Co7
Hi all, hi, Westford - I tried to say hi before but it was right at the flip
I think we should be able to make an adjective of the co7
co11
co7 x 2
and co9
Welldone, Gillie!
ty
co7 x 3
I think contraire should be one of the french words we are allowed
concerta
Sorry!
co8, by the way
No, I'm not dying, as I found out yesterday, thank God, but I do need to change the way I do my day.
Well, that's dramatic. I'm glad you're not dying!
oc7
not seeing that co 7-9 combo, but then it is late for me
Sorry. Wasn't meant to be dramatic. Flip happened mid post.
It's a bit weird - looks like a misspelling (the co7/co9)
Clues are up
ty lickety!
thanks, Lickety!
Jacs, I'm glad you're doing ok
will look tomorrow, gillie -- have co 7 x2 and the 8 but don't think they are the ones that stretch to a 9
No, I don't think there's a related co8
good night everyone :)
Good night, nan
Sleep well, Nan
Phantom "nocturne"
Cutey is a word damn it
Stupid game, told me it wasn't in the dictionary, turns out on second attempt it is
Ooh, fun grid !
trying to get my CO 7/40 to CO 11/104
co11...stay focused, you will find it! GM IT
thanks Dawg
co7, we should have a tropical cocktail to celebrate.
TY, lbd!
funny AJ raging against the machine at 2:47
"stupid game" will prevent a return, I hope.
hello all
Good morning, aslindy.
how's it going?
dont think i've seen the ET 8/45 as a single word
it's a good word
good, but one word? hmm
isn't it always one word in english?
two words in my Latin class way back when
I wore a night splint to help with Achilles tendinitis and I am walking without pain this morning. After 11 months of this I need relief...without resting for 2 months.
Aha, TY for et8.
huh, never mind. it's one word in Italian, mostly used as two words in english except the adverb, which is what this is
wow, hope it helps a lot!
CLue for N in 3rd column?
ooh, i hear you Scrab - got achilles issues aas well
hope it works scrabs!
my phantom there is nocturne, alas
What has helped you, IG? I have been stretching. But to stop hiking/snowshoeing/XC skiing is too drastic for me.
not sure there is a cure, Scrab - stretching helps
I don't want to experience a tear and surgery.
Achilles tear ended my College track scholarship
OUCH
tadone! yikes Scrabs, sounds like no skiing in the near future for you. :(
I have not stopped my activities thus far, which is foolish, so I bought s night splint yesterday. My foot is held in dorsiflexion so the tendon cannot tighten.
the middle column n is like the word for not guilty without the first two letters
keep us updated on the results (good I hope!)
Nolo contendere?
Have a great day everyone!
Bye lbd
it's no6,21
thanks greyhound :)
I have to get ready for work. I will think about your clue, aslindy.
sorry, I meant to thank aslindy
but also thanks to greyhound for always being lovely
:)
Ill take it it Mae - FW and off to the day
hello all. help with bottom N pls.
no6 ends in another word for penny
oh, i think we can add re4 to your babblet list, molly
and the upper 3 e's
All of the ey's
and upper y, basically most of the 4s
and the re5 which i've just learned is the pl of the re4 that I always try to add an s to when available
phantom: neuter
thought for sure co9 would take but of course not
te5 for babblet list
NTPN - candy wafers
necoo
morning all
necoo
necco
geez
i see my favorite nasty curse word is in the grid today!
You win a box of conversation hearts, Carla.
I hate that word.
Excon is not a word. I thought it would be.
I think it's ex-con but tried it just in case
so many do, bea. i adore it precisely for its harshness and vulgarity...i don't use it very often
yeah, it doesn't bother me
Any clues or stats for the big words? Ty
nope, haven't found any yet
I'm going to hide.
