I have this boy in my reading group. Caya told me he is incredibly lazy, goes out of his way to avoid having to work. Yesterday he ASKED me if he could read to the group. Having been firm and encouraging with him has worked wonders.

I hope the specialist will take it seriously and order the cpap right away. Fingers crossed.
Rob will probably need to have a sleep study done. he goes to a 'clinic' overnight, were the first night they just observe and record any events. the second night, they put a CPAP on him, and pop in and out all night adjusting the air pressure until he stops obstructing.
he has done that years back too. Didn't work. He does not really sleep well there and doesn't exhibit the things that I recorded.
best you explain that to the specialist. he well insist on a second attempt for Rob. so don't be too disappointed, and angry with the specialist. they have a regime of things they have to check in order to prescribe a CPAP>

Thanks. It has been a very rough day. The house is too quiet, but at least my poor pup isn't suffering any longer. He was bleeding out internally. I'm so glad I was able to find out today and end his misery. He had been sick for several weeks and kept getting worse no matter what the vet tried.
Im sorry Kamanjah. These dogs leave very large holes in our lives and hearts. Sending love.
Thank you. I don't think I'll have another dog at my age. I started with this guy as a pup - I met him when he was 8 days old! He came home when he was 8 weeks. We had a lot of good times.
