i wonder why they accept some spanish words but not all
I suppose they accept the ones that seemed to be commonly in use in English when the word list was created.
One of the many problems with listing English words is deciding which ones are used widely enough to count as "English", despite having started as foreign imports.
Most games follow a dictionary.. any word in that is accepted, not in there, not valid.. I believe Babble follow Enable ..
Which is really just a word list, not a dictionary, since definitions aren't included.
There is an extra word in Lickety,s list.

Because the Enable word list only accepts certain words of each language. Some German, but not all German. The only words that count are words recognized by the Enable word list.

I had a red shoulder hawk in my neighborhood, but all the bluejays in my yard encouraged him to move on.
I like how you say encouraged, instead of calling them the jerks they are, harassing other birds. :D

I don't look at them as jerks. They have a role to play in their habitat and that is what they do.
we had a cool owl until the bluejays ran it off
They encouraged the hawk to leave because jays can perfectly imitate its call. It thin ks there is an other hawk in the area so it moves on to another area.
My little wrens, chickadees and sparrows are meaner at the feeders than the big birds.
we still have hawks. I assume that's what disemboweled something in our yard. Winston found the intestines the other day. so gross.

I've got so many fat quarters I would never run out of mask fabric. I look for the bigger re7s, and usually knit.
I'm not a quilter so have none of those ---- don't do much sewing at all any more. No little kids and don't need anything new for the house. Fabric is so expensive up here that it doesn't save any money to sew anymore.

coping. just. our state, Victoria, has just gone into full lockdown for 5 days, we hope. otherwise not so badly. did i tell you i was coming down off the opioids?
I saw you had posted that to someone else the other day, but I had just signed on & that was a slow hog day and you'd posted several hours earlier.
How is it going?
lots of nausea, no cravings thank heavens. just dealing with my body's reaction. taking maxolon to keep food down. implant doing it's job well.
down to one endone morning, and mid-afternoon. and one 10mg oxycodone control release at night.
That sounds miserable. I've wished in the past I could have had opioids when I have had joints replaced; but I'm such a lightweight I stop breathing before I get any pain control.
But I really feel for you going through the withdrawal symptoms.
yeah, opioids are tricky like that. i react badly to run of the mill stuff, and oxcodone is about the only oral option i have. oh, and paracetamol osteo, high dose, controlled release. no can have anti-inflams anymore either.
according to my dr's regime i should be off them in another days. just prn if i have break-through pain.
yeah, the Tylenol (paracetamol extra strength is all I can have, I'm deathly allergic to NSAIDS.

Granny, you know as well as I do that even baby doses can kill. they don't have a skin test for it yet; but we now live in a senior care building and we've been kept pretty much in lock down since moving in in Sept. They come around & test us frequently & we get quarantined for 14 days if we're out with family for even a couple hours.
I carry 2 episode-pens at all times.
