not a fair comparison... I'm dogged about my first pass and won't let myself move to the next tile till I'm down to 1 or 2 left... so my first pass can take a long time
and can be grueling
others are probably kinder to themselves :)

yes, but it's easier for me because if I don't do that I end up trying the same word about 30 times
I go until I don't see any and then if I'm not half on the tile I look until I get half or give up and then move on.
