nbt, nbs, dh 7
same here
ty rain
Want a clue for the dh 7 ?
I found it
You're welcome Marksdolly
but thank you, perhaps it will help me over that wall LOL
Yes, it's just playing around with a word most people probably know.
I can't seem to find anything for the bottom A
i only have ag 4/6
that's all I came up with as well
ty - at least I have that now
And I'm down to 30 left, which will do for tonight, I think
18 here
i think those will wait till morning

Of course, more ridiculous currency words.
the ag 6/24 is the former currency of Israel
It's interesting the way people react to things. I'm all "oh cool, new words!" when I learn a new one. Variety os the spice of life, I s'pose
My favorite new word is supercilious
Mine is querulous. It's fun to say.
how many dh words are there?
5
I have left, middle and right columns grey
eek, 5? I've got 2
thanks luv
5? Darn it, I'm missing one.
There it is! Thanks luv
ohh, found all the 7s
thanks luv
I'm still missing 2
do you have the 6/7 combo?
or the 4/5 combo?
I bought a game off of Kickstarter ages ago, and got to play it for the first time on Monday night! It's called "Dialect - A game about language and how it dies" It was really interesting, and we're going to play it again in a few weeks! Yay!
I need the 6/7 combo
change the spelling of the lone 5
double vowel in the middle
sounds interesting for us word freaks Samantha
thanks that got me the 6 but not the 7 - not plural
Yeah, those of us who played it walked out with a sparkling new private vocabulary
aw found it
The seven is the one I needed too. Just add a vowel.
thanks
Anyone have the lone I in the upper right?
ir4
D'oh! Thanks mael
it's a sneaky one!
Mael never misses those plant words
5 left :)
Fourteen here, and considering Lickety. Allthese vowels are killing me.
any clue what my missing O is? it's either a 5 or a 6
I'm missing the same one
or6
thanks ru, that's the one. looking
got it
Thanks ru!
FW!
last word was the h6 compound
Congratulations!
Can I get a clue for that one and the D7? They're my last two
Or just the Di7, now
pull up a plant
See, like I said, the plant words 😊
That's fireworks. Thanks so much mael and ru; I couldn't have done it without you.
heh molly
you're welcome, samantha!
She couldn't have done it without yoy mael

more non-words today - words without any results in dictionary.com
Dictionary.com isn't comprehensive (or even always reliable, especially when it comes to giving examples of use), just free and convenient. Generally if you Google a word that it doesn't have, another dictionary will turn out to have a definition, including some better known and respected dictionaries in some cases.
Which isn't to say that the Enable word list doesn't contain some very suspect entries
And of course it has many words that don't seem very current, even if they once were in use - although it can be hard to be sure, given that English is used differently in a great many parts of the world
the ag 6 and 7. Old Israeli money
Don't have those yet - but I'll look - thanks!
Not from the Garden of Eden
Actually - it isn't "old" Israeli money, but a current denomination of the new shekel, according to Wikipedia
(that's the ag6 - the ag7 looks like it probably shouldn't be in the list)
Actually, I guess the ag7 is an alternative spelling of ag6 - and both are plural
just starting but something tells me I should be paying attention to this.
yeah, I got nothin
I'm guessing you add the h after the g for the alt sp but maybe that's where I'm going wrong
hi ho
howdy hurshy
how's sherlokie today? lol
fine, did a mountain bike ride and am now tired and hungry
how's hurshy today?
am fine
oh, last col gray out of order
top row and right col grey!
Hi carla - you do add an H, actually, just not where you thought!
hmm
thanks for setting me straight
name that proper noun! 90s fictional prodigy, super young doctor
doogie
almost howser
ding ding ding!!!
ugh, 3 dh words so far, hope there aren't more
oh, I only found 2
Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but there are 5 dh words
ugh.
And there's a dh 6/7 combo
thanks sam
it's times like these that i am super grateful for Morewords
phantom: risotto
well, just need those A's on the bottom for HOET so I may have to hit bestwordlist
very archaic currency from Israel.
yeah, I picked up that much from the chat, but does nothing for me
do we know what the third A from there is?
ag4
ah thanks
so, bestwordlist says the ag6 is a plural of the greek marketplace, no mention of israeli currency
no, that's a different word, not in this grid
makes sense, though it feels more semitic.
thanks!
I'm just telling you what the website says
It's actually modern currency. You can read about the 10 ag6 conspiracy theory if you like, but that's from the 90s.
:)
that doesn't make sense, greek plurals do not end with T
oh, plural, gotcha
name that proper noun! hair regrowth treatment marketed to men
Hebrew masculine plural
Rogaine!
ding ding ding!!!
bottom row greyed :)
name that proper noun! one who sings with blowfish
Hootie
ding ding ding!!!
all edges grey!
anyone know if there are gh words?
or a gh word, i should say
No
ok good
hello everyone :)
rehi
surprise!! the first word I found is Spanish
of course I didn't see that
top row gray!
if there's no such thing as a throg, then why is there a bridge made of its neck?
I have no idea what you're talking about
Me either
maybe dr who or star trek
The derivation is weird! How they got "Throggs Neck" from Throckmorton is . . . questionable.
