my general strategy even as a native Enable speaker is to try everything pronounceable, just in case.
I think my approach is even broader. If it looks like it might possible be a word under enable rules, which do not include pronounceability, I will enter it. If I were to be rated by the number of correct words compared to the not valid ones I try, I would be so busted.

I used to watch The National on CBC every night. But it has gotten too grim.
I listen to BBC news on NPR and watch the news hour on PBS (when I'm watching the news).
unfortuneately for our friends to the south, if Americans were hated before that has increased tenfold now.
I'm speaking globally in that regard.

Re: fires, there's a new fire in the last couple of hours, 500 acres, near castaic lake. oops. 3,400 acres now. i stopped watching the news to make coffee.

There isn't much of California left that hasn't been scorched by fire in the last few years.
this is the "hughes fire"- it's a fairly sparsely populated area, there are evacuations but i don't think the fire is at structures at this time.
I don't think that is a joke any longer in the idiot's mind. He just doesn't realize that we like our sovereignty and our parliamentry government (if not the people in power at the moment) and under no circumstances would give it up.
Not that joining America in itself would be horrible, but that our nation could be considered so inconsequential that we could be bought or would willingly give up our sovergnity .

I read somewhere where a person suggested if Canada did join the US it would be as 13 new states, the 10 provinces and 3 territories each becoming a state with the requisite number of senators and congresspersons per state
That might mess up the electoral college somewhat
i'm not sure i'd want that if i was canada, splitting up like that... one huge state seems like it would maintain more power.
Ah, but much like American states, Canadian provinces each have a distinct culture, history and values, while part of a confederation. Each province would want to have its own stance on any political position
