I just don't inderstand that entire statement.
My take is that it's on Lickety's list, but there is no definition when you click on the ? next to the word.
On the clue page there are links to 4 letter, 5 letter etc word lists. There are words there that don't work in the grid. That's all I'm saying and it seems odd.

I figure A to Z lists are likely newer (or more frequently updated) than Enable, which is what this game uses, and not even the newest version of Enable at that.

it would just make fiscal sense too: it's not like the government doesn't then shoulder the costs of underfed kids, whether directly or indirectly. Worse educational outcomes, worse health outcomes, worse job prospects, increased crime rates, depreciated assets, and so on and so on. But it's much easier to pretend you're saving money than acknowledging that by not spending a little now you're spending a LOT more later

Lindy, so happy for you, my girl is a rescue, too, it has taken her a long time.... I've had her 2 of her 4 1/2 years.....to come out of her shell, but she's a happy girl now
we've adopted a lot of dogs & cats over the years. plus when I was much younger I adopted a mustang through the government program, so I am used to training all kinds of animals.
I would dearly love to have a cat again, but at my age it isn't fair to adopt a kitten and older cats that aren't disease ridden and used to being an indoor cat are hard to come by
I follow several nearby pet rescues and see lots of cats and kittens available all the time. Don't give up looking if that's what you want!
I just adopted another Labrador.. so I hope I outlive them
