In all fairness, despite having a foot, as it were, in both the US and the UK, I couldn't name many state governors
Neither can I and I have both feet in the US. I only need to keep up with who my State governor is.
I was raised in NY, went to college in Oregon, my folks lived (and my brother still lives) in Pennsylvania, and I couldn't name any of the governors (unless one of the Cuomos is governor of NY? I should look it up)
But, as most of you no doubt know, I've been in the UK for 36 years
Our governor (although born in Maryland) is a Rhodes Scholar. I like him.
