howdy folks. ata, crossy
hi carla!
these As are tough
though I have whittled them down some now
phantom histamine
phantom giant
well, gotta tend to winston and do some house straightening up. BBL for last 20. 6-9-4-1
histamine is a bit of a stretch
histaman is closer to it
well, I don't see it but I'm not going to tell other people they aren't :P
well you gotta call them as you see them these days hokie
I'd have gone for atheist though
and I agree the a's are a pain today
have 2 and 1 left on the A's. there were a lot of babblets I didn't see at first.
good morning!
hi saanich
2 a's to go
got them all now
e
any guesses then?
you have ag6
yes
al5/14?
nope, looking
finally found it, thx
wow tons of weird babblets in this one
Weird babblet is an oxymoron
agreed, maybe he just means ones we don't have as often as others. ps - I think I have tried oftish at least twice.
found my last m.. still no 8
foghat is in the grid
the 8 is a real word....hello all...
yes it is
pen!
carla!
turned my ankle on the tennis court yesterday but it's doing okay. can put weight on it but it hurts to move it around.
yuck....swollen?
not really. I did RICE as soon as I got home.
last time my brother played tennis, he played with me....fell and broke his ankle....
an acronym for ruru to complain about, but I didn't make it up
what's the i word?
is6 silly
oh, that stinks pen
I have done this exact thing before about 20 years ago, running backwards and stepped on the outside of my foot.
ah thanks
he was wearing regular sneakers....his foot caught on something and he went down...
Broke my ankle 9 years ago. Every time a low pressure system moves through my ankle swells and hurts.
interesting, bea....
I have sprained this one 6 times that I can remember. it does give me weightbearing pain randomly, but not right onw.
now
is there any kind of ankle support thing that you can wear when you play?
what to you mean by RICE?
rest, ice, compression, elevation
yes, pen. back when I was still playing soccer I wore some heavy duty lace up braces. I think I have them somewhere in my house - just a matter of finding them.
there may be something less bulky available now....
good point. somehow it has been 6 years since I stopped playing soccer.
I have 4 compression type braces now. Am wearing one, in fact. but I don't think those will do anything to prevent the turning.
i wear a knee brace to prevent my knee cap from going off it's groove again....
I wonder if they make any high top shoes for tennis.
search "brace to prevent ankle roll"....
i believe they do make high top tennis shoes...
my bff sprained hers when we were playing soccer and I took her to the ortho. she had a "high ankle sprain" which he said she would've been better off breaking it.
they do.. research the ones steph curry wears
he's got bad ankles
they are not made the same way....tennis and basketball sneakers....but i am sure there are tennis versions....
yes it's a company that specializes in ankle support
I can't remember the name sadly though
will save this shopping for later. thanks for the ideas.
Curry Brand, a sub-brand of Under Armor....
'morning, everyone
hi welki...
Google says Curry wears Zamst Ankle Braces
Zamst A2-DX Ankle Brace: The Glass Ankle Saviour | Product ... Stephen Curry primarily uses the Zamst A2-DX ankle brace to provide strong support for his ankles, which have a history of severe injuries, including ligament tears, and were once plagued by chronic issues. This rigid, anatomically-fitting brace is known for its ability to prevent the ankle from rolling, providing the necessary protection for Curry's unique playing style without severely restricting his movement.
my company reference was for the sneakers...
I am not sure I've seen high top tennis shoes though.. not sure
there must be some kind of orthopedic solution it's a common problem
Google says the side-to-side motion in tennis requires a lot of ankle flexibility, which high-tops can restrict
I would guess that means if you mess up your ankle/ankle your tennis game suffers
ankle/ankles
or knees
or shoulder
or wrists
or bad
back
it's a physical sport for sure
I sure miss playing it
good morning welki
I think if you're a pro it might be bad, but I don't think it would restrict me enough to tell a difference
welki!
and I do move more on the court than most people here
left 2 cols grey!
good morning everyone - didn't last long last night so a ong way to go still
Wilson Amplifeel tennis shoes are available at Tennis Warehouse...
hi nan....
thanks, pen. will look.
hurshy, what is my missing T in the first col?
yw....
my last one was th5/12 hokie
can't find that i 6 that carla called last night -- stats please?
thought you would guess that. I have it though.
is6/18
do you have th6?
no!
ty carla
how many points?
21
finishes off my T...ty....
still nothing
name that proper name: the mother of Achilles
it's someone who believes in any sort of god
duh, thanks!
no idea, ata....never did study mythology...
ruru, even said a* was a phantom but I couldn't see the phantom (but did I tell him that, no)
anita
(also have no idea)
she was a nymph called Thetis
giving up on the is 6 -- obviously haven't tried everything but it feels like it
i+ a smooth fabric
nan...ends like the metal of cans....
