For me, it was that the sound quality was so much better on a CD that I switched when they became readily available -- still have our 5 slot cd player.

we have a sound bar too but we have to connect it every single time to the tv. it stays paired but not connected, very annoying.

we had to go to a size larger than I wanted to get the picture and sound quality, but I have to admit it was worth it.
we have LG soundbar and samsung TV
we had a samsung prior to this one, and liked it too. The LG didn't have some of the features that this one does and was more difficult to operate.
also , the samsung works well with the iphone and has Apple TV app built in.
Should not moan really I still remember when the picture used to roll on the TV and you had to get up and go to the TV to push a button to change one of the three channels you could choose from haha!

We are doing fine; DH is going downhill, but he’s had MS for 33+ years now & we were blessed with 32 good years (& just celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary too)!

Ruru, it wasn’t bad until this past year; now I’m pretty much resigned to 24/7 nursing ( & I’m very happy we moved in to assisted living this year, because I can’t get him up when he falls these days.
nope. most of what I have are babblets... Only three so far that I'd use in general conversation... Maybe 6-7 if I was talking to folks who would know what they mean, lol.
Oh, jeez. Yes, assisted living is a good thing (if you're in the right community). Went through that with my mother when dementia/old timers struck her. My brother moved in with her and husband because husband couldn't get her up off the floor by himself if she went down. It's a horror to see family go through such. I'm glad you've had so many better years than not so good. You're blessed.
I went “ shopping†for a good place about 2 years ago; DH’s neurologist told me that he needed to be in assisted living back then; so I looked around & had a whole list things I was looking for. At that time, I didn’t think we were ready to move, so I put the move off as long as possible(& we had to wait for an opening here too).I’m very happy
DH has developed dementia over this year; I couldn’t put it off any longer.
I'm glad for you! Those decisions are difficult but as long as you have your head in the game, they should be good decisions.
Oh, no! Dementia is an evil, evil plague. I'm so very, very sorry to hear that!
Did he play sports in his youth? I'm sorry, not my business. I have a friend whose father just passed away from said topic and they believe it was due to numerous concussions (football)... I think that those "old timer" injuries are starting to show their faces... we're infallible in our teens, who worries about long term at that point/
As far as the As go, 3 I would use in general conversation, 4 I might use in conversation with those who would understand the meaning on a specific topic..The rest are pretty much babblets.
