Our COVID level had been eased in the last two weeks, but Toronto, Peel, and York regions were still in lock down, so guess what they all did? They piled into their cars, and drove in the thousands up here for haircuts, indoor dining, and skiing, sooo our cases skyrocketed by 30% and we are back into heavy lock down as of today. :(
Oh, no! Too many people are ignorant of science.
The pandemic could have been less dire had people been disciplined about recommendations.
Our vaccine rollout is a joke, and the best I can hope for as an essential food work is my first shot in April sometime, while my wife and son will not get their first shot until August. it is stressful. :(
Yes, vaccine roll-out has been poor here too which is puzzling as there has been plenty of time for public health officials to have created a plan.
I see more untested people per day at my work than most hospitals see patients. Even with 25% capacity limitations, my store still sees 1000-3000 untested customers per day. :(
