oh - missed that post - ty ursh
k killed
haha, I was thinking about how you'd not mind the k in this case.
true :)
fril
cooee and g'day my dearest sprite. how are you doing?
*hugs rose* Hello darling, good to see you. I am okay. And you?
hmmmm. had the ultrasound on my hips yesterday. my GP was on the phone to me first thing this morning. how does walking around on full thickness tears in both hip muscles sound?
ugh seriously painful
as I have said often, if you are in so much pain you cannot handle it, something is the matter!
* wry grin * she now knows i don't make up how painful it is for me to walk. plus bursitis on both hips. when i said it felt like my head was going to explode from the pain i meant it.
so... what now?
so going for injection of steroids into both bursa. has to be a week apart. i opted for the right to be done first. it is the most painful, but only marginally.
will keep fingers crossed they do the trick.
i think she will now respect me when i say something is painful. it is a relief for me in that i know i'm not imagining it. you sort of start to wonder when you have chronic pain. is this something new, or have my wires gotten crossed?
we went to see the hospital pt about rob's knee. He soothed most of my worries. Rob is to start walking the day of the operation, right away. And he can do the two steps to the toilet as well. Stairs in about a week. So no medical care needed at home.
phantom ptomaine
rose, honey, I will repeat it one more time: if you cannot handle pain, something is the MATTER1
oh, and i had both my flu vax and my covid vax last monday.
and hi to you too, seain
oh dear heaven sprite. please stress to Rob how important it is that he is fully loaded with analgesia BEFORE he tries to stand up. AND make sure the nurse/pt does NOT let go of his leg/foot until it is on the floor.
honey, it is very well organised in the hospital, no worries.
what had me flummoxed sprite was that the pain stopped as soon as i sat down. no residual ache, nothing.
yeah I see how that can be puzzling but it should not make you doubt yourself.
if he is in an orthopaedic ward i hope the nurses are well versed in day one post-ops. i was in the cardiac unit. they were well trained in heart stuff, but not in orthopaedic stuff.
yes honey, it is very well organised.........
as I said, most of my worries have been soothed. Which should tell you something.
no it's not. i'm not there to take care of him.
as i said before i had both my vax's on Monday. Tuesday 5am i woke up with every major joint in pain. Don had to wake up, and get me the endone and the valium. Tuesday i was off all day. i slept most of it. and i slept all of Tuesday night. woke Wednesday bright as a button. pain?? what pain?? lol
dutch for watch is in the grid (horloge) but not valid (grumble)
and the funeral was this morning. one of the songs his family had played was a favourite of my Dad's. I had to flee out of the church in tears. it brought back so much grief.
*hugs rose*
ah well. it's all done and dusted sweetie. i'm going to be okay. you know that.
I know that
oh, and last night in bed, my hand was resting on my beautiful blanket, and i had the loveliest thought. Sprite's hand has touched every part of this blanket. it doesn't matter where my hand is, it is touching where sprite has touched.
exactly. As the label says: stitch by stitch made with love. Every. Single. One.
it radiates off the blanket honey. it is such a tangible thing.
very happy to hear it
* hugs * until she squeals.....
:)
fireflies. poofing with hugs.
sorry. call of nature. also ran out of food and drink.
* hugs * honey. I hope you have a great day. love you.
I can be dense. It took me a while to find the i and it is a simple word.
Good morning, Babblers. :)
Hi cross
Off to an appointment
if there is a fo7...why can't there be a po7?
Huh?
hooray, only one k!
i believe phae may have been suggesting a fellow who cleans your backyard swimming tank, btw
Oh, I thought she meant a word that rhymes with fo7 and starts with p and I was like, what the heck is that?
yeah
dang it

Ah Magoo, you've done it again
morning ru

every cat lover knows hork is a word
hork..?
they hork up hairballs
oh
LOL.. and I just had bfast
i hate that sound
yep. time to come running with an intervention
they so hate it when you shove a paper under them
our whole house had wood floors and the cats would run to the one rug to heave
figures.
exactly. They love the rug; And I almost never get there in time when I hear the sound. I keep a solution of vinegar and water around.. it usually works well.
