Hee hee
I used to have a cat named Yorick, she was a calico with a distinct skull shape outline on her face. :D
done, yay!
finished the Os!!!
Outstanding !
tyty
hagd! off to work
Work well, see you later.
Peeps Flavored Milk. Does there REALLY need to be such a thing?
If you are a big peeps fan, sure.
Good morning, all. Just finished. Peeps flavored milk. That's just yuck.
I'm a little addicted to Peeps. Not proud of it. Peeps flavored milk though....NAw!
How was the beach, Judi?
good morning, y'all.
The beach was lovely, Bea. Got some sun and some March breeziness. A little retail therapy. All in all a good day.
sounds nice, Judi
Sounds wonderful!
It was nice to get out of Dodge for a day and enjoy some fresh air. We probably walked about 2 miles on the beach - in addition to all the walking we did in town. Finished up with a really delicious dinner.
Windy morning!
Beware the Ides of March!
hello

Off I go to do some real work. See y'all tomorrow.

ty dauber
Wow, the things you learn playing Babble. Coffee improves your vision.
you didnt know tha?
this is what coffee does to the brain in babble i keep seeing the word season and its not actually there
yes, season is a pernicious phantom today.
bottom row gray!
go, go carla!
well, the 2 things were not related. the vision was improved by switching from my ipad to my laptop.
13 to go!
I shrunk from 200% to 175% on my Surface, and am seeing better also.
wait, you're seeing better with it smaller?
yes, i'm presbyopic.
me too, but I can see larger print better
ok, 7 of my last 13 are S's
now 7/11
huh. I've always preferred about 6pt on screen.
I guess it depends how far you are from the screen. I have progressives but they were never really right for computers and I had to take them off for soccer so I just use readers now. but not wearing them currently.
you were close to getting the tiara today
10!
i use laptops, books, Kindle, tablet mostly.
good morning, everyone :)
my camping friends laugh when they see me reading my kindle because apparently everyone else can see better than me even though they're all older.
howdy nan
because I have the kindle font pretty large is what I'm saying
makes sense :)
good morning, nan
ashoo- a more delicate sneeze
i tried that one too :)
missing one from that a as well
still need one A from that and the one below.
one al4 is a latin plural
alfs - alien life forms
that's from the upper A though, isn't it?
yes
anyone have any LH? still need 1 L.
Lhasa is a proper noun
no LH - do you have the LA 5/12 ?
nope, will look now, thx
np carla
don't know why oofs isn't a word -- makes as much sense as the other one
agreed, nan
1st pass done - bbl for last 26 - have a great day all and stay safe - poof
bye, mont
I'm going to have to list for last 10 so I can get some things done
bye carla - sunny day here but very cold - re4 poof
well, my lower A was an adj of another
:)
and the missing middle A is new to me
I'm doing pretty well here (for me) but I am stuck on the N in the bottom row. Can anyone help me out with that (to get to NBT, NBS)
omg, can't believe I missed these 2 S's. a real fish slapper.
two nose words, na5/10s
there are 2 N's on the bottom row. the other is ne4/5.
lower left is a verb
I guess I need coffee too Hokie, thanks. I kept trying nose but didn't see those.
lower left is all-around player - adv, adj, & prep
*Starts a large vat of high octane, fresh ground coffee in the PB
Meet you there, Molly!
well, 2 of my last 10 just needed s added to the end. ugh.
phantom: falsehood

