Clues are up
thank you, Lickety! Morning babblers
cooee my dearest sprite. sorry i missed your entrance but my tummy was growling at me for food...lol
lol tsk, to know that food wins out over my delightful company... Hi sweetie, how are you holding up today?
not too bad actually. i tried the upright bike in the gym this morning. no pain from hips at all but knee was nasty. it locked on me. made me yelp. scared the bejeezus out of the assistant.
great that the hips were not yelling. Still, souonds like the upright bike might be for the near future, not quite yet
did you get much rest yesterday? and how was your night?
I finally got Rob to listen and go to a local gp. And glad we went because his inflammation values were 44 (20 counts as heightened). So new AB.
not cyling the full circle. just half circle down then back up again.
phew! that is high! glad you nagged him.
no, yesterday was horrid. I asked Caya to walk the dogs in the afternoon so I could go to bed after the noon walk. And I did. Then Rob decided it was the day to finally call a local gp. So I got out of bed, into clothes again, in the car, to the gp, to the apothecary.... plus some additional madness. I was crying by the time I got back to bed.
* giggle * it's easier for me to peddle backwards would you believe?
lol
awww honey. not good at all my love. i can well believe the tears.
did you take one with the lot at bedtime?
so I did take sleeping meds, am feeling a little more human this morning
and my question is answered.
my gp has come up with the idea of increasing the tapentadol in view of reducing my usage of endone. for crying out loud! anyone would think i was scoffing them like lollies. one/day. and on a really bad day when even sitting hurts a second one before bed.
what is tapentadol?
that's all i take. will talk it over with dr chris when i go in for infusion. tapentadol is a fully synthetic opioid. supposedly not so addictive.
good idea to talk that over with the pain doc. Seems your gp has some bad experience with patients who become addicted and she is not realising you are in no danger of that. Maybe your pain doc can write her a note.
my usage of the endone only increases during the 3-4 weeks before my infusion time.
remember when the gp assistant did not give me my oxazepam in time for new year? And I had to go through the whole ordeal of fireworks and carbid blasts without it? I got an apology and never again any problems since Noud wrote my gp about it :)
she has written him a letter for me to hand to him when i go in.
great. He can set her straight in his answer.
how can i forget? it was so bad! all i wanted to do was rush over there and snot that person a good one, right on their hooter. i was so mad.
yeah that was hell. And very unfair of her, though I can understand her frustration with patients who want to get their recipes in before the new year (with the new ... what do you guys call that... we have to pay a certain amount of money ourselves before the insurance kicks in). But she should have read my file and realise that was not me.
or listened to me explaining it, lol. Ah well, water under the bridge. Last few New Years I managed very well.
so let's hope your pain doc can ease her mind. He needs to tell her you are undermedicating, never overmedicating. And you are so scared of getting addicted you tend to not take the endone when it is absolutely indicated.
i am absolutely sick and tired of being treated like i am an addict. my gp is fully aware of how cautious i am with my endone usage.
another idea, not sure how that works in Oz. Here, a specialist can write you a recipe as well. No need for the gp to get involved, just informed.
except my insurance does not cover private consults. medicare covers some of the fee but the rest of it has to come out of my pocket. and that can be upwards of $200.
some specialists are very kind, and refuse to charge what they are allowed to charge. like my gastoenterologist and his anaesthetist. both bulk bill, with no out of pocket charges at all.
ouch. Yeah, that was why I asked. It is different in other countries. Here, meds from specialists are almost always covered. After we have paid the standard amount of money ourselves. Usually, Rob and I let the insurance split it over 5 months, so we don't have to cough up almost 800 euro in the first month of the year
oh the meds are covered by our public health service. but the specialist fees are only partially covered which can be a huge draw back.
here we have to have a face to face consult with the specialist to have them write a prescription.
wow that is bad. Specialist fees here are always covered, as long as the specialist is contracted with the health insurance company.
also to repeat a prescription? Here they can repeat without a consult. Or they can prescribe for a certain number of refills.
fireflies
we only took out hospital cover initially. but as we get older i think we might have to reconsider our insurance cover.
WTG SPRITE !!!
hope you can rest today my love. no more running around of possible.
I need to walk Nero a couple of times and I am going to the hairdresser. That is all I will be doing.
*hugs and poofs*

found the or8 but would really appreciate the stats for the other 2
io 8
Thanks ursh, what an odd word that is.