But I hate it
does that discourage where they go?
I guess dogs and cats have something in common after all
in fairness, they are so distressed when you interrupt them.
No, owl. but it does a good job of cleaning it up. Hokie, my cat plays fetch.
they don't understand your strange behabior
Name that Proper Noun. Famous British Cathedral town
no clue
Godthaab, King of The Obscure Name That Proper Noun
They should make an alarm clock that sounds like a cat horking up a hairball--you will never sleep in again.
cross, where do you get these ideas ?
brilliant
I don't understand this P
of course I just had to type that to see 2 more. but still need 4!
maybe it'll work with the upper O. what's up with this O?
nope
morning all
moo
hey TO, happy Thursday
i guess. having new a/c installed. costly.
ah yes, I've done that three times in three different houses
costs more than my two trips to europe last year
and having the door opening and closing is something i avoid during the day- pollen
but the result will be worth it. lost front and back trees to storms and disease, so no shade
yeah, AC is definitely a plus
rehi - speaking of pollen, I pressure washed the porches and all the furniture Easter weekend and there's a very thick layer again out there.
hey hoke
mooo!
finding this grid as annoying as yesterday's
I'm still on the first row
13-14-9-6 after first pass
and I just tried an 8, even though I see there are no 8s
73-28-7-7 :)
I think I have tried to make every -age word possible
must have taken you a long time :)
yes, filmage at 11:00
still only have one O at the top
I need two more
just found 2
still no HOET because of the i
yeah, didn't look to hard for that
so it's still missing
you know the i word....hello all...
hey pen
oh duh.
pen!
hi mool....carla!
Thanks for the I pen.
hello all
bea!
hi Bea...
27 to go... 13-6-5-3
35 here...11-12-6-6
you get half a tiara today, mool... ;o)
awesome, can't wait to show the girls
remember to tilt your head to one side...
is that a requirement?
only if you want it to stay on your head...
oh
I am not well versed in tiara wearing
I've only worn one once IRL
cool....
I don't recall ever wearing one
I've worn a hula skirt and coconuts
I wish I could have seen that!
that would have been a questionable experience
i thought i saw a technique to fold paper here
phantoms: ligament, monogamy....
yeah, if you crane your neck, you might almost see it
so many phonies today
agreed
3OFOET
on a phone call so only half a$$ing it
I tend to use a keyboard rather than my butt
any suggestions to get the pop-up 'preload' of suggested words to disappear
sorry, not getting anything like that here
What browser do you use?
that is happening with me now on chrome, pretty annoying
I have just been hovering next to the suggested word and hitting "x"
i am using chrome and it's not happening here...
I don't know which words it decides to show me
I'm on chrome for mac
ah...pc here...
I will take a look at the settings
that sounds very annoying
just switched to Chrome and don't see anything yet
have looked briefly through chrome settings and mac settings and nothing stands out as causing this
you can apparently customize which sites allow pop ups in chrome
On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More Settings. Click Privacy and security Site Settings. Click Pop-ups and redirects. Under "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects," find the site. To the right of the site, click More Block.
I haven't tried it, because I'm not getting them of coure
it's nothing to do w/ settings, it started this week ... i'll try what you suggested mool
it definitely started after the server change
I'm not sure this is technically a pop-up. I just searched chrome settings for "predictive" and nothing came up. but I'll try what moo said.
yeah, if it's not a pop-up, then could it be a chrome extension? Wondering if it's tied to babble expert or something
i think it might be autocorrect?...you can check that in settings...Time and Language....see if you are allowing it...
no, because there's no babble expert for mac
yeah, pen. I was thinking that too, but I have autocorrect turned off on chrome
my suggestion if for a PC...
but I will check again
check the computer settings not Chrome settings...
wingding, are you mac or windows?
