I don't have that one either, Nan. But I'll be sure to call it if I find it :-)
It's a plural
it is my last 7
oh. duh.
thanks, gillie
yw

ty gillie

Well, think I'll call it a night with 20 left
me too, but 55 left here
good night everyone :)
happy Australia Day to all down under
hello all
Hi aslindy. I have been here a few minutes. How are you today?
I'm doing ok so far, just having breakfast
how are you?
How cold is it up there?
0 F is the current temp
8 F here. Brr. I am waking up and getting mentally prepared for work.
I'm thankful I don't have to go anyplace today
Stay warm inside. Do you have a pet to snuggle with?
ie
I have a dog and 2 cats who sometimes snuggle with me
I have 2 rabbits that do not like to be touched but they make me smile and laugh.
I was just laughing at my cat, chasing a ball around a circle track
Animals are funny. Sometimes human animals are funny too, especially the young ones.
my husband is pretty funny, but he's basically a big kid ;)
That's what most of my friends say.
I passed halfway and must get ready for work. Stay warm.
have a good day!
good morning
hi there
how's it going?
I was at my computer early enough to say hi to scrabs but was part of a feeding frenzy to get an assignment to make some money on the last day of a project
got one so life (and earning a living) goes on
that's good, then
haha yep. I realized the other day that i was part of the gig economy before it got that name. . .
how are things with you aslindy?
things are ok. still organizing after our daughter moved out
haha I am still doing that and the boy moved out 10 years ago!
are you enjoying the change?
in some ways, yes. her schedule was always changing, so mine was as well. now things can be a bit more regular
well you always miss them some but having more control over things is good
yep. and in a couple years when my husband retires, we'll be moving closer to our kids
nice.
they are about a 7 hour drive away now
with technology things are way more connected than when I moved out of my parent's house
very true
I went to Europe for a vacation at 20 years old and I was effectively cut off
my boy went to Ireland during the peak of the pandemic (please let that be true) and we spoke and texted and video called. . .
even when I went off to school it was only one phone call a week, or letters.
we do a lot of text chatting, and we also game together, so that's a fun way to stay connected
he lives in a different neighborhood in DC now and we still text and video call!
but I had lunch with him yesterday. my first time in a restaurant for 2 years.
something about eating something freshly made by someone else on a plate and not a box that was appealing
sounds nice
it was. and tasty.
11 left. the end is in sight!
go aslindy go!
Happy Australia Day!
fw!
whoo hooo aslindy!
off to figure out what I'm doing today. have fun!
enjoy your day