I + a smooth material
oh thy - now I remember
taking a break....bbl for the last 39...bye all....
ah yes. that word!
binging my way through Andor this weekend
ooh found a 7! ma7
mmm - have ma 6 x2 but no 7
it's an alt sp of a 6
kind of folder or envelope
ty -- ma 6 x3 now
I am down to O A F GGG LLL SSS HH A MMM
too many repeats from the 2 h's
-lol just realized that none originate from the corner
i have 9 of the h, one 5 and all the rest 4s
guess I should wake up and have breakfast before starting this!
no sorry the five is from the left H
all mine from the right are fours
ok - so missing 2 4's then
well no cause i still need one too, so we don't know about that one
hitman should be a word
it sure is in calgary :)
David Foster comes to mind
what is the connotation in Calgary welki?
the hitmen is a junior hockey league, one hitman, a team of hitmen. and then there's always vito genovese
good golly
my dad is called David Foster. Who else is David Foster?
a musician/composer who has coached many young singers to stardom-- Celine Dione and Michael Buble to name a couple of them
known for his musical "hits"
i never thought of having musical hits making one a hitman
he made an album by that name
I thought hitman was pretty standard someone who kills people for a living
that too
google David Foster - i'm certain you will recognize some of the songs he has written
So did I Carla. That is what I think of when I see the word. But I think used in that way, it's two words.
I recognized some. Don't like very many. But I am not a Dion fan.
i hear "near... far..." and i think Grover from sesame street
ohh! I thought you meant someone with a gun :D
off for breakfast - bbl
one of my Foster favourites is St. Elmo's Fire
carla - the missing h is hi 5
I have an odd hi5
rhymes with a thing you sleep on
that's the one
the other h 5 I have is he 5/12
just noticed I did not have the hi4 that your hitman had
those are the only 2 h5 I have
I hate it when words that are both singular and plural have an s stuck on the end of them here
so now I probably have the same as hurshy on the H unless she finished and left.
like deers?
and what word here are you thinking of? I don't think I've seen one.
ma 4 which i'm assuming is a misspelled ma 5
but deers is a good example
I used to always say deers to my mom like "I just saw 3 deers outside" to get her to correct me.
I'm not sure I have either of those M's. but I do have the school subj which is funny as a plural to US americans.
canadians are used to both. Brits pluralize the abbreviation because the full name of the subject ends in s
have also noticed they say drugs bust where we would say drug bust. I have adopted that and m5 (not that I talk a lot about drugs).
and I don't think I've complained yet today about agita
oh, are you talking about ma5 (not in grid) from heaven? the ma4 is a different word, not an alt sp. means "the power of the elemental forces of nature embodied in an object or person" or moral authority.
but also food if you keep looking
didn't see that one. I did notice M-W does not show a plural for it.
found my missing H. you know...hell, fury, etc
my last 2 -- si 6/24 and og 5/18 --- totally stuck, help please
well, I didn't know that is the O I need, but have tried all kinds of og5
also need that S
the h or the m must be in that og word somewhere, but haven't come up with the correct combo yet
also had tried many og6 so at least I have it narrowed down now
my thoughts exactly. but still nothing.
got it - miscount -- both are in the word
argh, thanks
ne word for me
the si ends in 2 vowels ( found by monkeys making a typo)
I'm thinking the si6 has to have the g
got it, thx
kinda thought I had tried that
yw hagd everyone :)
hello all.help with either ma7 please
there
there is one that is either the envelope or an alt sp
rhymes with extract you put in cookies, etc
I do not have another
ty
The other is what the postal service delivers in large quantities.
ok, I get the first part of that. how many points?
32
oh, I see it. was thrown off. that's one of the few french words I know!
2-6-2 now
oh, found a 5 by dropping last 2 of that
guess I will list for last 9
OG5 - the original pig. lol
good one
okay, annoying. 2 of my last 9 I already had but they didn't take.
clue or ag 5/16 and ag 6/27 please
*for
I'm ag6 that you need a clue for it :D
ag5/16 is a plural
TY GOT THEM
i amnot gettiing the ag words at all. what is the meaning please?
got one ag 5. hmmmm
the meaning for which ones, mkg?
any ag words but especially the one that is plural. ty.
ty
"masters," "lords," "chiefs," or "elder brothers" and functions as an honorific title, particularly in Turkish, Persian, and other related cultures, signifying respect for a leader, officer, or landowner
wow ty.
LOL! I love it. Thanks, Ata.
atalante, these are ag words? i really cant even imagine them.
Ag + half a laugh and plural
ty perfect. got it. got them.
now just missing the i word for second column i. all help welcome.
is6.18
ty bea. any clues?
i = fabric
I really, really want Shite to be a word. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
heh
‘Shite” is a very acceptable word in this part of the world, Redshoes. In daily usage by Soodle & circle of family/friends.
I've missed all of the obvious today.
hi all
@Soodle, Precisely!
agreed, Soodle, it ought take shite
I tried shite :)
jumping in, hi all
43 to go, stuck, bye
anyone still around?....can't find my last words....fi 5/16 and Fi 4/9....
Hey penq. Not sure if there is more than one fi 4/9 but I have one that is used in a newtons cookie.
I have a fi 5/16 that is a plural
thanks...i have that one....the two words are right after that and before the word that sounds like a sneaker company...
Will try to look for it
hmmm....is it a plural without a singular?
perhaps I have placed words in the wrong spots on lickety....will review that....
ah...i did place them wrong....found what I was looking for....thanks for helping...
i am done...
Congrats
