if I play at the flip I'm on my ipad and only see the chat if I type in it. that said, I decided last night I was not looking any more because easy words are spoiled. I don't mind ridiculous words, but don't need clues for regular words.
and obvi not hurshy but it seems anything goes now. I do occasionally say I can't find anything on a tile and someone will give a nudge, which I totally appreciate, but some clues are thrown out without anyone asking.
I don't look at the flip until after I have found all the big words because I like to find them on my own. I don't mind clues when they are asked for. But blurting seems like bragging to me.
you know I never GATBO on my own so seeing the stats only doesn't really do anything to help me. I only look at the flip if I'm stuck.
Flip-time for me is 06.00am. So on my WFH days & if I’m awake early, I am there. The norm is that only 7+ words are called. One day recently, one of the usual ‘flippers’ got cross that the chat was being used for…..well…. Chat.

I don't even remember there being a standby line for that when I was there, and it was pretty dead. but I can't ride those types anyway, so I didn't really try.
My SIL has the Genie. What a rip off! We waited in line for G of G. Mom was in a scooter so it was not big deal.
yeah, it was definitely a ripoff when I was there. I could imagine it being worth it in super busy times, but I think they raise the price then, so maybe not.
SIL doesn't see that its a rip off. He just wants to ride the rides quickly and get on to the next one.
They are big Disney fans. This was their 3rd time at DW and the also did a Disney cruise last year.