Hi Ursh. My sister moved from Westville and now lives in Joburg to be near their son. So I go there now. Not as nice as Westville!!

top three rows done
Happy Tuesday, y'all!
FW. Last word we 6. Of course no def. Nothing super weird.
hagd!
we6 an obsolete term (of course) that refers to the throat. Really, it's Elmer Fudd speak
it's where you stay waiting for wabbits
somehow none of these posts are helping me find it
we 6 is elmer singing a journey song ... to believe
oops Rod Stewart song
(before molly corrects me)
thanks
I was like, don't stop believing? what does that have to do with a we word
now that song is stuck in my head and I don't particularly like rod stewart
oh, found an 8 on my own
gasoline alley was a pretty good album.. he's become too commercialized since
I'm wondering how there are 10 more Ws for me to find
normal words except one
um.. make that two words that are unusual
I didn't like Journey growing up.. but think Steve Perry's voice is unbelievably great.
it is
I'm tired of Don't Stop Believin but like most of Journey songs. Lights is the absolute best.
found a q
has bichon been back since someone mysteriously posted as her? was the call coming from inside the house?!
Best Journey Song: Stoned In Love. Steve Perry's voice is at the top of rock and roll singers. Right next to Lou Graham.
I was wondering about the Bichon thing too.
obvi freddie mercury is at the top top
looks like bichon is online now
Bichon is like me. She doesn't sign out.
yeah, same
So she is not always here when it says she is here.
found some more q, now just need 3
I wonder how Une is doing.
une passed away
did you not hear she died a while back/
I wondered. Knew she was ill.
ill from what though?
here is the obit, bea. https://tinyurl.com/y8crpz93
she was a very sweet person... so giving of her personal time to the homeless and abandoned animals needing new homes.
yep
so much for me reincarnating as a dog and living at her house
Thanks, Carla.
did you have that on hand hookie?
Re: Steve Perry: I love the song Missing You.
what group did lou graham sing in?
I remembered I emailed it to you, ruru, and found the link there.
is lou graham foreigner?
oh.. I got tired of hearing their stuff.. all sounded the same
my brother ran one of their albums into the ground so bad I never wanted to hear them again.
yeah.. i'm like that with Nora Jones.. My ex used to play her albums incessantly and would drive me nuts.. and the frigging Lark Ascending
I used to play nora jones albums to sleep at night. never really got tired of her though.
it was like waterboarding for me
lol
ok, how do I still have 7 Ss left?
My newest music obsession is JJ Cale.
just found 3 regular w
what kind of music, bea?
Rock, blues.
do you like teddy swims?
I do like Teddy. Also Samantha Fish.
Tedeschi Trucks, They are playing in Raleigh soon.
I like them too. don't know samantha fish.
She is up and coming.
samantha fish is great
does teddy swims sing anything other than his hit?
lol, I think so
I have heard others come up on my chris stapleton radio
I gotta wonder what possessed him to get so many facial tattoos ..
I wonder that about anyone with them
jelly roll, post malone
I just find tattoos so unappealing.. especially on the neck, face ... they don't look great on women either
that comment will get me in trouble I bet
I have a tattoo.
completely agree. so normalized now with genz and millennials. not a fan here. no offense to anyone here who's covered in them, I just think they look terrible, esp the ones that look like a kid scrawled them on in marker.
one tattoo is fine .. bea.. dozens? not so good
is it on your face or neck, bea, or a giant one covering your back?
it's a big boxer face on her shoulders
It's on the back of my right calf. A spool of thread and needle.
to each their own. i have 3 currently, with at least 2 more planned. and if finances werent a limiting factor, i would have a lot more. i dont care what anyone else thinks -- theyre for me, not anyone else. we are born into one body and one life -- im gonna decorate it the way i want and make it mine.
yeah, you do you
I'm saying this without knowing where yours are, but have often wondered about the people that say they get them for them, but they're like on their back, where they can't even see it.
you dont have to be able to see it for it to have meaning to you.
I couldn't handle the needle so I'd never get one
I'm adverse to needle pain
also, I have often wondered about the people (no one specifically here) who complain about having no money but being covered in tattoos, which obviously cost a lot of money.
well you also have green hair eva so maybe the tats work with the color scheme :D
different artists/studios charge different rates. IMO you get what you pay for. so the pieces i want -- i know they will cost a pretty penny, so im saving up for them. but that said, if you have a regular artist or no someone...you can get a good deal.
could you explain that, eva? I promise I'm just trying to understand better. if you can't see it, then aren't you getting it for other people to see?