hi folks
:)
Good morning, welki.
bea - so far, the sprouts are delicious (china rose radish and bok choy - just started cabbage yesterday)
I'm sure they are delicious. I may have to start some.
it's nice to see something growing this time of year
hi all
Hello, jmc.
hi, jm
ugh trying to persuade a client that letting a real estate agent "work with her" to set a price and then buy her house is NOT a good idea. really talk about self-dealing!
Seems unprofessional at the least.
no kidding. but there are always people who want to "give you a deal" Let me set the price and then buy it and then you won't have two real estate commissions. You will "save" money
sadly this client has ignored my advice again and again and I suspect she will this time, too.
I swear some people walk around with "patsy" written on their brows.
okay. rant over.
no lefsa allowed
what is lefsa?
norwegian flatbread
I think some people just have very little intelligence. Did you see the story about the couple who let their two year old play with the cell phone? The kid ordered $2,000 worth of furniture.
ah!
I love most flat breads
haha they probably thought the phone was locked
Nope. No lock on it. And she had an open shopping cart for furniture, which is how the kid just clicked and ordered.
that was dumb then
not to say I haven't ever done something dumb
You?? No way 😊
I know it is hard to believe. . . .
hello everyone, interesting conversation. Odd how many people seem to be begging to be duped.
hi saan
hi jmc, your stories are fun! Off now to start the day, bye til tomorrow
I watched a client lose all his savings after not following my advice. . . frustrating
glad you enjoy saan hagd
In other news, I'm just not seeing the RE8s....
they go with the rhyming words of today.
As in plop plop fizz fizz oh what a ....
death of the expert, it's a trend, more and more people are willing to listen to "someone" on the internet than a person who's invested time to learn about and be an expert in X
Could someone clue me for the two RE 8s please.
Just talking about them ron.
re + pt of seek
The other re8 is a word that rhymes with the last part of that word.
got 4 words out of that clue! thanks much
nope nor seeing anything,
I looked so hard, but had to look again - when I found it, I battled so hard I had to battle again
re + so6.30
The root words are two that when I found them, I felt like a fish had slapped me - obvious when you read them, not so obvious when you seek them
got the 8/75 so far.
Top tip for anyone looking - the past tense of seek isn't seeked.
The 8.60 is one letter different.
Why is it bothering me that anyone would think seeked is a word?
There are THREE 8s - please what are the stats for the not RE8s?
gottit thanks to all the clues.
gh 8/55
Hah, Molly - just trying to give a sneaky clue ;)
GH? Eep!
plural of the gh6.27
Gh horse drawn asian carrriage.
Guess I'd better find the horse drawn carriage then
it ryhms with when you are wed.
Thank you - that helped! Found it
when it comes to gh, i'm like... ghost, ghoul... i'm out
good clue on the gh, would never have gotten that
Did you see ron's clue?
same for me hursh but now I have an asian carriage. . . maybe I will remember it
oh wait i also know ghetto!
yes, i got them now, i was just commenting
sadly i still need 2 other G as well
There are three gh's
good add hursh
i have 3 gh
hmm I only have 2
three go.
i have 3 gh and need 2 more g also
i got them!!!!!
go hursh go
ME TOO!
^5 Shirlock
go shirl go
it was probably the same g hursh
perhaps!
Wordle today was fun.
i was soooooo sure i have the word in 4, it was one or the other and i chose the wrong one, so it took 5
I'm off to make things happen. Until tomorrow.
enjoy bzzn
do you have to register on Wordle? Have played a few times, but my record doesn't show all together, just that day's
there's no registering but it remembers your device
or ought to anyway
oh, ok,ty mael
which might depend on your cookie settings, cache, etc
newbie for today = o5, an old Irish alphabet. Happy Babbling all.. poof
Not new for me, but I come from a long line of Celts.
Speaking of cookies, maeil can go to the PB and get some.
se 5/16, pls
SE 5 is a font you can use in typing.
tyvm zooz
Most welcome, Bichon.
Or Seain's famous clue...I shot the se5, but I did not shoot the apostrophe...
good morning everyone
Good afternoon nan
sorry bichon - didn't realize it wass afternoon on the east coast -- I just got up
I like that one, Molly!
Hello, Nan!
Wish I could take a nap
don't know what that o5 celtic language is -- in Scotland they speak Gaelic
Og and 'Green Eggs and ***', Nan
that's a new one for me, soodle - ty
Is it a local dialect or an old Irish word for the Irish form of Gaelic?
ma 7/32, pls
Husband and wife.
ty again Zooz
just looked the og word up -- a script rather than a language
It is an early Celtic alphabet. Each symbol corresponds to a letter.
language is an ever evolving thing and I think it is great when new words such as go6 and a a picture taken by a camera at the end of a long stick are added to our dictionaries --- what I don't like is the addition of words that are just sloppy spelling of something else
*!*~*!* hagd everyone -- need to get going after sleeping in so late!
fr 5/16, pls
side for a burger
sorry, second one
fo6??
Oh, never mind...
I got it.
Totally didn't think of looking in another part of the grid!
fr5/16 - a really weird one.
Think of a lion blowing out birthday candles and then suddenly yelling at something.
can you please that in a different way, pls
ty got it, ty dauber
help with either re8 pls. hi all
I only have one 7. the se7
ha7, ma7 and ta7 all rhyme
thanks peri for the se7 - didn't see that one until you mentioned it
re7 is a plural i just found trying to see what an re8 might be
fe7 rhymes with se7
re8 battled again
last re8 looked for again
and the re8 both rhyme, but not identically like the 7s i mentioned
No one seems to be on all of a sudden, and I'm all done trying on this grid. It was fun, but I'm not patient enough to finish today lol. Hello and goodbye to all who remember me - it's been a long while since I was here last but it never gets old!
hi and bye firefly!
Tx for the clues!
