Westminster Abbey is like a church/palace
I think surreal is a word that is over used but for us Brits this is surreal, Cant really believe it. I was 12 when she came to the throne so she seems to be a permanent fixture in our lives
imagine buil;ding that abbey with only the most rudimentary tools every moulding ever decoration hand carved and the height of it. And i lived and worked in London for 60 years and never visited it
Washington National Cathedral is like that
The Abbey is older though
1000 years old
Wow, it took 38 years to build it
Such a beautiful service...
orps

that made the hairs go up on my neck hearing her personal piper fading off into the distance
Question for Brits, why wrer Charles and William not singing God Save The Queen?
it was God Save the King so Charles doesnt sing to himself dont know about William
It was god save the king
Ah I see. I thought it was one, final God Save The Queen

I live about 5 miles from Windsor, but, like (I'd guess) everyone else here, I'm watching it all on telly
Closer as the crow flies (the pesky river gets in the way when you're driving)
I can't believe how many people are lining the streets to see the coffin mobile
Some of the villagers are running a little ferry service across the river, in aid of (I think) the Alzheimer's Society
Well, they'll never see the likes again
About 3 miles as the crow flies
How do people in the UK feel about the new king?
At the moment, I think they're respectful and he's been helping out by walking about and speaking with some of the public queuing for the lying in state. In general, I think some are dubious. But it's early days yet
'morning, folks - everyone sing the theme song from the jetsons! his boy, -----, is in the grid :D
Daughter Judy, Jane, his wife
Not a lot of words to remember in that one
Florists in London must be making a killing what with all the flowers being flung as the coffin mobile drives by.
Only time will tell as to how the people feel.....
As long as they give him a fair chance.
Most definitely sukee!

Fulsom Street? a US city's version of the red light district in Amsterdam?
Sorry
I just looked at the web site. Now we have to be "inclusive" of the kink, leather and bondage communities? Will they start showing up on our TV shows?
it's a ya gotta go once to see it kind of thing.. it's about as weird as it gets
I don't really think a display of depravity is anything I would cross the street to look at! Sorry!
it's kind of like going to Fisherman's Wharf for people into leather and studs :D
Nope, not seeing Nan participating. Not in a million years. Take her to a curling match instead. Those are her kind of big, beefy men.
with brooms
Speaking of big beefy men, I have never seen a big ass quarterback get dumped as many times as Wentz did yesterday. The Redskins should be ashamed of themselves. What a terrible game.
he's not a great quarterback. he just doesn't have what it takes
Well, yesterday he didn't have any protection.
he had a lot of protection in Philly.. it didn't make any difference