Oh yes, I worked with a young man that complained about having no money for rent. Couldn't keep my mouth shut, I reminded him he just spent $800 on the tats on his arm.
I just don't get it.. but I'm an old fart what do I know
I'm gen x which seems to be split on the whole tattoo thing
one of my friend's partner is totally inked up. I imagine it'd be like making love to a comic strip
its more that the MEANING of it is for me. i dont care one way or another if someone else can see it or what they think about it. but i dont need to SEE it to feel the meaning of it. IDK, its hard to explain.
ruru, are you seeing gonads in this grid? LOL
okay, well thanks for trying, sincerely
i have one on my lower back, left side. when i was younger, people could see it. nowadays, hardly anyone sees it. i have another on my shoulderblade. and a third on my forearm.
wondering if bea will chime in on how painful a calf tat is
no hookie I missed seeing gonads but the balls in your court now
i am very aware that when people see me with my gree hair + my tattoos, they make certain assumptions about the kind of person i am. but IMO, that assumption is on them, not me. because i am intelligent, hard working, kind, and a damn good person. i have been in the same job for nearly 25 years, and im a fantastic mother.
That's all that matters, Eva.
I agree with that Eva.. you are a very intelligent and fun person. I bet you're a great mother too. He's a lucky kid.
surprise, im a PTA mom!
It's addictive. I also worked with a brilliant woman that got a tattoo every time she was depressed. When I first worked with her it was a single rose on her chest. The last time we had lunch together it was tats up and down her legs, I didn't ask about any other private areas.
do you share custody with your ex with the kid eva?
yup. we split 50-50
shoot, I'm 52 and still like wacky colors in my hair. just don't want to do anything permanent.
permanent on my skin I mean
that's good. Glad he's in the kid's life
clg, I've heard that before. like there's something in the ink that makes it addictive. LOL.
I know several people addicted to getting tattoos
yeah. i wish he were a BETTER dad, but hes not terrible by any means. he loves his kid + we are *relatively* amicable.
it is / can be an addiction
love is what matters most eva
I'm friends with my ex again. it's been good for both of us.
kiddo is getting straight A's and getting awards at school for kindness and generally being a decent human. i think ive done ok so far!
you have, keep up the good work
he's going to be successful in life from being raised right good on you eva
if we didnt share a child, i would have nothing to do with my ex. i dont have ill-will toward him, but he still does all the things that drove me crazy. but we DO share our son, so its important to me that we get along + can coparent. we may not be family with each other, but we are both our sons family.
things like what?
hes a narcissist. hes manipulative and when he doesnt get his way he can get aggressive. everything is his way or the highway.
oh ugh.. good riddance
YUP
he thinks hes SUPER complicated and no one can really understand him...but in reality, hes about as deep as a teaspoon. hes truly a Psych 101 textbook case.
lol
i've gotten a lot better at spotting narcissists and avoid them like the plague
I've been a magnet for them in my earlier life
to this day, though, i still believe he is smart. i know he MEANS well, even if he cant get out of his own way to DO well. i realized in hindsight that i married the potential of who i thought he could be rather than who he actually was.
oh.. that makes sense and he probably love bombed you too
love bombed? never heard that
it's a narcissistic trap
you mean how, even though we had dated in college, then split up + didnt speak for 8 years, when we reunited, he told me about how he thought about me every day for 8 years + called me "the one who got away" ? yeah. deffo love-bombed me.
speaking of traps, I have a lot to do today yet I'm chatting with you lot. ;) 35 left for later. TTFN
I'd better get on my way too. Take care everyone. Thanks for explaining the tattoo thing to me eva. I have had a hard time understanding the passion people have for them.
our differences are what make us interesting!
ha! you couldn't be more different than me.
im ma weirdo. its ok. ;)
I'm a weirdo with a sick sense of humor.. but I'm kind, and smart too.
hello

how have you been, hurshy?
kind of anxiety ridden
i hear that. i FEEL that.
nice to know i'm not alone :)
i sort of oscillate between burying my head in the sand for survival + looking around and being scared + angry about everything.
i think a lot of people are doing that
retretina
*oopies*

this is why i shouldnt babble during meetings. LOL
