I didn't think there would be a problem with mac seeing as how they are both apple products.
ok, I did it in mac in photos, but I did see some windows solutions when I was looking. will link some.
ok - will look it up -- probably need to download a program to convert them.
well, the problem is with babble not taking .heic, but it was fairly easy once I figured out how to convert it in photos.
Paint.NET can convert HEIC, but you have to install the HEIC codec first from the Microsoft Store

that tells basically what buggie just said and also gives some online tools if you don't want to put software on your PC (but then you're uploading your pics onto that website)

the quality of the pic from my phone is ezcellent, but it is such a pain in the neck to get them into my editing program on my computer.
well, that's where it's nice having a mac with iphone
but then it's a pain in the neck to find the photos sometimes when you're trying to upload. because they look like they're on the computer but they've really been moved to the cloud.
I have had stuff go to the cloud too -- I guess that is from my phone. It is so confusing --- I may go back to just using my panasonic digital when I want to take a lot of photos at some occasion.
Every once in a while the phone will ask if I want to send a pic as an an heic or a jpeg -- but not always -- would like to figure that one out too!
I used to use a camera and the other day I looked forever for pics I took when we went to Whistler and couldn't find them on my phone, then I realized I took those with a camera. they're somewhere around.
