good for you Nancy. i understand how hard it is to stay positive all the time. today i reached a personal goal in the gym. since 2013 i have not been able to pedal on an upright bike. today i did it, for a whole minute, pushing my knee through and over the top of the full cycle.
as you reach a goal, you will find the strength to go on and reach for the next one. it has taken me nearly 12 years to reach my goal. be kind to yourself honey. look at what you have achieved.

congratulations on your accomplishment. I live alone and my kids are out of state so I am thankful for wonderful neighbors who have been assisting me for the past three weeks. At least I can still get around with my walker for a short distance but am blessed with babble, television, and being an avid reader to keep my mind in the right place.

My horrible fall was in my very own home. There was a loose strip of wood between the bathroom wood floor and the bedroom carpeting and I tripped and went flying, hitting my jaw against a corner ot
of the wall. It swelled up to be huge and I thought I was a goner. The good lord was with me and I called my emergency
center and they sent the rescue
the worst accidents seem to happen at home. It doesn't take much for bad things to happen. A couple of years ago I broke my ankle so spectacularly that they had to put in a pin of 25 cm and I couldn't walk for half a year at all. And I wish I could tell a heroic story of saving an orphan from a burning home. But... I just missed a step on the stairs.

squad and I went to the hospital in the ambulance. Most of my whole body was dark purple and I was very lucky that my jaw was not broken and that I didnt pass out.

By some miracle, I was able to avoid breaking any bone in my body. I think it was due to my extra layer of padding. I had everything xrayed and was able to come home where I have been for almost three weeks. I was the color purple but just in the last day or so am seeing some brown and yellow emerging.

welki, the foster dog has spent two days at teh vet with an obstruction in his gut. They did not have to operate, but flushed with massive amounts of IV.
oh dear, scary! glad no surgery - what'd he get into?

He has tedinitis in bith his hind legs. :(
It was some string and fabric. ??? He also has a ruptured ear drum. NOt sure if that is causing all of his neurological symptoms or not. He has been restricted to walking on grass only because he walks on his knuckles and has worn the nails down to the quick.

They are looking for another foster home for him because of his dislike for my mom. But they took in six more dogs this week.
We don"t know what caused the initial damage in the one leg, but the vet just called and he has it in both legs, and he will need surgery.
I hope your foster dogs has a full recovery and finds a good firever home.

Crossy, it has nothing to do with strength. We would keep them all too, but part of the reason we foster is to find the perfect forever home for each dog. We have had over 15 fosters through our house. Some needed to be around childrern to be happy. Some needed a quiet house. Others needed lots of exercise. We would keep Seamus if he didn't have an aversion to old women with grey hair.
