but the thing that Palliser devotes his life to is trying to get them to switch to decimal coinage. and despite the fact that they passed all those huge consequential reforms, they didn't get around to decimal coinage until 1971!

a strategy i sometimes use: get in a cool shower, then after you feel better, gradually increase it up to warm, then hot. do this right before bed, then lay down in bed with a fan blowing directly on you

poor woman indeed. Her whole philosophy was that male and female in nature were eachother's equals. Moonlight balanced sunlight. Moon as the feminine thing was as powerful as Sun as the masculine thing. She literally went to pieces before our eyes. So very sad.
hursh: how about colours? The things we call 'red' are not red at all. They just absorb everything except the red light.

yes, but the thing with colours you have to get pretty far into science to know that, whereas the shiny thing, that's just a linguistic quirk that really anyone could notice
hey, if you want your minds blown...photographers are taught the three primary colours are red, yellow, and green.

the first time he said that to one of my kids he ( the kid) was ready to argue. i interrupted, and said don't go there son, it was blow your brain apart.
it always baffles me how my beloved sees colours, compared to how I see them. I think I see hundreds more colours than he does.
ok well i used the list for my last few and they were mostly weird so that's good and now have a pleasant day you people of the future
