I am listening to a fluoride varnish video as we will start applying this to young kids soon.
Scrabs, what is that?
When I actually have to watch the video I will switch over.
So many kids in the US do not see a dentist and cavities are far too common. Applying fluoride varnish can decrease tooth decay.
my kids got varnish so I am familiar (though that was at the dentist). when I was in elementary school they gave us fluroride at school. I feel like they were some kind of pellets you add to water, but I don't recall exactly.

Is the varnish the same as sealants?
not exactly. the varnish is painted on and they would get it at every visit (so 6 months). they would not brush that night.

Fluoride used to be applied as a gel but the varnish is more effective.
pretty sure my kids had the gel. one had lots of cavities, the other almost none
I feel like one of my kids had one cavity. meanwhile, I had at least one in every molar. and I had sealants in some of those but they don't last forever.
Our biggest concern is being so close to a kid taht might have COVID. A new surge has started.
I had many cavities but my kids have had none, despite non stellar tooth brushing (I have to nag and remind them morning and night)

I hated toothpaste because I said it was "hot"

I had a steroid injection for that maybe 8 yrs ago.
I've had one. It helped but i decided to move through the pain.

Well, at age 63 my shoulder was not 100% pre-injury. So after injuries, surgery, and PT I might get to 75-80.
I feel very close to pre-injury.
Ok. Close to pre-injury is good. At our age, anything that’s not a backwards step is good. Well done you & may your recovery continue. ðŸ‘
