I always try ayer, like one who says aye. I wish I would eventually learn it's not a word.
i do too
found 1 more, will return there later,,,
I just have one E missing
well, I have enough a's to move on
to the next A 😡
noogie is not a word
I know, that's BS
the next A is easier

Tx for shoe clue!
some o those sciencey i words today
of course

and another. moving on!
well there's your problem
you give up so quick
use the sometimes vowel
halfway
well, my first pass objective is to get at least half. it's nice to gray it, but when I spend too long on one it's annoying.
90%!
woot!
I have 3 of those i's so moved on.
i just find if i take a bit longer on the first pass, i do a lot better at finding more of them on my own
yes, but you're much better
plus, i know it's a good habit to get in, to be persistent and not in a hurry
I usually do a pass, but today I just went random
well, i suspect you could be better than you think you are lol

I'm watching a very exciting tour de france stage
Aw, the Tour de France reminds me of Ruby. We miss you Ruby!
**Hurshy also thinks that word does not mean what you think it means
what, exciting? she watches formula one or some racing that no one knows
no one in america that is :)
i think molly was riffing off my "i suspect" statement?
Getting a thunderstorm here. Yea!
wow, just partly cloudy here
sunstorm here
no snow, moo?
not today, we're in our three month window of no snow
I laugh every time this english guy says "finishing line"
I'm going to start using that like maths and rubbish.
yeah, I have stopped using maths, but do still use rubbish
not sure I ever used finishing line
i read and watch so much british stuff that sometimes i lose track and forget that like americans don't necessarily call their doctor their GP
or their politicians MPs?
or the physical therapist is the physio. I laugh when Johnny Mc says that in tennis. I'm like, you're an american!
no, that one is easy to remember as our politics in the US is always in our faces
heh
5-5-5-2
22-19-13-11-2
I have 0-0-1-1-0
:O ooh bea you are so close
BB with a substantial lead over the pack
one time I read this blog post by someone from UK who had traveled the US and she was complaining about our use of "awesome" and how the word doesn't mean how we use it. It's literally the exact same as their usage of the word "brilliant".
the i words are still bugging me, 3 more of them to go
S 6 and 7
120 here. less than a mile from the finishing line.
i think i have what you need bea!
there's a short episode in the bible with Sa6 women
stuck on the right side i, only have 1
Carla, did you use the sometimes vowel with the sciency word?
the sa6 is also the name of a fabulous woman driver from germany who sadly died of cancer
I have those
yes, thanks, actually found that one on my own once I knew there were sciency words
oh, well, nvm then
have you got so7/36
No
:D
Gs Grounded!
on right side i I only have UK spelled io word
there's some normal ig words
lol, just saw those
5 of fewer of every tile :)
there is an in7 there
made it to 4th row at least
hmmmmm
thanks, monkeyed it!
this is an awkward grid
I thought I was just awkward
well you may or may not be, but this grid is
only have 4 grey tiles (aside from the freebies)
I also have 4 gray, and I'm not even putting in the effort per some 🤣
perhaps I'm the awkward one?
🤔
5 greys
way to step it up
I'm stuck.
ikr?
still 2 bea, or 1?
have you tried olive oil BB?
two so's a 6 and a 7
just now got to the S. I'm sure I will not find them either.
you have the double vowel ending 7?
six greys!
next level
oh, I passed halfway at some point. 92 left.
I'm in the zone...or perhaps a zone....maybe zone-adjacent
38 left here
Thanks, mool
13-10-8-5-2
yw B
I do not have the double vowel ending so7 if someone wants to share a little clue.
this one seems hard to me or I am really tired lol
it is a bit hard
yeah, I heard it
It's french for well groomed
so6.24 and so7.36
lol, somehow I got it from that, thx bea
Later all
bye bea, have a good one
finally made it back to the bottom O. now to find those OBs
found some. HOET!
65 left though
good morning everyone :)
hey nan
well just got incredibly lucky with my 2nd guess on wordle
haven't gone there yet this am
looks like another one full of words we've never seen before
yeah, I may dislike this one more than yesterday's
have nbt, but no 8's and a lot of tiles with just one word
no 8s here, but I do have HOET
only have the io 6 for the right i and io 4 for the left
eeny isn't a word anymore?
don't think it's ever been accepted
back later - too tired for this
Have NBT and NBS, but this HOET is proving difficult today.
