hello everyone :)
hi nan
bit stuckish now with 4 to go, 3 sixes and a 7
have to say I sure hope Trump and Sanders are making a really wierd joke -- otherwise I can't imagine what makes them think Canada would ever want to join the States!
i think it's well established that they live in a world of delusion
anyone else having trouble with lickety's clues?
si7 is the last 7 and it is a weird one
have not tried lickety
likely loaded for me no problem.
and I'm in Virginia near DC in the US.
closed and reopened. all good here now.
I often wonder where squirrels live in America? In UK they live in a drey!!
like... i think they just live in trees?
but they have a comfy little hole in a tree. Thats a drey!!
The ones here, at least on the east coast, build large nests in the tops of trees.
there are ground squirrels, I forget if up north or in the west.
come on, fellow Brits, squirrels nest in a drey, dont they??!!
morning babblers
that matches my understanding of the squirrels in Britain, Deeha.
hello, sprite
hi seain!
okay, time for sleep. Happy babbling yall!
sweet dreams, seain
brb
A drey actually is just a squirrel's nest, which is generally in a tree, and may or may not be in a cavity. The word is used in North America, but evidently not as much as in Britain.
Unlike bird's nests, they're for shelter, not just for raising young

For those who are worried about Trump wanting to turn Canada into a U.S state I would not worry about it ever happening. He probably has not desire to dump that many liberal votes into the system, or to have only one state with universal healthcare.
If it was up to PP they’d go along with it.
Canada is still part of the Commonwealth - UK
hello all
cross ... i thought he wanted to buy greenland ... when did canada come into the picture ... we've alot to worry about here for the next 4 years
He threatened to take over Canada during talks about the tariffs recently I think!
Greenland was his previous term, I believe, though I'd be shocked if he knows the difference between Greenland and Canada
it was Greenland that Trump assumed he could buy gor minerals etc. Greenland is not for sale. The people were really angry about the whole thing.
Probably a strange experience to be told he can't buy something. Probably why he's threatening to take over Canada and not talking about buying it.
He threatened to crush canadaS economy, but not to take over it. not yet.
good morning everyone
hi mael, long time no see!
hi saanich!
I hope everything is well, besides the lunatic this country elected
That is a serious problem globally I think. OK here in this tiny corner though.

hey joy
hey carla!
how goes it?
pretty well. I'm still eating Thanksgiving leftovers, since 3 of our 5 guests got sick and didn't show. I'm not complaining, though.
lol, just finished my corn casserole last night
ooh that sounds good. We mostly have chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce left.
By the Tuesday after Thanksgiving we are all "leftovered out". I have to freeze some of the turkey soup and then we can be done with it for a while.
clue for the in6/7, please.
not coastal
Yeh, I froze a container of turkey soup yesterday, too, but the stuffing is so good I figured I could eat the rest of it.
once my kids left it was just us to eat the leftovers.
my stuffing tasted really weird so I threw it away
They don't take leftovers home with them?
they didn't go directly home, they went up to TN/VA then on to the VT/UVA game
Thanks, Carla. I knew it would be a simple one.
it was hard to see. and I was surprised when I tried the plural and it took.
Namaste

Yeah, let's make some ice cream when it's the coldest weather of the year. Yee-yah!
LOL, I bought a big thing of whipping cream last week and a gallon of whole milk, so I need to use it.
butter brickle tonight
I have a lot of whipping cream left over, so I just put some in a pan with a big spoonful of locally made Salsa Casera and poached a piece of fish in it. Served over brown rice. Eating it right now! :)