Thanks, got them both
yw jax
are both of the re5's pl?
No
ty
Clue for sh7, please?
Plural of a rams horn trumpet
ty, Molly
Clue for first ar7/28 please?
It ends with the same two it begins with
ty, Molly. I kept trying latin ending
which ar for the ar 7 does it start with?
the one I have is from the 4th row R
sh 5/12, second one, pls
I have sh5 boat killer and sh5 defends against flies
but still missing 8 S's
dan, boat killer must be it
aha I was missing an earlier sh5/12 thanks bichon
Muscle Sh5s Alabama
ty Molly and dan
i have 2 sh5
LA6 isnt a pl is it?
yes, yes it is
duh ty
hokie i need another clue for the ar7?
there are 2 - a pl one and the change the last letter on the other to make it an adj
didn't see your earlier clues, so that may not be another
molly said same two letters are at the end of the word as what it begins with
that's pretty spot on and spells it out
That spells it out?
well, if you know the in between letters
if that were the case i would have the word already but i dont lol
ok, do you have the other 7 or not?
or the ar6, which is the nipple word we have all the ime
no
make that plural, then change the last letter to the 2nd letter to make it an adj
i dont have any 6s ar words
thanks hokie, I was bouncing all around that one.
is there a clue for the sh7 please?
yw, amelu
it is a pl hebrew word, medusa
ends in not ne4 and pl