There is a place in the Bronx called Throggs Neck
ok
and a bridge, the throgs neck bridge
so ag, dh, ti, what 7 am i missing?
those are the 3 I have
ti 7
di
I don''t hav the ti, but do have the other two.
the ti is the most regular one
Wait, sorry, di 7
thanks molly and sam!
thanks, that DI was easy.
down to 6 but gtg, ttfn!
lol, of course I can't see it
It was my last word and I had to get a clue!
once I saw the prefix it was the first thing I tried
not seeing any of the 7's
So you didn't need a clue!
what do you do when you turn a screwdriver right, nan?
I know, it's a babble miracle, molly
Is this like how many Nan's does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
I turn it to the right
I'm just waiting for nan to say she doesn't own any screwdrivers or ever use one.
oh, that ti7 should have been obvious, but alas.
thanks!
And what is that doing to what you are turning Nan ti7
np
only when I have to and then I'm most likely to cross thread something
ty - thought I was looking for a di
You can loosen the screw by turning it to the left, nan, or you can ti7 the screw by turning it to the right
There is a di7
there's also a di but you said you didn't have any 7s so I clued the easiest. (I thought)
probably is carla
the di ends with what trees put in the ground
never actually heard anyone ever use it
Usually uses the up prefix
ty -- maybe it means cutting them off rather than pulling them out, which would begin with up
the def says up
It's the good old/ancient Enable list
I think there are too many unnecessary words being added to the English language
I think they should get rid of all the archaic ones
I agree Nan
(a sure sign that I am getting old, I know)
Are you yelling at kids to get off your lawn? 😊
so ag and dh now -- have the ag 6 is the 7 related?
You mean get them out of Enable? I don't even know what would mean to get a word out of the language!
Yes, nan, just add a letter
add a cons to the end
ty sam and carla
I mean make a dictionary of archaic words so they aren't lost to history and can be referenced if necessary for reading old documents, but remove anything that says archaic out of the regular dictionaries
not even going to look for the dh --- was happy to have found the boat
same here. found the boat and looked up the other 3
The dh 6/7 combo is related to the dh 5, if it helps
And I've got to run, just looked at a clock! Bye for now
bye!
only dh 5 I have is a plural - boats
and this clue is not for nan, but anyone else...the dh7 is d + h6 and the blowfish
my guess would be an indian word
lol carla - ty
don't tell me you knew that one. :D
not quite from the dark ages!
the 6 is drop a letter, and the 5 is drop a letter in the middle
yes got those too
where did molly go??
actually recognize the 5 now that I see it - a garment of some sort I think
Get a word out of the language!
a loincloth
stats for the corner i please?
ah there she is. molly, I wanted you to see nan got a pop culture clue.
Nan knows Darius Rucker, who knew?
i4/5
heard of it - no clue what it is -- a cartoon, musical group, musical group that is a joke?
Oh my
no, a pretty popular musical group from the 90s
Sponge Hootie and The Blowfish
ty carla
I bet Nan knows who The Barenaked Ladies are
doubtful
too new for me -- only new music that I like is what Webber composes or something similar
Blue Rodeo?
ever seen the tv show Big Bang Theory, nan?
not a western music fan -- most of it is too twangy for me
yes - watched it for one season on and off
Blue Rodeo is not western, but they are Canadian.
I do not know Blue Rodeo
Barenaked Ladies did the theme song for Big Bang Theory
(along with other music)
I only know them because I was married to a Canadian
don't remember it
phantom hoosegow
thought it opened with some kind of rap think about the big bang theory
*thing
Okay, Nan watched Big Bang Theory. That's pretty pop culture. I didn't even watch that.
not really rap but yes
not really music either
https://tinyurl.com/5n8znzxt
getting my hair cut in an hour, so had better put some lunch together -- later :)
bye
I would say that's not not music
hi ho
or 6/21, pls
sells like something you might get after straining to pass gold (in spanish)?
sells-sounds
hi again :) New hair cut and guaranteed rain by getting a car wash ...
ty mool
that clue went over my head
th 6/21, pls
pl. th 5/12
sorry, need the first one
only one I have
ty anyway
Ends with two vowels
did you get that or 6 bichon?
the th6 is a plural of an element
I think
ty gillie
well it appears not to be an element but it is a compound of two elements - plural
Not a plural, I think, but an alternate name
oh, you're right Gillie, thought it was just the plural of the element, but it's a compound that contains the element
still not getting it
Or the di 7...
The th6 has much more in common with the word following it than the word before, as far as spelling goes
The di7 could mean to be used to pull a weed up out of the ground, maybe?
Got the th6, thx
*could mean to pull up...* (switched wording part way)
The di7 is an alternative version of a word starting with "up"
ty Gillie, fw
Congrats!
or 6 please - that spanish gold clue didn't help me
Well, it gave me the first three letters, and MoreWords gave me the rest ("---s of March")
136 :) ty gillie
Congrats - almost done here, too
want any clues?
Just one now - I'll figure it out
bye everyone :)
Got it (wo6) - new word for me, but not hard to monkey
bye nan
bwahaha at moo's gold clue
think I need to list for these last 9
hi all. need any 7 please. not seeing them. ty.