Words only have the power you give them. That word is given a TON of power by women, which is why men bring it out as a big gun in a fight.
plenty would say that cursing is unnecessary, that there are other ways to express yourself. i say coffee is unnecessary...there's always tea. if someone called me that word, i'd shrug it off. but that's me. call me what you want, it's what i think of myself that usually matters.
Yes, well, 25 year old me gave it a lot of power when it was used in verbal assaults by me ex.
your ex is an absolute piece of trash, and i am so, deeply sorry you ever had to go through that.
Wow……..what a terrible man he must have been. I hope you didnt have kids with him.
Thank you. Than is why he is my ex.
In my world, tea is the unnecessary thing. Men like that are pigs.
even good kids can come from bad relationships, mkg. at least, that's what i would like to believe. i may be screwed up a bit, but i have learned who i don't want to be because of them.
and my mom is plenty proud of her kids
Any clues for bottom corner E words? Are they ex?
And he knew that word had the power to upset you, which is exactly why he used it.
MKG one is et
Leigh you are for sure right. I just meant that if there were no kids then they never have to be in touch again. Thats what i meant. If you share kids you meet over and over again.
I agree. Plenty of good kids come from bad relationships.
Ty untitled
I have two very wonderful daugthers with him. They are both happy and healthy women with wonderful children of their own.
Not people who have sole custody.
Part of the reason I left him was I didn't want my girls thinking it was okay to be treated like that.
YES, Bea! Because you raised them well and they know what strength looks like.
Thankfully, my father didn't really stick around after a while.
Very smart Bea.
A man like that didn't deserve you Bea. I'm glad you found one who did.
Glad your daughters are a blessing. Wonderful.
Any clues for bottom corner E other than et? I cant find et word either. Sorry
there are two et, et6 and et 8
not related to one another
Ty. Any meanings to give me? Ty
one's a chemical and one goes at the end of a list
I just got an et 5 from that corner E. What they used for anesthetic in the olden days is et 5.
oh sorry, it was a 5 not a 6
my bad
i always thought the et 8 was two words. huh!
Still not seeing et 8. Is it from the et5?
not from the et 5. it's a list finisher, think latin
well, made it to 30 left with HOET
and singing "reunited and it feels so good", because I am seeing words not there.
I still don't have the 9 or the 11
i'm also seeing a ton of phantoms
oh, all I had to do was lament because there they are
I dont have even a 7 yet.
I give up. Ta all
I only have 1 7, no 8s or 9
or 11
1 have 2 7s and nothing longer...
there's the aforementioned et8
the 9 and 11 are Cs
I hid while I was finishing the my first pass
but not the co9 I tried earlier
tks mael, i'm only on 2nd row...
the Cs are the real pain today!
mael, some of the spelling bee words from yesterday or the day before were ridiculous. I just don't get his reasoning on what he allows.
I don't either, some of his choices are really absurd
some slang, but not all slang! some science words but not even close to all "normal" science words
yes. I thought he was going with more normal words, but some of them, I'm like, who knows that?
I will never forgive him for missing UNDAUNTED though
It's a big mystery at Chez Bichon
yes, that was a big day 🤣
weird, because he had DAUNTED, which is less common than UNDAUNTED by a good margin
yes, I even said that in the email I sent that day
then I discovered he was getting hammered on reddit and twitter about it
I also emailed that day haha
I bet they got a very large amount that day
Why was that 11 so hard!?
is it related to the 9?
No
I guess it is.
hmm, mixed messages here
just found a c7 that is a regular word but no expanding it that I can see
If you focus hard, you will get the 11.
haha, thanks bea!
tks Bea, got the 11 !
woo got the 7 9 and 11
well, I imagined that was some kind of clever clue, but still looking here. CO, right?
and a 7 and a 9 !
yes, co
just think really hard hokie
eureka
they're all related via latin :)
oh no, only 1 4 left here.
have now tried itty twice for my last i
guess what, still not a word
probably a i7 carla...
thanks, monty
so twisty I didn't even look for it, just typed it in
and found my last A - top row gray!
np - 1st pass done: 5 7s and no 8s - bbl for last 34 - enjoy ! - poof
bye
I'm off for the day. If I go MIA this weekend, no concerns. Just a lot of backlog I need to get through.
bye bea!
cancels milk carton postings for bea
yeah, but what if she really disappears and no one looks for her for days?
