Sorry, Molly.
Bea, how is your Mom?
She is doing okay. Doctor put her on a boost of steroids so she will be much better in a day or two. There was no pneumonia. Thank goodness.
Thanks for asking.
Oh, no, healing energy to your mom.
Thank you, Scrabs.
The dr wants to put her on a biologic. She has refused but it may be time to reconsider.
Biologic meds have transformed medical care for so many disorders.
She has an exacerbation about every two months. That is too often. Maybe this med will help.
My brother uses one for his psoriatic arthritis.
Glad to hear she is doing better Bea.
Are you cooking the turkey, Molly?
Yes I am, We are getting ready to drive out to the fresh turkey farm to pick it up. And a home made pie too,

alien + two vowels + not early
That is the ET, Ruru. Dawg wants the EL
alien has me confused.
thank you zoom was thinking what the heck. :)
oh sorry.. not enough coffee yet

E not early and of passage a bit like not left. if that makes sense.
4:20pm
E + not early + ****s of passage.

Anytime.
holy buckets! that was a blistering grid!
el9: make very happy + religious or ceremonial act
oops, late clue - my chat strangely froze.
he 7/52?
plural of a word ending with large point tile
ty aslindy!
good morning everyone -- ty for the el and et - still looking for the pe 9-10 that are all about bones
wow - carla's favourite acroymn is in the grid
Babblers name + what a thief does.
pe9 - hockey players go to the box for pe9
There is a vowel inbetween babblers name and what a thief does.
tr7/8 or ou7/8 please
thank you Ted
OU 7/8 ends in what you use your ears for.
oh so there is another 9 besides the demerits that is not related?
ty zoom - new word for me
ty zooz
TR 7/8 start with a word for three + when you pay each month for a place to live.
not getting tr7/8 clue
first or second part?
does it start tri?
2nd part - can only think of rent which isn't there
just found tr7/8
Nan start with a group of 3 and to allow
the last part confused me zooz but I got it. thanks
ty peri
yw
It is anoter word for rent so was hoping you kmight get it.
wow sorry for the typos.
not a word commonly used here for that, zoom
Okay. Keep it in mind for next time lol
175 left and stuck
*and yet it is common with the sub prefix attached
hi! I've seen it like he has a room in his house he lets out but not that way.
what a strange language we have
When we were children we would see signs outside some houses on a big board saying to let. We being children would be silly and use a marker pen and put an i inbetween so it read toilet. Things we did when we were young.
I do think it's a little obsolete here for that usage
What a board being put up outside a house or the word to let?
the usage of to let as to rent
As I see. It is still very common here.
Ah*
but I think the confusion was also the way you worded it, more as like it was a rent payment. have never heard a let payment, but maybe that is normal there. as nan said, english is weird. (or something)
No it is probably the way I worded it.
I sometimes hope that when trying to clue that people would look at the grid and realise what I am getting at without spelling the word out. I am not very good at giving clues.
All clues are welcome here zooz 😀
no, that's okay. I have the same issue. and wasn't trying to pile on, just trying to help clarify.
Thank you, Origami â¤ï¸
No worries, Carla.
i like how the communication here is a lot nice and more understanding to what im used to in real life
most of the time!
I can relate to that, Chryst41. There are some foul mouthed people out there.
It has spilled over into babble chat at times as, Carla has alluded to.
Indeed, i sometimes wonder why people choose not to at least try to communicate properly
well thats expected, but its good if it doesnt last permanently
I know I can convey my thoughts here and it is taken with respect. The only one I had a bit if a gripe with no matter how many times I tried to be polite and got snarky back was a babbler Called Brabblerabble or BR as the person was also known. No longer here though.
it's really hard to read tone and intentions on this platform
It hard to read tone and intentions on any platforms to be honest
or at least most
yes
That is true.
everything i say is true
May I say, Chryst, I like the reason how you found babble!
you see without any indications its very easy to misunderstand
it is a pretty interesting situation
Oh I am mostly misunderstood haha!
does anyone have a clue for that uh please?
uh auld ***g syne.
uh + local area network
ty carla
I hope the next 150 words aren't all going to be like this!
and zooz! ðŸ˜
You had better strap in, Nan! There are some weird words in here.
ugh, just got to the 24 A tile
struggling with the 48 t tile
found 38 of those and moved on
*glad zooz didn't have a typo*
Which is surprising, Ruru! I am the king of typos with this chatpad I am using with the xbox haha!
Thankfully I have fireworks. So will bid you all a good day/evening. Happy babbling everyone!
well done! 176 left here. still working first pass.

i have a good apple cake recipe too. it says "the secret to its deliciousness is in the glaze", and it is not wrong.
we almost have thorazine today- which many of us will need to get through the holiday

