hello my dear friend *hugs* I am fine. Rob and I went out for dinner last night, to celebrate 28 years of marriage. It is on Friday but the restaurant is so popular, I had to make reservations where they had an opening. we had a lovely evening.

thanks :D I had chicken fillets, perfectly made, with a light curry sauce, fries, vegetables and a salad. Rob a tournedos. And I indulged in a cocktail and a dessert (panna cotta from white chocolate, with a compote of fresh strawberries)

it was. It is an amazing restaurant, great locale, awesome personel, the food is fantastic and the prices are so reasonable. It is no wonder they are booked solid.

I was just reminding one of my uncles that the reason gas was cheaper four years ago was that a thousand people a day were dying of COVID and people weren't actually driving places.

nope..in some ways feels like yesterday and yet also seems so very long ago and a bunch of lost years
so true! talked about that a lot with the kiddo actually - they "lost" a key year at the end of elementary, and got dropped right back into a huge middle school, not yet vaxxed. residual anxiety and trauma around starting the new high school experience, feeling unprepared, etc
but once it actually began, the anticipation anxiety disappeared pretty quick