I'm afraid for checking on people here as some are passing away
yep
oh, hah, I found a fruity 7
I realize that's life, but it's certainly weird when they're younger than me
how old are you now? 105?
getting there.. and finally wiser
middle row gray! think I will leave last 19 for later. TTFN
I've finally finished the Cs, hooray
Kudos!!
i'm missing three but finding them
well my last 8 is a t
must be mine too, then
oh, I found it!
te8/50
I unearthed it finally
and I finally got all the 7s too
good morning -- first word today was the 11 :}
stats of the 11 please?
co 11/104
thanks Nan
just read back in the chat -- guess there is a related 9 also
7-9-11 --- not how I would have spelled the 7 and 9 and they are not really related when it comes to definition
*have probably thoroughly confused everyone now
haven't had a necco wafer in a looooooong time. Hi all
stats for the middle column n please?
top row grey!
no6.21 nan
I keep seeing that nocturne phantom
found it - ty aloy
yw ..
is there a definition for the 11?
Thinking really hard
ty Molly
wasn't there a board game called co 11?
matching game I think
hello all...
hi pen (-:
hi aloy...
hi pen
Co11ion was also a TV show
Hugh Downs... ;o)
at least I think he was the host...
hi nan, molly....
Those pictures were always so oddly drawn.
yes...i used to have the game....new pics were accessed via a roller knob....
You can play online now. Password too.
that was helpful thanks!
i guess you can play most anything online...i liked my Tic Tac Toe game, too....
phantom: cocoon
good one....mine was contrary....
yeah that too
tried both of those
I found an intriguing word while searching morewords for the co 11
I was annoyed that the french for that wasn't accepted -- a lot of other french expressions are -- but au contraire
yes, i tried that, too...
FW! have a good day everyone
congrats....bye....
I think because the french is a 2 word expression in english it isn't accepted
bye mael, well done
wtg mael, hagd!
corner E has et5 and what else?
no one is intrigued by the intriguing word I found looking for co 11?
there's an et8 I don't have
but have tried a lot
et8 hurshy
I am intrigued meatball
well execute is a phantom... ;o)
lady on Seinfeld said it a lot..
thank you Hokie, it was cockchafer. I'll just leave that there.
et 8 is another of those foreign expressions and so forth
hmm let me think... elaine said "get OUT!" a lot
ohhhhhh
i didn't think that was all one word
yada yada
And get all of your dirty minds out of the gutter. A cockchafer is a beetle.
I thought it might be related to itchy underwear
I guess Yul Brynner in the King and I would be another clue
but yes, I did see it is a beetle
lol Meatball
when to sing: oncue
not seeing that no6.21
penny ending hursh
Yul Brenner was a great clue. Especially for someone who didn't watch Seinfeld
hmm, moo and I discussed et8 before when it was a phantom for me and he said it was 2 words, so I didn't even consider it.
like me... ;o)
ah yes, right Molly
oh dear - Hurshy is broke
ohhh i have that, i just was mixed up. i was thinking that no6.21 was mentioned as being the corner, but it was actually the left one
it is the corner that i don't have
nothing...
Carla, I hate to break your heart, but Moolingwa was not always right.
how dare you, sir
m'aam
the origin is two words, but the common usage is one word...
oh dear, hurshy is broken
i got it
thinking it was a 6 just threw me off, of course
retcon must predate enable
we would have to retcon enable
any other 8s people wanna mention?