multiple cars from the same rental company, aeb
he 7- plural car rental companies
hoike! good grief. oh my ea4 and whiskers, i'm _____, he would say, looking at his watch
tyvm hokie carla never heard of that word being pluralized
I haven't read books like you! I was more into Trixie Belden and Sweet Valley high.
i read those too. but, haven't you seen movie versions?
not that I can recall. but will try to do some googling. heading over mountains right now, so I'm surprised I'm even getting this to work.
did you also like BabySitters Club?
that was a little after my age group
that was a little after my age group
too bad, those were quite good
trying to think what else I used to read, boy my memory is getting bad. VC Andrews.
nancy drew, hardy boys
yep, read those
my friend lost to me in the sixth grade spelling bee when she misspelled amateur. we both read nancy drew, so i was like, how did you get that wrong, that word is in EVERY nancy drew book!
haha. I wondered how the spelling bee guy could not include titian. had he never read nancy drew??
the artist?
what does that mean?
indirectly, the artist. because he liked to paint red-headed women, red hair has come to be called "titian" color, and thus became a common adjective
I just know every book described nancy drew as titian-haired.
was also sometimes used to describe Anne of GG
just looked up the et8. now that kind of jarred my memory about the rabbit.
phew
just looked up titian. I had never even heard of the painter.
i think the 10 is going to be my last word today
I got it earlier thanks to a clue
I was guessing that rainiqui called it and I was right
hi again -- had gas mechanic here to check fireplace
and?? does it work?
Interesting the different ways people clue things -- took me a minute to figure out the white rabbit clue
*and I already had the word :)
it was leaking gas last night, so had to shut it off. working fine now
well that makes me feel better about not getting it
carla - would you post your apple cake recipe in your profile? or send it to cybernan@gmail.com?
that was TO
but you got the rabbit clue now, right?
ok, sorry - TO?
I made a chocolate ganache/caramel to4 and a couple of batches of fudge.
on mmy way over :D
one was vanilla M&M fudge (I believe you all call them smarties?) and one was vanilla cranberry orange fudge.
haven't made fudge for years
there's a fudge recipe that's quite simple, on the back of marshmallow bags, that uses marshmallows (obvs)
I usually make chocolate fudge, but my youngest loves the M&M one and my mom likes the cranberry orange one, so I just made those. Can do chocolate at Xmas.
when I make chocolate fudge I use the fantasy fudge recipe that used to be on the back of the marshmallow creme jar, hurshy.
going to have to get busy and get the shortbread made -- usually have it done by now
still on the road here but about 45 min from mom's house
Is there an er 8?
going to be a struggle to make her let me do most of the cooking.
I believe hurshy said there was, but I don't have it, mab
and I think it was high points (er8)
er 8 is a plural of er 7 to make sensual
that might just help - thanks hc
tx luv
ah, thanks, luv
holy smokes, I still have 12 8s left
I have three of the 9
I have 4 9's left

ty luv

Hello

bea!
hi bea
Finally getting a rest.
Carla, is your frosh home?
yes, he got home Mon night
It wasn't his dorm that got flooded was it?
he didn't mention it if it did. when was that?
he is on the 2nd floor at least
Some time this week. A water pipe break in one o the dorms. Didn't really pay attention beyond that.
he did say there was a fire alarm recently and when he got out there the police and fire were already there and he thought that was odd.
Could have just been a drill.
that's what I said
alright I think I'm closing up now. 109 left. happy thanksgiving, y'all!
bye carla
hello all....
hi pen
hi nan...
don't understand why realtor isn't a word -- is someone who sells properties for a living called something else in the states?
i was hoping i would see more when I came back, but that doesn't appear to be the case...:o|
i guess realtor is a trademark....
I think it's been mentioned that for some reason it's a proper noun??
It is a trademark
that shouldn't make a difference -- lots of words we have are also proper nouns
Change that last vowel though
ty, Bea....
ty bea

ah....only at 86 here...
no, it was less than 40, because i had got 90% earlier
having trouble seeing a pangram for Spelling Bee
i thought maybe, if you are anything other than an antelope, you could be called an untelope, but turns out that's not a thing
guess not...
went away, came back, saw it right away
well i am off...bbl to finish...bye...
what is a pangram?
TO - in this sense, it's when you use all the letters in the NY Times Spelling Bee puzzle.
ither
oops, sorry

so many prope nouns and phantoms!
Fun grid. See you all tomorrow...
bye, bee!

finding some words i should have found easily....
I have never seen most of them before
i guess i don't know many H words either....there are lots of them!
there is a pe 9 that I can't find -- even with the list
haven't gotten there yet....been busy skipping other words i can't find....
pe 9 - either a goal given away in a soccer match or like the pe10 but drop the final letter
should read goals (pl)
oh i had the pe 9.....don't have the 10....
still don't have the 10...
If you have the os6/18, that's the ending
pe 10 - can clue if you like
Fireworks - thanks to Lickety and cluers. Enough time spent on this grid. Have a good day / evening everyone.
grats liz
Thanks.
congrats...
Good luck with the grid - started well but got pretty difficult for me.
found the 10....thanks for the clue...
ty IG
Tx for the 10!!
i came in on the tail end of this cluefest. i am lost
yw, Peri
the os bone rlated word has something to do with pe10?
ty A2Z Word Finder.. couldn't have finished without you!
Happy Thanksgiving, Babbler buddies!
to you, too, aloy....
saem to you, aloy
i went through the list and still have 14 to find...
yes, TO, replace "winkle" with the os6
cut off the end for a 9
i think it's time to list.
there are some weird words here today...
the Hs are killing me...
the monkeys have stepped up to the plate....down to 4....
howdy!
still 8 H's here but that's not my worst tile. 100 left still.

yep
well, still 8 h's. didn't find any new ones.
doh, there's one

i listed at 74, i think....

got three left here...
bye, nan....
i am done....used Best Word List for the last few....
carla....i made it to Queen yesterday....last word was, indeed, another de 6.... ;o)
I'm only "nice" today 😀
you are nice every day, ori... ;o)
i am at Amazing today, but stuck....
Why thank you :D
I usually stop at amazing
yw...
i often stop at Amazing, but I do like to find the pangram....too many to get to Genius today, so i will stop there....
And with a "u" as the central letter it is more difficult.
yes, took me a while to find the pangram...well i am heading out....goodnight ori, carla.....*waving to the lurkers*....
Goodnight, pen.
