going to work in the dark.

5:28 pm

though at least the stupid cat won't be waking me up at 5:30 instead of 6:30 for a week

5:29 pm

Here, there is occasional discussion of eliminating DST. The twice-annual time changes are jarring. (Saskatchewan doesn't have it.)

5:30 pm

But in Alberta we probably won't change it unless the US does.

5:30 pm

I'd be OK with eliminating either one, but I agree that the time changes are silly.

5:32 pm

It's even more confusing since I guess different parts of the world switch at somewhat different times.

5:32 pm

yes - and there are states (indiana is one I know of) where certain parts don't do DST. So when you drive around, you never know what time it is

5:33 pm

That is weird

5:35 pm

Arizona doesn't switch. so they spend 8 months of the year aligned with Pacific time and 4 months aligned with Mountain time

5:35 pm

wow - just found a whole bunch of my missing Bs from a single root! 45 to go!

5:35 pm

People who work early hours go to work in the dark when the time changes.

5:36 pm

I think it's more depressing to come home in the dark. but none of it's good. Maybe we should eliminate work - that would solve all the problems

5:37 pm

Or all work in greenhouses

we had supper and cleaned up and I was like, is it bedtime, and I looked and it was 6:12. :<

5:37 pm

or lighthouses

5:38 pm

I've just been sitting here entering random N words, until I realized I'd already found all the Ns.

5:39 pm

Yeah, I have a bad tendency to keep trying things for tiles I've already finished

5:41 pm

Molly, your icon looks sort of cosy up close, but sinister in the small version

5:42 pm

bromittee: a decision-making panel of back slapping guys

5:45 pm

40 to go. bbl to list.

5:54 pm

My icon is black candles for All Souls Day

5:56 pm

I'm with Harry. Eliminate work. Hell yes! Although there are some who have the luxury of not working. Lucky them.

changed mine to a pic of my dog and it has reverted back to what I had the other day

6:07 pm

i see your dog, carla....

6:07 pm

No, it's the dog

6:08 pm

You probably just need to refresh

so weird. I'm seeing the pumpkin in the chat and the blue quilt when I click my profile. I would at least expect it to stay the pumpkin on my end until sufficiently refreshed, not revert back to a previous one.

6:09 pm

You may need to refresh in each window separately. Your browser is probably using the cache for each.

guess I could always toss my cookies (I just like saying that)

just went in on chrome where I'm not signed in and saw it there.

6:13 pm

Refreshing in each worked for me. I was seeing the pumpkin in both windows before.

6:15 pm

What browser are you using Carla?

Safari. I've recently gone back to Chrome with everything else but I cannot get my babble login to work in Chrome. I literally just changed it on Safari and then entered the exact thing on Chrome and it says there is an error with either my email or password.

just did manage passwords and I had 4 saved for babble on chrome, but that shouldn't matter since I was typing the new password and not autofilling. deleted the 4 just the same. guess I could do "forgot password" from chrome and see what happens.

okay, solved the password problem by having it emailed to me by clicking forgot password. when you make a new password it looks like you can do more digits than you actually can, so it is truncating what you think your password is, that's why it won't work when you try to sign in with the longer one.

6:27 pm

Oh Safari, a Mac, that explains the icon refresh problems

6:28 pm

I'm using Firefox on a PC, and I did have to refresh

so just for future reference if anyone resets their password and can't get in - it's 12 digits max

6:32 pm

It allows you to enter more than that?

yeah, I had entered 13 and when that wasn't working I allowed safari to create one and those are a lot longer and it took but then when I entered that back in it didn't match because it had been cut off at 12.

6:35 pm

Well, that's annoying

6:36 pm

One of the many reasons I have no use for Macintosh computers

yeah, it needs to say on the account page 12 max and then not let you go over it. but this site was made many many years ago.

I don't think this password thing is Mac specific, but maybe you are referring to the refresh problem

6:45 pm

Refresh problem and the password thing. None of the sites I use that require a password require 13 characters.

no, I think dr. god designed this site for 12 digits or less and has never changed it or updated it to current password standards. I didn't say anything about sites requiring 13 characters and sites aren't specific to macs or windows, so many sites I use are also used by windows people.

6:58 pm

My password here is way less than 13 characters so that is not correct

7:03 pm

I'm sorry, I guess I am not understanding this whole Babble password conversation

sorry, I'm sure I am confusing. will try to make it clearer...1) I tried making my password more than 12 digits here. I didn't have to, but mine are usually long. 2) it looked like it accepted the long password but it really didn't, it cut it off at 12 3) so when I thought I was signing in with my correct long password it kept saying it was invalid.

7:08 pm

can someone please clue the ti 6/24?

maybe I will email Dr. God. it's definitely the website design

pen, it's a little amount but not spelled how we spell it. the syllables rhyme.

7:09 pm

Pen, a little piece of something

7:09 pm

ty....i am done....

7:10 pm

Kind of like a tiny A cup

hehe

7:11 pm

heh heh....

7:30 pm

heading out....goodnight all....

7:31 pm

ty molly - one of my last two

7:33 pm

em 6/24 please?

apparently it's a rhubarb laxative, nan :D

7:36 pm

ok -- do you have a clue besides the def please?

ends in loud noise

7:37 pm

nm --- got it --- sort of like the laxative opposite one should never travel without

7:39 pm

thanks for the help - back at the flip if I can stay awake that long!

I definitely don't think I can make it to the flip.

7:40 pm

not when you are on the east coast!

I'm ready for bed now! has been dark for 3 hours.

7:41 pm

i can barely make it to 10 pm as it is!

7:41 pm

bye - oven timer just went off

10:23 pm

Hello! Been quiet here for the last 3 hours. I just wanted to let you know I posted story of clues if anyone needs it.
