my brother and I were talking about that the other day. we did not have AC. there was one upstairs room that used to get super hot
when I was in 10th they opened a middle school (6-9) and attached it to the HS with a cafeteria. that school had AC, so lunch was a cool break. also the foreign language teachers were in the other school so I got to go there for Spanish.
we have a second bulding with a/c, but our school is shrinking so they rented it to the district for 5 years and combined us all in the older building

also we had a separate band building that was newer, so it had AC, and I always did band.
I went to grade school in a building that was built pre- central air. It had window units though.

I come from a country with more than two parties and our government just fell for the nth time in a decade

i suppose there are pros and cons to both two-party and multi-party situations
I feel that the most honest way is a healthy primary system. Vote and campaign hard for the best candidate that represents you and then vote for the least evil of the two options in the general. Rinse and repeat.
