So disappointed there’s no words off the q. I always start with it if it’s in the grid.
I got most of the upper T, but the lower one is giving me problems.
I like the Q words too.

Hi Everyone for all the Babblers that know Sprite. Happy Birthday sweetheart Sprite.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPRITE!
It's 1.43pm here - so not so early ;) (I AM totally aware it's way earlier in the morning for many of you guys)
8.43pm here Western Australia.
"Early" is relative in terms of playing the game. "Early" is whenever you start playing. Some people like the chance to find words on their own. That's why it's cool that you can turn off the chat.
If you can turn off the chat why comment?
If Babblers want clues I do not have a problem with that after all you do not have to read the posts now do we?

we are in agreement today, hurshy
You can play old grids. Just pick one out of the archives, copy it and play it. You will have to do without stats though.
I can't imagine playing more than one of these a day, but I have a pretty busy life.

sun is out here near Asheville
Oh good, Nan is here. She can quote Tupac.
🤣🤣
i am thinking of closing my door....it's down to 63 here....
wow. but only 70 here
sure molly -- was just thinking though -- what have we come to that beginning the school day with a verse from the Bible or the Lord's Prayer is politically incorrect?
there is also some wind so it seems colder....
well, I was raised Methodist in the Bible Belt, so I hear that a lot, but our country is supposed to have separation of church and state. it's fine if every kid in school is Christian, but if they're not, then the state isn't supposed to force church upon them.
so alternate between each faith represented in the classroom. Some of the messages might acturally sink in -- it certainly isn't going to hurt anyone
I agree Nan. I think starting the day with a spiritual reading from alternating faiths would be a better alternative than nothing.
yeah, I think that would be fine but I could see how problems might arise. the people from the church of satan would want their turn, but then the rest would not want to let them, etc.
and the atheists would be like, we don't want our kids hearing any of them.
I will tell you what I am sick of. Athletes making thousands or millions of dollars competing in the US turning their backs on the American flag. Hey, if you doh't like it, go compete in some other country.
there is a very noisy bird just outside....
SIgh, you are right Carla. Someone is always bitching about something they find "offensive".
I think I would have enjoyed learning a little blurb of another religion or culture starting my day at school when I was a kid, but some people prefer to remain ignorant.
I think I mentioned the youngest just graduated high school - we said the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning including "under God", and one of the kids (maybe class prez) either said a prayer or had a very christian related speech. We were surprised any of that was allowed.
did you ever find all of the h's carla? still need 3 of them here
I took a class called World Religions in High School (a Catholic High School) and was fascinated by all they similarities in different religions.
I am still missing 7 H words....
For me, this is all a great big cup of nope - both the 'if you don't like the flag leave' and the 'what's the problem with praying in school'. I think TEACHING about faith is fine - RE (religious education) is required in the UK - but imposing a faith - any faith (or indeed the idea that you have to have one at all) is not. You do not need to hear prayers or have a Christian related speech to learn about others' faiths. Prayer is a personal thing (personal to family, to community etc) and has no place in a secular educational setting - and public school should be secular. That isn't to say that individual students can't or shouldn't pray if they so wish but it should absolutely not be led by staff and should not be forced (either by rules or by teacher/peer pressure). And the flag thing - the flag is a symbol. And these athletes are not burning the flag or stamping on it. They are kneeling or turning around to quietly and peacefully protest things that their country are doing, in the hope of changing those things for the better (one knee at a time). Will it work? Meh. Maybe. It is not treason (and the statement 'if you don't like it - EVERYTHING about it - implies that the act of kneeling or turning your back is treason) to find aspects of your country disturbing and worthy of protest. I think it is distinctly un-American to insist on a 'love it or leave it' policy.
still need 2 H's, nan
i need 11 h words
HHH A SSSS

found one more H
HH AAA W S CC S

5 H words now....
have an ha 7 is there another h 7?
he 7...
i have a pl ha 7

oh and he 7 x2
still missing a 7 somewhere
I agree on that matty, it is peaceful protest, something we are allowed to do in this country. I have seen servicemen say they fought for our right to do that. but everyone doesn't see it that way.
is there an a 7 or an s 7?
well i am missing 6 7s.....
Matty, I am not saying love it or leave it. I just find it interesting that these athletes have no problem lining their bank accounts with money made in a country they find so offensive.
at7
ty mlf - looking now
yw cyber
well, I think they love the country and want it to change to treat everyone equally
Their disrespect of the flag is not going to change anything

Hi all. Any stats and clues for the 8s? I dont have any of them yet. Ty
Oh just got an re 8. All others welcome.
Also any clues for the L words???? I am clueless on those. Lw?
I found them. Weird words. Ty anyway
@mlfan17 - it works because the browser is prepending the www to the url prior to sending it. The url is translated to an IP address using a NAT (name-address-translator. If you know how to open a command window in Windows you can type in ping www.cnn.com and see how the translation works.
for example www.cnn.com is translated to turner-tls.map.fastly.net which is translated to IP 2a04:4242:21::323:
correction IP = 2a04:4e42:2e::323:
to see your own IP you can use ipconfig in a cmd window
or go to whatismyipaddress.com
Knight this is all above my pay grade.and mind.
Still cant find the i word for the 4th column i. Any stats welcome.
ia 6/21
That was an awfully complicated explanation. Most people are not that computer savvy
You haven't needed www in front of a website url in over 15 years
well i am done....nice to finish without listing....
heading out....bye all....*waving to the lurkers*....
rehi - still need the 1 word here
well done, pen
found it! now I need a nap...
hi all
moo!!
hey hoke, just getting started on this one :)
won't take long. I finished with only seeing 2 stats. possibly my greatest finish ever. 🤩
nice
now it did take me all day off and on
yeah, have 56 left now, so that went pretty quick
are you done now?
22 to go
8-5-5-2-2
10 to go - 2-3-3-1-1
pretty even. I bet your last 8 was my first 8.
could be
only because everyone else seems to be missing it.
HHHH AA S SS I
nm, closed out the H's
got my last 5 too
1-0-2-1-1
4 to go
A S S I
cross off the i
and an s4
and the 7
I can guess the A
down to s8
exactly what I suspected
glad I lived up to expectations :)
fw
never knew that could be spelled that way
well done
28 minutes, not bad
no clues today
well, I just tried it because I saw it and couldn't remember if it was that way or the real way. 🤣
yeah, typically spelled with the k, which is probably why people had problems with it
I figured I'd try it, and see
well, guess I might do a little serpentine
I also tried adding an e on the end just in case
and yes, I know there is no 9
heh, well it comes from hindi I believe, so no e there
sanskrit apparently
sanscrit
oh yeah ;)
oh, I see you made alien on serpentine. sounds right.
oh yeah, just seemed to figure it out
Re6/18 please?

i'd've never thought to try that word, thanks, Harry.
It's normally spelled with a K not a c.
good point, jacula
Loved this grid but completed it hours ago. Waiting for the next one after not sleeping (again) and watching Mummy Fox bring her two cubs into the garden to feed and play.
Thanks Seain! x
i'm down to 22
If you need a clue, Seain, please yell.
aw, baby foxes :)
Fox cubs are lovely, but they do sh*t a lot. Will need to take my cat litter tray spade out there later!
yeah, baby mammals are universally messy.
Indeed they are, Seain, including human young.
How's the grid goingm Seain?
8
*Holds breath as Seain's countdown begins.* He doesn't have long to complete this, folks!
Seain races toward the finish line...will he make it?
Last minute clues? If you need any, hurry up!