You folks need to install Ad Blocker on Chrome
well, it's not an ad
it doesn't sound like a pop up...
If you are Mac users using Chrome, I have no idea. I thought you had to use Safari on Mac products.
and like I said, not really a pop-up. when you start typing in the add word box, a list of words you've entered already comes up like a predictive text in iphone
no, chrome and firefox have mac versions, as does most software
perhaps it is a mac issue...
Then Pen is right. That is your settings. Like Autocorrect.
mool, ty for the instructions, i following them, still getting it, i had to add the site to my list, and clicked add
i'm on chrome
well, that' annoying
yes, but chrome for mac or chrome for windows?
Ask Dr. God, he might know
I have tried in on two different browsers on my laptop, as well as chrome on my ipad, and don't see it
I have that too, on Safari. New since the Babble reboot.
I finally found a spell check setting in chrome settings that I turned off, so I'll see if that helps.
hokie, windows eleven, my least favourite version today
oh, do you mean when you click add word?
wing...that is what i am using but i don't have the problem...
interesting, was going to call it a mac issue thanks to parisla's input but now, I think maybe it is chrome specific
It must be a Mac issue then. Weird other Mac users haven't mentioned it
before that. Just when typing a word. It suggests endings
no, wingding is on windows
when, i click the cursor in the add word box, it'll pop-up words i've previously typed already
but yes, moo, when you put the cursor into add word
if that's what you mean, then I do see it on chrome on my laptop (not ipad) but not on the microsoft browser, but it also may be because those other two are still operating on cached settings
mine's not doing it now because I cleared them all out with the x and I don't know why/when it decides to add them
Wingding is using an ipad, isn't that Mac?
wingding said windows 11
I'm guessing it's doing autofill, but not sure you can control that by site
molly, i'm on a desktop
yes, an ipad is mac and the default browser is safari but my ipad also has chrome
mool, i think autofill as well, it just started this week
Do a Google search on how to clear autofill on Chrome
I misunderstood what you were seeing, sorry
nbd
see what happens when i complain ...
if you want to try what I just tried, go to chrome settings, languages, and then slide off spellcheck
hokie, thanks for the 'x' suggestion, they're gone now
there is an autofill and passwords under settings but it's more for like filling your name & address and stuff in forms
Does not seem to do it on safari on my ipad, so perhaps it's just a chrome setting
no prob, wingding. you will probably get more but at least you can clear them out for a while this way.
roofing season has apparently begun here
Any help with the i word welcome.
ice house
it's a pretty cool word
no more snows now that it's may 1st?
oh no, it can snow into late May. It apparently has even snowed in June here, but I've not seen that, about May 23rd or so is the latest I've seen, and September 7th or so the earliest
ty got it.
I guess the roofers watch the weather. they put those up in like a day.
yeah
15 to go...have plateaued it appears 6-3-3-3

Hey everyone - i think I have a fix for BabbleExpert
Start run and then paste this: reg add "HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainFeatureControlFEATURE_BROW SER_EMULATION" /v BabbleExpert.exe /t REG_DWORD /d 11001 /f
ty, lickety....um....but where does one paste this?
wow, how did I miss the indian bread?
it's been a long time since I've used a windows computer but I think "run" is a program.
ah, perhaps....
well i am done anyway....tedious finish again....
nice!
well i am heading out....need anything before i go?
google AI tells me Windows key + R or right-click start menu and select Run will open it
no thanks, will probably just list in a bit
thanks...i did find run....added that stuff and nothing has changed for me....but i am done already, so I will try it tomorrow....
goodnight....
Start button in windows bottom left - then type "Run" you get a box to run something then paste this in full reg add "HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMainFeatureControlFEATURE_BROW SER_EMULATION" /v BabbleExpert.exe /t REG_DWORD /d 11001 /f
Or you can start a command prompt and paste it in there
