of course we have. It is just enable that is stoopid.
fireflies. Too many vowels today!
oh and the final 7 is as7, in case anyone wondered. *poof*
its a bit like Old Macdonald e-i-e-i-o
Morning all. Does anyone have stats for the lone O in the top row, please?
sorry don't have that one.
oi5/12
Looking!
Thank you Molly!
hello all
hello
hey, kiani, how's it going?
migraines have been bad lately. Making work difficult
boo to that
been learning Java which has been interesting
nice, is that for work or just for fun?
fun
mostly for modding stuff but I've been branching out past that to understand it better
following some tutorial/self-study classes
and been having great success with Copilot helping me troubleshoot errors
good for you!
I'm not loving this board today
me either. also they clearly haven't watched Doctor Who
I know, right?
doesn't seem that bad to me
Me either. Compared to some of the nasty ones we've had lately.
I just don't love so many vowels
yeah.. i hear that
This grid needs a vowel movement
so far the three right columns greyed out
ugh, completely forgot about that ai like we had yesterday.
second last word. ended with the first ae.
have a great day, all!
Not sure what that means "ended with the first ae"
I would guess that her last word was the first ae word
It reads like her second last word ended with the first ae
hello
hola
the ai word was the second last word I found. the first ae word was the last word I found. sorry for confusion.
Hey, mael.
can you give a clue for the lone O?
oi5/12 I had to monkey it
oi and spanish for day
thx ruru
oinod
mayo again today
Sorry!
that was at least creative stephie :D
haha, was wracking my brains for spanish day and as soon as I entered that, my childhood exams came flooding back to me!

I actually had a delicious gyro at a small greek place named Opa! yesterday and it was delicious
Was it delicious?
rso delicious I had to type it twice
Double D
Any clues for the i words for fourth column i? Ty
in5 and 6
i think one of the 4th column I is an in4
morning all
yes, the singular is from the other I....
so In 6 (the plural) is from the fourth column along with the in 4....
hi hursh....
Well, mkg is multi tasking again. She hasn't seen the first clue.
true.. ;o)
Good morning, hurshy. Things looking a bit brighter this week?
not yet
and even once things are sorted, i'm apprehensive about starting the new thing and having a fuller schedule
I'm sorry.
i just suck at life basically
You do not!
It will all work out.
yeah, i do
the medical system has been messed up since the pandemic...not your fault that they didn't get you the blood test results sooner...
i know that, i just ... i've never been able to work full time and not be miserable, that's the "sucking at life" part
just haven't found a job you enjoy?...
it's not even the jobs, it's the amount of time
it's too much, it doesn't leave enough time
It's just an internship, right? Or will it become a long term position?
weekends then become all about chores and i can't do social things without screwing up my sleep on weeknights
well i have learned that some chores don't have to be one as frequently as my mother thought...
it's just an internship, but i'll also be continuing my unrelated part-time job, hence adding up to a full time schedule, and of course the ultimate goal is to get a full time job and be able to support myself
As my daughter says, "Adulting sucks."
oh pen, i mostly just don't do them. yeah.
like it tends to make me feel that life is not worth living at all
perhaps you need to prioritize yourself and do some things you like on a regular basis...make sure you get xome exericise....it's good for your brain....
i just need to accept the possibility that i may not achieve happiness in my future
the majority of humans in history have probably not enjoyed their lives
i don't think that's a good option...
sometimes it just can't be helped
i think that most people find happiness in little everyday ways...not many people are just happy all the time...
i know but i think i will be unhappy almost all the time
I agree, pen.
I need to change over laundry.
namaste
bye Bea...
i got ey4/7 from the second row... anyone have other things from that E?
el5 and plural
how we think affects how we feel....you might want to check out this book... https://tinyurl.com/592tb4ke ... I haven't read it but I have read others by the same author, a well known psychologist (creator of rational emotive therapy)...
ahh yes, thanks mael
ty, mael...didn't have those...
i also agree with pen - happiness comes and goes, and isn't necessarily the opposite of sadness or feeling incomplete
i'd rather not talk about it any more
no problem...but do check out the book....
i get it, hurshy
i have to get going....bye for now....hang in there, hursh!
How we think definitely affects how we feel. Good advice Pen.
one left from each A tile, each S tile, and the N

hi all. hows the grid today?

I'm just getting on my second tile, but seems okay so far :)
2 left for me, feels like a Monday :)
go mael go
does the as7 sprite mentioned come from the top A or the bottom?
And by the way, that book Pen mentioned is life changing.
phantom: noodle
as7 comes from the bottom a
thanks welki
2 left for me now too

darn, i was hoping you'd ask for a clue :)
i'm sure people would love a clue if you have a good one lol
Add Spanish day to the as before it
(i will tell you it rhymes with groucho's song about a certain lady)
oh that garlic sauce again! gah

May I have that clue for the AS7, please?
starts like a computer coding system, ends in spanish day
Thank you!

Hey Hurshy, sorry to hear you're feeling rough - I know how it feels (feel it most days) - I've no advice or books for you, but virtual jedi hugs if you want them x
thanks matty, jedi hugs are better than advice anyway
I think Penquis was just trying to be helpful
Wasn't suggesting otherwise - I just don't have any *hugs*
I mean, I have no advice (and my advice sucks anyway) - hugs to all who need them - I didn't mean I have no hugs :)
i know penquis was trying to be helpful and i appreciate it
hurshy ty for a word i did not know ... as 7/36 ... took awhile to get the compute language clue ... it's the equivalent of binary code ....
The computer language actually has two i's on the end. The word in the grid is a plural of a botanical sac.
yeah that's why i said "starts like" it because it isn't all of it
mot getting the as7 even with clues
Actually the "computer language" is a standard for encoding characters numerically, not a really a language as such
peri --- the last three letters "ends in spanish for day" the as 4/5 are the first 4 letters ... you'll find as .. code in any computer reference manual ""stands for the "American Standard Code for Information Interchange". It was designed in the early 60's, as a standard character set for computers and electronic devices. ASCII is a 7-bit character set containing 128 characters."" i can't believe i'm this old .. i used it when it was new
gillie ... are you old, or do you just know stuff
well, both, I guess
are you still working ???? i'm lucky i've not been booted yet
not working right now
it's hard to find jobs when you're old ... i learned about 'age discrimination' in 2008
yeah, and the young 'uns tend to be more familiar with all the latest developments
there's plenty of cobol out there to be fixed ... don't give up ... i've leads if you need them
well, I never actually used cobol, but thanks
i work in adabas
years ago, a man wanted to train me informally in adabas and contract me out, but no formal training, and it would have meant weeks at a time away away home in Phoenix, so I passed
we'll train, if your analytical skills are good .. i'm sure you've got MF experience .. that's all there was back then
MF?
mainframe
yeah, a bit, but it's been a long time
don't matter .. if you can figure out problems ... good analysis .. we can use someone ... right now we've deadwood that just racks up time w/o doing much ... any financial experience ? btw my boss is from canada
I basically spent one summer working for him as a student, in Natural, and it was mostly accounting, but I really haven't done any since then. Mainly I've worked with oil and gas data.
Where is your boss based?
i used to work for sunoco .. doing financial .. now i'm in PHL ... he's from saskatchewan // natural is what we need ... it's very easy and most of all the work is analysis ... pay and benes are good
I'm rather shocked that no conversation in the last 5h.
