she is doing ok. she's not been interested in breakfast yet. groggy from meds still.
Poor girl.
I'll have to tempt her with something because she has 2 meds to take after a meal.

yes, I think so. she would not settle at all yesterday with the cone on, so I took it off her, and then she slept a lot. she never tried to lick the incision, so I left it off overnight even.
She can hop on 3 legs to go outside?
I am keeping a close watch on her. She is just 2 steps away in her comfy bed, where she usually is every day.

gonna be trying to figure out today what all to move there.
how does she feel about it?
well, she has been saying for a couple of years she would never go to one, but I tried not to use the words "assisted living" and it is really nice, way nicer than a nursing home. may have to move her again in a month if she doesn't start doing better on her transfers because it will get too expensive if she has to have 2 people.
I think she knows there is no way for her to go home right now.
will they give her OT for that?

she has gout in one foot that is really painful and we didn't know they hadn't tried treating it at this place.
has she had gout before?
elderberry is a good natural treatment for gout.
she had it last fall for the first time, and this current bout started before she had the stroke because we thought that's why she fell. they did treat her for it in the hospital but it either never got better or came back.
I just got her some cherry juice yesterday. she had tried that over the winter and said it worked.
My mother used to take tart cherry juice for gout. It really helped her.