I just have the one
seems like I just read ruru talking about a T8
co 8...
and te 8...
hey molly, do you know what kind of word retcon is?
missing the te 8 here
a sci-fi verb
well, I think it can be verb or noun, but I was looking for portmanteau from molly
the te 8 is related to the number three....
ahh thanks
retroactive continuity
I thought ruru said something about earth so I reckon I was looking in all the wrong places
ty pen
ok now for that co
phantoms: century, contrete
i mean conCrete
i noticed concrete as well....
there's just so many c phantoms!!!!

ty Vicuna!
ahhh thanks vi
lol, good one. thx
great clue
te 6/18, second one, pls
of course I tried the wrong vowel on the end first
lol - great clue vicuna
phantom: contrite
hmm, don't have any te6, bichon. will look.
if te6 where ti6 it would be a nervous laugh
And if it were tu6 it would be a disapproving maiden aunt
rhymes with what you write and send, bichon
oh, the skin disease
ty Vicuna
the first te 6 please?
rhymes with a long lean rodent that some keep as a pet that likes to steal and hoard things
jock itch, ringworm, psoriasis, te6, and removes corns and calluses. blue star ointment!
looked it up: alt. spelling for metal ring on a harness, of course.. lol
ty hurshy
well, lunch break is over. gotta get busy. 14 left for later.
bye carla....
bye carla
Bye, carla.
signing off too.. Happy Babbling!
bye aloy...
bye aloy
never remember that yt word
Ooh, thanks, cyber.
clue please, vic?
anyone have a clue for that co8?
add a vowel to the previous word...
italian musical perfomances?
it's an italian plural, i think.....
clue for the yt 6 please?
ends with two vowels...
yt6 - ends with three musicians, but change the final vowel
thanks pen
and vic
o
It's a very implausible combination of letters to start with, but just go with it!
yw....
i keep getting distracted by new phantoms...
*!*~*!* anyone want help before I leave?
Now is a good time to mention that I put a list of the most frequent Babblets in my profile.
Yay for cybernan!

It is a terrible thing when your input is all exposed and hanging out. 😊
it is a terrible thought...
Hi Penquis,
we recieved 8 inches yesterday and 18 last weekend. Skiing is great!
glad you are enjoying it....we only got about 5 inches but under that was about 2 inches of ice....didn't like that at all....fortunately it's melting today....
well i am done....nice seeing you, fuzzy....bye all....
i'm back, 8 left....but my brain is fried.
Leigh, I just started. 59 left. Probably nothing you need, but let me know. Don't quit with 8, girl!
hello sophie!\
hi all. have co7 and co8. help with co9 and co11 please
hi peri, think hard about it. focus and you will get it!
hi all, i am hunting for them now

i can't take all the credit, but glad you got it!
I have et8 and co8 help with last 8 pls

ty Leigh and Sophie
molly has a fan club?
molly has good babblets in her profile
ah yes
peri, primary, secondary, and then te 8
Molly revealed her babblets, definitely a fan
THANK YOU LEIGH
It's weird I played this game 10+ years ago, and it made me so happy to see it still exists. The Internet and mobile apps weren't so much a thing back then
xo
it is basically unchanged in all that time, though the culture of the game in re: clueing has changed a lot over that time.
three still to go
12 left here but I have decided to use the lickety list for those
I'm stuck on ET 8
sophie it's a list ender that personally, i always thought was two words growing up
Same Sophie
think latin
it's 2 words that are latin or latin based that are usually written as an abbrev.
ah, so i'm not that crazy, hokie!
nope
I got the Et word with that clue, but I can't see how it connects in the puzzle
Thanks hokie
wow, thanks for the help Carla and Leigh
ok, now I'll be awake looking up a song with that word in it
There is no way you can make that word in puzzle
Never mind
Spelling it wrong lol
I'm sure this is going to go on all day about the et8, but it can be spelled both ways. Two words or one.
No n
woo hoo for Google..... it's from the King and I
I'm a stupid c 4/6
lol
And in those lyrics it is spelled as one word. The song is A Puzzlement.