yes, I needed help on a few.
200!
it's funny how even at this point, like, the 200th word i put in was an easy 4 that idk why i hadn't gotten earlier
Congratulations Carla. I see everyone has jumped on the HOET bandwagon.
it's a good metric!
I know you are secretly doing it
not even to 100 yet but then doing it on my breaks lol
Nope, not secretly doing it. It means nothing to me whether I get half on each tile or not.
My last word was se6/24 which is ironic, because I obviously WASN'T. Anyone need/want a clue?
hagd, all!
Since I no longer chat regularly, it took me forever to figure out what HOET even was since it came into being during one of my longer periods away from Babble.
Hey Crossy! Good to see you here
Howdy, Maty, nice to see you as wel. 🙂
well, crossy, I just invented it a year or so ago and only a few people use it. ðŸ˜
Excuse the typos. I have the settings set to prevent accidental presses on my tablet.
I’ve aimed for HOET for years. I start at the top left corner and try not to move on to the next tile until I’ve got half
Customizing the way Babble is played is as individual as the people who play it--it is what makes it fun.
hi, babblers
Best ten dollars I ever spent. 🙂
Howdy, Welk.
Welki
well, I didn't invent getting half, just the acronym
It is al good. I
ITt is all god. I will roll with it. Like "pulling a Peri"
Damn typos.
help with lone O please
no 8s and only 3 of the 7's
hi all
nm
are you never minding the "hi all"?
oh, I see the request for the O now
another tough grid for me
you're not alone. still have 63 left, just looking every so often
100 left here but did more errands today
just found 2 of the 7's
I have 9 7s and 0 8s
I have 5 7's and 0 8s
there is an er8 but I do not have it
according to early chat that is. don't know what the other 8 starts with
oh yes, I saw it mentioned earlier, I think ER7/6/8, but couldn't find them.
found them!
we've had similar words before spelled with an i in there instead of the y
found the er6/7
got the er8
the 8 is just a different way to pluralize
so weird how that post popped up after mine but shows before it
92 left bbl
what does the other 8 start with please
do not know that
ok
I will list soon
the other 8 is ag8/50
ty Mary
I have two ag7
does the ag8 start the same?
No it is bore the two 7's that you have. It is ag7/36 and 8/50 plural.
not bore should be before"
ty I will keep looking
I got them ty Mary
hello again
hi nan
a clue for the in 7 please?
I don;t have it nan
I am making up words here and they are accepted
has to be a strange one - as are so many of these -- thankful for lickety's list so I am at least able to monkey some of them
70 left will list soon
lots of stranges ones lately
will let you know if I find it
as I said yesterday Noah Webster would be spinning in his grave if he could see some of the spellings
bbl to finish
Ita
I need the in7 too.....
RR I OO
found the o's
i + negative + location
ty nan
Tx!!
*!*~*!* tough grid
Congrats!
any clues wanted before I leave?
hagd everyone :)
Have any of you babblers hired a book editor before? Advice?
What kind of book? Fiction, Nonfiction, collection of essays, etc?
It's non-fiction. Here is the synopsis: Campbell weaves a stunning account across decades of her life, struggling to recover from relentless and complex trauma. Written with raw honesty, the book traces her journey from seemingly unrelated childhood behaviors, through traditional counseling, cognitive behavioral, EMDR, 12-Step, and experiential therapies. Along the way, she examines current and historical perspectives into child abuse, depression, and trauma. true. asks a fundamental question: how do we know our true self? (Cheery, right? LOL!)
There's a website where you can hire book editors, so I'm wondering if anyone here has done that before.
{ crickets }
Afternoon Everyone
Hi, Christa and all
Hi all - any help with the SO 6/7?
I found the 6, but the 7 doesn't seem to be the plural. The definition is, "dressed very well, elegantly"
ah, double the last vowel.
A lot of my friends are book editors and I've done a bit of it myself. But there are 4 levels of book editing - Copy Editing. Copy editing is the most common (and most necessary) type of editing. There is also Developmental Editing. Developmental editing includes co-ordinating and overseeing a project from start to finish. There is also Substantive Editing and just plain Proofreading. Some types of editing cost more than others.
Also line editing, which is what I tend to do.
I changed my icon to July..about time since the month is nearly half gone
as usual it didn't work..still showing June
I'm seeing July
hi westy. i'm seeing the patriotic cat.
