how are you traveling honey? have you started packing yet?
didn't sleep much tonight, am still a bit wonky. We are not packing yet, first we need to do other things. If all goes well, I will order the floor today.
i'm tired, but pleasantly so. have done quite a bit today. took my friend who is in aged care home out to see some of her friends this morning. have stripped the bed, done 3 loads of washing, and cleaned the bathroom. Still have to remake the bed, but that is all.

it's strange. i am feeling my usual aches and pains as i do at this stage of my 12 week cycle, but seem to have the energy to get things done. i'm hoping for a pleasant surprise tomorrow when i weigh myself for this week.

4 1/2 weeks til i go in. and, no, i'm not going to try and extend the time to another week or two. realising that i need this time even when i feel okay, has been a huge learning thing for me.

oh ... and i have to tell you just how wonderful our blanket is. Don has not wanted the doona, comforter, quilt, what ever you might call it, all winter. he has been perfectly snug under it too. and he's still wearing summer pj's.
we have decided that we will hire a professional cleaning company to clean the house once we have moved out. It is not too expensive and will save all of us a lot of energy and time and pain. Same with the floor, are going to have it put it, not doing it ourselves

as for the garden here, our neighbour has a motor whatsitcalled, we will ask him to raze it all down so all Caya has to do is put it into the bin. It is crazy, the rental agency wants it all so clean and tidy, while everything here will be demolished within a year.
i know honey. but th4 are probably thinking th4 might be able to lease it for a short time before that happens.

Yes. She has been in rehab for about two weeks. It's slow going. We are preparing for her to come home next week, even though they haven't yet determined that.

I don't like either (there was a song about that), but after reading the reddit snake ID I have a better appreciation and know the venemous ones in my area.
We only have one, and that is the Massasaga Rattler, but they are rare, and protected. Everything else can be handled with no issues.

we have a bear that has been making the rounds this summer. I always talk loud when I take winston out at night. he got in our trash can in the garage (with open door) a couple of weeks ago and trash was strewn all through the front yard. took about 10 min for us to scare him away enough to pick it up. he waited across the street and came back to see what was left.
I ran into one while fishing in Algonquin several years ago, but there was little danger. You can literally smell a bear five minutes before you see it, and if you stuble across a solitary cub just go the other way--quickly.

When we lived up north we had a steel garbage bin with a locking lid to keep the bears and othe critters away. In the fishing camp we had "bear mats" at each entrance to the building.

we had bear spray left from our trip to glacier this summer but never thought to grab it. we tried air horn, leaf blower, finally it retreated with car horn and golf balls.
In the old days they used to just hammer a bunch of three inch nails into a sheet of plywood, but this way is better for the bear.

we pretend to play fetch sometimes. actually he will retrieve, he just won't let go when he brings it back. or he'll run and get it and then just stay where it was.
Our boy will play fetch until he has a coronary, yet his sister prefers sticks over tennis balls.
winston will eat every stick and piece of mulch he sees on a walk. we stayed at a campground this summer that the entire site was mulch. what a nightmare.

he's funny with tennis balls, when I walk him by our courts, he always dives head first into these bushes and pulls one out. I'm afraid he'll get a snake one day, but he manages to smell the balls before we get there. Then he'll carry it for a while and then just drop it. I let him because it keeps him from eating sticks.