To be fair, it's a nice word
I can't find either of the re7 ðŸ˜
NO 5 12 was used recently in a British cop show NOT a nice word
sorry, Carla, not on RE yet
that's the no i can't figure out
ON 4 put N in front
No5/12 is not a dirty word
it's kinda like the kid in the corner with the pointy hat on
oh wait i have that...what am i missing?
it just means a stupid person in UK I think
of course nothing in the def about that but I could swear I've heard british tv characters say it.
which N, leigh?
To the Brits no5/12 is a child molester.
oh it's the nu
there's nu6 that's a rodent
I swear, I cannot keep up with all the differences in Brit vs American English. I'm about to give up on a book I'm reading because I feel like I'm translating in my head as I go along. "She took her rucksack (backpack) out of the boot (trunk)"....
lol
it's fascinating to me how different it is
I know the nu6 because I have a Louisiana cookbook with nu6 recipes in it. Uck.
that is gross
hang on, I'm still stuck on it, NU
kinda sounds like nu words that are in food
got it, yuck
thanks, moving on to O
now just down to those pesky RE7s
re 7: to say something under your breath again
ok, I'll skip down and help you (time out for laughter)
I grew up in Houma, La (between New Orleans and Lafayette). Although Cajuns routinely eat things that most other people wouldn't, I don't know of anyone who eats NU6. Wearing their pelts is a different story (but rarely ever needed down there). I'm wondering if those entries in that cookbook aren't just meant as a joke...
yeah, like possum recipes in an appalachian cookbook
I mean maybe those aren't a joke either. but I wouldn't eat it.
the other re 7 (i think babble ate my post), take the te 8 and cut the first letter and flip the next two
ty for the nu. i didn't get it but i never heard of that word before!
thank you. looked up the first one and now get the clue. the 2nd one was throwing me because I couldn't remember finding a word about mumbling and I was wrong about the 3rd letter.
you should google the nu6, it's kinda ugly
I only learned it sometime in the last 10 years and I don't rem. how/why. maybe when we went out west. anyhoo, apparently it is from south america and it an invasive species here in US.
you're not making a good case for googling. ha!
Leigh, thanks for that RE clue
down to 10
Fireworks!
Anyone need a clue?
Et8 please?
it is usually found at the end of a list of examples and abbreviated to its first 3 letters
Think The King and I, Une.
Love your babblet list, Molly - especially since you took the time to add the meanings of the words. Thanks :)
stats for N in middle of bottom row
play on being flat broke ;)
i saw a documentary on nu6 LA. they are promoting bbq nu6 and using the fur in fashion. they are destryoing th envirnoment on the bayous.
if you;ve ever seen them up close they are disgussting, but people i the program liked their taste.
My mom lives on a small lake, and they hired someone to trap and remove them. They erode the shoreline...very destructive.
fur? wouldn't think anyone would wear it anymore. now have to find what the nu.
oh got it. yuck.
but still, wearing an animal?
that's the idea...make the pest useful. who sould object except the most rabid animal activists? hobsons's choice
so many people who make their living on the water- or rely on it for their food- are hurting.
so when we kill them we should just throw them out?
In Washington state they are listed as an "invasive species" and referred to as such. Makes it sound like the critters decided to invade. The truth is, fur breeders brought them to Washington in the 1930s to make money, with no thought to the environment. If you catch one live here, you are supposed to call fish and game for disposal, and not release it back.
how will they know who to spray with red paint? I didn't say not to kill them, as it seems a necessity. the wearing is just creepy to me. doesn't have to be to everybody.
yes, i heard that. i am close to the bayou culture and there is real suffering. they are trying to use the meat and pelt to offset their loss. i think it's their decision; wheter or not the uses work, they will see. people do wear fur around the globe.
i get it, i get it. not arguing the point, just personal opinion about wearing rodents. not demanding anyone agree with my off-the-cuff reaction.
it is an interesing program. i think it's part of PBS independent lens series if anyone is interested.
this grid is interminable...
