hello, Godthaab and babblers
Greetings!
mi 7, nbt, nbs
li7
hello everyone
hey Nan
Clues are up
tyvm, Lickety!
Thanks lickety!
Hi mich!
hey, M - nice to see you here on this wet Friday
ty lickety - i'm going to need that list. Half way and slowing down all ready
It's not as wet here as it has been! Now it's just that ol' drizzle I grew up with :) But it was downpours for a couple days.
I had to go to Vancouver today, and boy howdy! it was raining buckets!!
Vancouver WA or BC?
Vancouver, WA
I'm glad it wasn't over here today, because my daughter who lives just across the river had my grandson's bday today..and the bridge is closed on weekends, so we had to take the long way round.
I'm in Portland - but grew up in Seattle (and I love visiting BC)
INothing like driving 45 minutes to an hour just to get back to where you can see home from the other side. ugh.
yep, that is annoying!
mich and I actually went to school together in Seattle as kids.
why is the bridge closed on weekends m9?
But it was a nice bday.
Big maintenance job. Will be closed on weekends until memorial day 2022.
that's a long time
It's harder for my daughter, because we're the "big town" for her community. But they really only have to come over on the weekend for church. But my Son-In-Law works over here, and sometimes during those times.
It is a long time. But it's been needing it.
Isn't it annoying when they take so long for these projects? We've had delays and one way traffic for what seems like forever while the Rogers Pass Hwy is being upgraded (think they are almost finished now). Of course all work is done during the summer months because at that elevation there is snow around from October til May
Yeah. They're doing it on the weekends because there is a lot of commuting travel on it. At least I think that's the reason.
I am kind of stuck with 36 to go.
43 here and off to bed - goodnight everyone :)
I'm slowing down, too - going to finish tomorrow. Night Nan & Mary, and lurkers :)
Night@
un6......clue please
nvm
Am I missing something dreadfully obvious with that top N? I can't see anything!

Well, I've been staring at that top n for ages and can't see anything! My monkeys have gone on strike.

Clue please for the na6/18?
Soumds like a US armed forces guy they call a jar head
Tx Molly!
hello all
morning aslindy & all
Good day to all.
Dan, your #8 is racking up goals quickly. How long do you think his career will continue?
he is in the first year of a new five year contract. I think he will finish it, but he will be 41 then. He's amazing, but he's no Gordie How :-)
Well, our Sabres beat the Oilers last night. Our young team gives us hope. And the new coach.
I do think he will join the 800 goal club, and pass Howe, but I don't think he will catch Gretzky. If not for the covid seasons and the 2012-2013 lockout, maybe he would
Go Sabres Go
Gretzky is likely unreachable.
I saw Gretzky play once - in a softball game in The Bahamas
I bet he was having fun.
it was great - michael jordan used to have a celebrity golf tournament every Jan and we ended up there the same weekend at least 2x. that time we found out they were doing a softball game and we went. so much fun.
Wow, the mobile home can even make it to The Bahamas : D
this was pre motorhome
Chris Tucker and Big Ben both hit homers
CC Sebathia played in the outfield right in front of us
dr. j was in the outfield too
Nice little grid.
maybe. I have reached halfway and just started 3rd row.
Name that proper noun...they rule (Carla will get this)
I am struggling with 59 to find.

I don't have that either
ur + anagram for what we breathe for the 5/12
thank you dan
that must have been the only thing I didn't try
mi 8/50, pls
not getting the right anagram I guess because I don't see how that's possible. I have the ur5/12 that's the vowel babblet but can't plural that.
Same here
err drawing a picture over top another picture, bichon
Last three are the nickname of Mr. Onassis

if i enter 'truant' one more time my head will explode. was not there, is not there, will not be there.
I also tried truant more than once. rehi, y'all.
ok, I have a cr5/12 and cr5/14 that are words I know. so am I missing the weirdo or I know the weirdo and missing another regular word?
somehow done without it anyway. par miracle. rebonjour to you hc! another cr 5 14, twisty.
You are missing cr5/14 that's a weird latin plural of an anatomical word - ends in Egyptian sun god.
oddish word.
got it, thanks, vic. and mab.
any entries for fake french word (or real one) for y'all? toi-tout? bonjour à tous i know, but it's not y'all-ish. tous-vous? nah...
I don't really know any french

you can also say vous toutes...
hey pen
hey carla....
speaking of french, just found the S5 I always miss. and had already found the L4 I always miss.

i have the mi 7....
I got the si7 from a hurshy clue in the chat
and the mi7 I have if you want a clue
I have the mi8 is it similar?
similar in the sense that of the prefix but not really
do I speak english?
will take a clue for the si7 yes please
well, it means winding, but if you add in to the front you are implying something
tou-tou-l'monde = all y'all, i submit. atoulmonde.
si7 - subtly accusing
without prefix

Hey, what's the point of the "my friends" tab?
Like what happens when you add people to "my friends?" Do they come visit, bringing cookies?
I don't know, joy. you haven't brought me any cookies yet.
well, did you add me to "my friends?"
try it and maybe you'll get cookies
yes! you've been there a while
I didn't know that. **blushing**
OK, next time I'm in your 'hood, I promise you I'll drop by with cookies.
it's okay, most of my friends don't know they're my friends. that's in real life too.
LOL
Seriously, though, does the friends list here serve any function, other than making you feel better about the ridiculous amount of time you spend playing this game?
I can see when people I'm "friendly" with are online without scrolling through the whole Who's Online.
ok, that's vaguely useful.
The friend's list will show you who is online without scrolling through the whole Who's Online list. Or people you would rather avoid.
Maybe I should get myself some friends, then.
Sorry, I just repeated what Carla said
and you can click on their profiles if they're not online, otherwise you wouldn't find them
Yeah, you can find profiles on the rankings page
yeah, but then you have to scroll through all that and it's not alphabetical
You can CNTRL + F and search the rankings page. Amd profiles show when you click the pink, blue or grey "persoj" icon next to the name
interesting on the search
Or however you FIND with those Mac thingys
Tx hokie
no prob bob
ok, I'm going for a bike ride, so now you can see i'm offline, joy. (that is if you added me 😜)
So nice to have friends. I feel like I accomplished something today other than sitting on my butt playing computer games.
most of my "friends" in babble are the nutjobs I want to keep tabs on :D
So many nutjobs, so little time
uh oh. Am I on ruru's list? Don't answer that question, ruru.
nope.. you are not joy.. you seem perfectly nice to me

mmmmm, no, not that one..... I have 18 left....only been playing since summer, but I don't seem to be retaining any new vocabulary
i usually have to get help from morewords to find the last few weird ones
how is morewords superior to word hippo
word hippo, isn't that more of a thesaurus? morewords will give you words such as: 6 letter word starting with mac, much more useful for boggle
no, look at word hippo sometimes....you can pick number of letters, starts with, or other options......then the letters
14
hmmm, will do
hoping to distract you till I can catch up.....before I just give up
catch up to me? i have 29 to go LOL
so, at 8:32, what was the 8 with a smiley face
mi8: to not get a pencil and onion paper project right.
hi dc
dc, sorry, I had that one, I didn't understand she wanted a clue, thank you
hello, Gwen :)
oh! LOL
8 - D is a grinning smiley with glasses
8 - D is an icon for a smile, like : D
duh thanks :)
And morewords is great. If you are looking for mi8 you type in mi------ and it gives you all of your options. The more letters you use, the better the search.
In the case of mi8, if you typed mis------ it would be better
I don't care for word hippo
Molly L thanks....I was just wondering what made it better than Word Hippo
SI 7 clue, please
