thanks. is there an alt sp with ja6? because that I remember.
now just 5 Ps left
no, you made it up to make more sense in your head
very possible
it's what humans often do
hmm, knowledge acquired through meditation
i saw this video yesterday about how japanese children are allowed to do a lot more on their own at younger ages than, say, american kids. like running errands. and it said you basically have to think of japanese kids as all being mini ni5s
kinda made me wish i were japanese lol
well american children used to do that all the time. I didn't live where it was possible but I've heard stories of parents sending their kids to the store with money & a note to buy cigarettes.
there is a tv show in Japanese where a cameraman follows a toddler (ages 3 to 4 usually) as they embark on their first solo errand for mom. It's really amazing.
They always show the route on a street map, and often it's several blocks and turns away from their home.
yeah and i've read also about some kids in some cultures being allowed to make and tend cooking fires and stuff
at quite a young age
but the po5 is, i would like to have been a mini-ni5
I heard about this book last week (haven't read it yet but mr. homie has) called Bud & Me: The True Adventures of the Abernathy Boys.
The show is called "Old Enough" and some of the kids are as young as 2. I think it's on Netflix.
about 5 and 9yo brothers who rode horses in 1909 from OK to NM alone
any guesses on my last 2nd col P?
i need one also

hursh, change the last letter to a different cons.
but then it would be from the top
no, that comes from the upper T, ch
oh, so it does! sorry.
it's an adv that means "with great speed"
oHO i found it
fascinating
i wouldn't have known it from the definition but my wanderoos did their job
and how about the U? have un4
yeah, wonder when that word was ever used
add a vowel
thanks
which is an alt sp of the 4 and I'm just learning means "wavy'"
related to undulating?
wait so is there an i8?
no, who told you that?
you're not missing an 8
all IN: 5, 6, 6, 6, 7. my last one was very regular.
so i thought maybe since we both need four P and i just also need one i, that maybe that was the 8, but i guess we just miss different P and you have a p8 that i do not have
i have one pi8 already
and a pr8
pe8
similar to the pi8
*fish slap*
ok got the i7
that leaves 3 P, two sixes and a 7
oh the party thing you hit!
have it
I have 1 6 and 2 7s
so we definitely have different ones
do you have like how gasoline can be high oc**** but with five instead of eight?
no, thanks. TIT everything starting like that.
now we could be missing the same last two words
true
oh!
the ballerina dances en po6
ah, thanks. I usually miss that
since I assume it's french
one last 7...
and I was never a ballerina
when i was a toddler i had a story/song record about Tina the Ballerina that i listened to A LOT
I had a doll that you pushed a crown or tiara and she would kick her leg up. she had on those shoes and a tutu with leotard. I was so upset that the batteries leaked onto her leo.
oh dear, battery acid does not go well with ballet
just googled - Dancerella
I had the brunette
ok ok take the pe6 i clued for you and change the first vowel and the last vowel
the blonde must've come out later
pe7 is the only thing I rem you clueing
i mean pe7
finger hit wrong key
you've just described pintana
which is not it
well, my clue described that, but it also has another option
which is it
got it. had to go up not down. thx.
:D
now gotta get ready for golf! adios
hot golf?
ever since you said that i just have been so amused by thinking of it as a purposeful activity, like hot yoga
well, it finally stopped raining this morning after days of rain and 60s temps, so it is 79 now and I did sweat a little. but not really hot golf.
the P words are causing me grief
in7 please
someone who might come to your party
if you ask them
ty carla. I did not have the base word
that definitely makes it harder
missing one pi7 and 2 pe7
20 left but quitting soon. sure do miss lickety
or miss babble expert
but you're using lickety's list?
20 is very doable with the list
I don't understand why copying, pasting and using the list seems so difficult for some.
I don't understand how expert is any easier. it's just doing those steps for you as I understand it.
lots of things that are easy for some are harder for others. Take for example Spelling and Algebra.
I agree with that but this is like 6 or half dozen
I was a little stunned when I found out that people who have been playing here...as in using computers for 20 years...don't know how to copy and paste
not talking about anyone specifically, but I think people forgot how they used to play BE (before expert)
I think before Expert it was all about those long lists of "words that start with" like there are at the flip when Lickety is down
I haven't used the list for a long time and would probably have to remember how to use it. Why make people feel bad about it? I cannot use any kind of can opener- the new ones, the electric ones or the old fashioned ones. We all have our deep dark failings.
Also, some of us lose abilities with aging. As Kaplan says, why make people feel bad?
We gain other abilities--like the ability to repeat long stories that we find endlessly amusing.
LOL!
and read books again for the first time
sorry, not trying to make people feel bad. I tried being encouraging for peri to finish, telling her 20 words isn't bad with the list.
Good evening, Babblers. :)
Nothing discouraging about that Hokie. On brainfart days I actually like to be reminded that the words do exist there somewhere!