TO, I recently discovered the WildEarth channel. They broadcast live 24/7 from Africa and nature and animal experts give the commentary. They drive around a preserve until they spot something, then stop and film and educate. Viewers can text questions to them. It's a fascinating watch.
That's me done -- back to writing -- have fun all :) *poof*
stuck on the very last re7
Want a clue?
hey pen, dan
pen, I am stuck 4 pts away from genius
yes please pen
Good wordfinding!….i am just at amazing….how many words are there?
Dan….to say something again…..
aha! did I mention I hate re words?
thanks pen and lickety and all cluers - firewords
Yw…
well done! hate re words too.
not wild about de or un either.
have prefix-lexia.
I am not fond of them either…
There is a really dumb un 6 in the grid today….
Thanks for et8!!
6 re words left to find
Most are words we see here often enough….
and done
Congrats!
sorry, pen. was doing a sudoku. there are 22 words and I have 16.
well done, peri
I have 16 words, too, but I am ten points from Genius…..
hmm, so I must have missed some shorter ones but I really can't see anything else.
And I must have missed a longer one or two…..
well, I only have the pangram and one other 7 letter one, the rest are 4 and 5.
Mine are all fours and fives except for the pangram….
THE BEE! discussion
I might just have to live with Amazing tonight
Carla you are like the Queen of Internet Word Games
I will live with Amazing as well….Amazing is not too bad… ;o)
I think some of my UN guesses should have been accepted….they were better than the dumb un 6 word in this grid!
very true
all statements below😜
Well i am heading out two watch the olympics….goodnight all….
we're watching right now! good night
I am probably in the minority who has no interest in the Olumpics.
Or the Olympics
well, I don't find that surprising at all, M.
hehe, I don't either
Hehe
well i am stuck. any clues for any 7s welcome. also missing the 8s, the 9 and 10. and several tiles. this is not an easy grid for me.
co9...incarcerated person + middle
ty!
convict notin grid. hmmmm
dont see liar, murderer, thief, etc. struggling.
think abbreviated version of word, mkg
thinking. ty. middle is i guess what i am missing.
ty
i got it!!!!!!!!!!! ty. and the 7 too. ty. great clue.
so any ideas on the 11?
oh gee the 11 aND 8 IS A CO WORD TOO. wow. clues welcome please. ty.
is the 11 a musical instrument? just curious.
struggling
mkg, it would be helpful if you refrained from posting things like "i got it!!!!!!!!!!!" It can blow the chat width
It would take a lot more exclamation marks to do that, I think
The co11 is not a musical instrument. As someone said earlier, if you just FOCUS you will get it.
I haven't counted, but it is something like 26 letters/marks without a break that causes the chat to bust. That is why tiny url is encouraged for posting links
The letters vary in width, and exclamation marks are very narrow. If she were posting a lot of 'W's in a row, that would be more concerning.
Anyway, she was well short of 26
fabulous clue gillie. ty
i did get it.
what does it mean to blow the chat width? i dont get it.
well just missing an 8. so clues welcome. ty. also missing the bottom row O words. otherwise done. ty. so any help welcome.
Sometimes the chat expands beyond its normal width to accommodate very long text without a break, and after that it is necessary to scroll sideways to read everything.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\n!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
65, I believe
gee i never had that happen to me. i use apple. maybe that is why. anyway i will watch those ex. points. my chat did not change with your post.
And it was a little too long - sorry about that Molly
38 before it inserted the '\n' character
desperate for the o words bottom o. any clues welcome. ty.
i just got one o word for that o so i am done. ty for all the super clues.
bbtomorrow
Molly was being hysterical, mkg.
help with my last 7 - RE &/32
To speak again
thnx - finally got back after dinner - and that is ** finito **
hysterical?