I dont have th6
not sure how to clue other than you are ** *** away from me and stick the h in there
Thank you. xx
sorry meant emdusa
ty got the ar 6/7
nipple word
thanks anyway, mlf, one never knows when they think they already typed in an easy one to find out later it didn't "take".
i am just confusing myself amel :)
as6 clue please?
fire remnant + part of one of the FL keys
I got the first part, but the second part stumps me because I know zilch about FL..... :(
That Key was a movie with Humphrey Bogart
the key rhymes with "freight"
do you know the Beach Boys? it's in their Kokomo song
Time for me to go
adios
Aruba, Jamaica, gee I wanna take her to Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama, key largo, montego, baby why don't we go ...... mmmm
YOU JUST TYPED IT. lol
I did? Thanks, hokie! I'll monkey! lol!
do you see the word after "key" in your post? see, you know FL.
Molly's clue led me straight to it, lol. Am I "telling" my age?
OH!!! Slaps self with giant FL fish!
I'm still trying to figure out how that rhymes with freight
have not seen many Bogey movies, but it sounds familiar now that she mentioned it
cargo, krysten. moo likes to be more cryptic.
he just snuck in and snuck back out.
ahhh...it's been a rough Monday
OMGosh, Bogey and Bacall B/W are just classic!
And I would have immediately figured it out with the song about Bogey and Bacall! lol!!
I saw Casablanca in a college class 25+ years ago. mr. homie & I just watched African Queen recently. not sure I've seen any Bogey and Bacall.
of course, I do like a lot of the B/W stuff from back in the day, anyway...
moo, stop lurking and tell us how much snow you ended up with.
and now Kokomo is earworming me
And the other song I mentioned "We had it all, just like Bogey and Bacall.... sailin' away to Key Largo"
all my friends in CO got 3-6 feet of snow.
Fw!!
congrats, une!
we ended up with about a foot
that's not awful
snowed for about 15 hours or so
yeah, and if you shoveled this morning, any exposed surface is completely clear now
apparently lightly snowed for that duration
yeah, there were a few periods where it was a bit heavier, but more consistent than anything
Lot of wind yesterday, wasn't particularly pleasant to be out in it
just texted my cousin. she said they were in Vail for the weekend and only got 8" there, but her neighbors are telling her there is 2' with 3' drifts.
i can imagine the wind, based on winds here well East of you yesterday
yeah, was talking to a colleague earlier who lives about 90 minutes from where I live, and he had around 18 inches or so
la5.12?
one of things not so commonly known about the Front Range is how windy it can be at times
I had shingles ripped off my roof year before last. Perfectly sunny day with 60-70 mile an hour winds
took me a long time to monkey that, seain. ends in most of not soft.
oh, it's a volcanology term
thanks
neat!
oooh, a destructive mudflow!
it's not the lava that kills :)
not always, no
pyroclastic flow kills more than lava does, for example.
mostly pyroclastic flows and lahars...if you're lucky enough to be hit by a chunk of flying rock or succumb to poisonous gases...or indeed be burnt alive by lava, then you're a distinct minority
right
I picked the wrong day to attend a 6am call
second sa5 please?
got ti
indian dress?
thanks anyway. xx
1 more 6 letter word then all 4s and 5s
I have just a 6, 3x7 and the 8 to go :)
firewords
well, cross off one 7 and the 8
wtg seain
was just going to say I was disappointed I didn't see the 7/8 until I listed.
and cross of the 6 and a 7
well done, DCS
i always try and get the big ones out the way first. lol
yeah, I just saw it...was looking at the right three letters at the end, but was thinking a different line
I always try to type as quickly as I can at first :)
other than that, not much of a strategy
i try to work in reverse alpha after i found what was easy for me
by the end of the grid my brain cant cope with the bigger words. lol
fw
wtg moolingwa
I just type the ones I see, which happen to be 4s and 5s mostly
well done, moo
Well I guess I kind of do the following: Don't look at any of the tile count clues at the bottom of the grid, and try to find as many words as I can...
Then go to the tiles I have the most left on, and try to work those down in remaining order
then I get distracted
I did pick up your key clue, but other than that...all natural
well done, moolingwa. i wasn't paying much attention.
great, now kokomo stuck in my head again
I don't think I used any clues or got spoiled by any today, but I did need the list for 10.
would youbelieve I am stuck on a 4 letter word!
I had one left when I went to the list, so I would believe it.
its the se4 after the second 5
got the bugger
mine was the first s
new one to me
now stuck on the first na5!
it's one we have often here, plural but no singular here today
Thank you.
fw!
gotta jet, packing for camping trip. Hagd/w, all!
wtg. have fun. xxx
tks! not my favorite thing to do but husband enjoys, so.... (I leave him to do most of the heavy lifting, I just help repack up the tent/contents after.) Have a couple of things I need to cook in advance, too...
*shrug* it's a partnership, right? Well worth spending time away from normal where he feels he has to constantly be taking care of yard stuff, lol.
Howdy!!
How are you All?
I think it's pretty cool that you have a partnership like that amelu
mr. homie was just saying this morning he wants to live out west where he can ski whenever he wants at least one winter, and I told him to feel free. :D but I want to only move to warmer places and I hate skiing.
so I reckon I'll end up somewhere horrible for at least one winter :D
It's really nice to be married to someone who appreciates the same climate as you do.
Me, too, mool. Me, too. They're rare but this one's worked for 20 years (so far, lol).
I have to say I'm where I want to be and he's from here/his family is here. No plans to relocate. Imma earwig ya Hokie. "God Blessed the broken road", lol!
hello! 35 to go here
Oh, if he wanted to move to snow land I'd tell him to have fun.
I grew up slush deep in MI, no thank you.
25
I do enjoy having seasons
Mom was born here and I think a "burden" lifted when at 14 I convinced her I wasn't gonna do visitation w/my dad anymore anyway and we needed to move here.
where are you amelu?
HH, I love pictures of that... kinda miss the maples in fall but the stark winters with leafless trees not so much.
MS Gulf Coast. As the crow flies, about 12 miles from the MS Sound.
beautiful. I've driven through and spent some time down there
drove down the natchez trace pkwy once
LOL! We have seasons! 2 weeks of spring every few years, 2 weeks of autumn every few years... Summer and Rain for the rest of the time.
That is an absolutely beautiful trip! I'm glad you were able to do it!
gotta go pickup kids! bbl
Hi everyone. I was reading the chat and wanted to let you know my daughter and her husband have come up with a plan. She hates skiing, he loves it and snowboarding. They live in SoCal. So couple of times a year he goes to Idaho and she stays home. Works for them.
That's why I told him to go ahead. I knew it could work. :D
I love the quote by Kahlil Gibran: Let there be spaces in our togetherness.

two ar7? dang, i tried the latin pl and that isn't there

there are days when you take breaks and come back to the grid and find more words, even without clues, and then there are days like today
try the hook letter for the other ar 7
oh, i got it, after i said that. natch
the peri principle at work
but thank you

I believe you will be able to find something to keep you interested.....
oh I will.. I will volunteer and take lessons doing stuff I've always wanted to do and travel some if things settle down
i have an active mind.. I don't get too bored too easily
Have you thought about writing?
I have thought about it... i'm actually a decent writer, but would need an editor to clean stuff up
That could be done.
