I dislike doing exams at school because I have no parent or chart, just a kid. The state requires exams for certain grades, every 2 years, but if not done at office then school doc does them.
yeah, we always just had the ped fill out the sports physical form when the boys went in for annual checkups, but you could get sports physicals other places.
the youngest did not have a sports physical before his soccer season in Jan because they made the requirement 18 mos from 12 mos due to COVID. I really think he was past 18 mos. too.
I can't understand why parents wouldn't bring their kids in for a checkup - unless it is financial. I guess that could be a problem when there is no medicare

yeah, annual checkups were always free with our insurance but I could see a parent with no insurance being like, they're not sick, I'm not taking them.
Kids can easily get free insurance coverage.
